Chapter 1289: Chapter 1290: Definitely Going to Smash Until Blood Covers His Face

Later, it was An Jing and Ye Zhi who persuaded Su Chengyuan for quite a while, and only then did Su Chengyuan brace himself and cross the Cloud Ladder step by step, very slowly.

As Su Chengyuan crossed the Cloud Ladder more, she also got used to it and was no longer afraid of the height.

Baoqin and Shi Hua, on the other hand, didn’t need any help and were able to complete it, but they were super slow.

Liu Feifei and Ting Shu couldn’t manage without help. Like when ”jumping into a trench and then climbing out,” because the trench was somewhat deep, they could jump down but they really couldn’t climb out of the trench with their hands alone.

They also couldn’t climb over the high wall.

Although they weren’t afraid of heights, they still walked shakily across the Cloud Ladder and the log bridge, nearly falling several times, luckily An Jing and Ye Zhi were there to catch them below.

Ability can be trained. Since Liu Feifei and the others were not strong in this aspect, An Jing and Ye Zhi were not at all disheartened by their poor performance in the 400-meter obstacle race.

On the contrary, An Jing and Ye Zhi were very confident.

Simply because, their soldiers persevered. And they believed that perseverance is victory.

Can’t get over the high wall for now? Then they would use their hands to lift and shoulders to support. She, stepping on their hands or shoulders, could still climb up the high wall and flip over.

As time passes, those who couldn’t get past the 400-meter obstacle would eventually be able to do so.

...

Today, at the second quarter of Wei (a time unit), An Jing and Ye Zhi postponed the planned shoulder throw in the mud field from this time to the fourth quarter of Shen, and changed this time to practice falling techniques.

The falling technique is a self-protection method during falls, to prevent injuries, enhance protective abilities, and change from being passive to active, as fundamental skills.

Mainly divided into forward fall, backward fall, side fall, forward dive, leap and backward fall, leap and side fall, forward roll, backwards roll, etc.

As it was a new training item, Xiao Changyi brought the big generals of the Wolf Camp to witness it.

An Jing said nothing, and directly let Ye Zhi demonstrate the forward fall.

Ye Zhi didn’t say anything either, and stepped out of line, just naturally falling forward entirely.

The speed of the fall was incredibly fast.

Except for Xiao Changyi, everyone else was startled. Falling like that, you would definitely smash your face bloody!

And landing so directly on the face, even if you don’t die, you might lose half your life from the impact.

”No way!” Even, a big general tried to stop it.

But before the general could intervene, Ye Zhi had already fallen, however, to their surprise, Ye Zhi was fine, and even stayed stable on the ground.

Then, they noticed, Ye Zhi had landed on her palms and forearms, and her body didn’t even touch the ground.

”This...” The generals were all stunned.

The new recruits were all extremely impressed.

”Is it supposed to be like this?”

An Jing, likely teasing everyone, still asked this question; at the same time, she also naturally performed a forward fall, with a speed that made onlookers’ hearts flutter, but in the end, she was uninjured, just like Ye Zhi, staying stable on the ground, only her palms and forearms touching, her body didn’t touch the ground at all.

The generals and new recruits: ”...”

Even though Xiao Changyi knew An Jing would be fine, his heart still raced the moment An Jing fell, only calming down once he saw An Jing complete the forward fall action safely.

Even after calming down, he still felt a lingering fear.

Honestly, the forward fall action was indeed very dangerous, slightly improper handling, and it could easily lead to injury.
