Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1264: Chapter 1265: It’s All About Risking Your Life

Ting Shu drank the bowl of water given by An Jing, but Su Chengyuan did not drink it, instead using the bowl of water to wash her face.

An Jing did not care how they used the bowl of water, but as she stepped back into the muddy field, she said, ”I am here to train your physical endurance, not to train you to death. Please be aware of this. And if not through hardship and exhaustion, how could your physical ability significantly improve?”

Without waiting for an answer, An Jing went to Shi Hua and let Shi Hua fiercely execute an over-the-shoulder throw on her.

Then, as she climbed up from the mud, she continued saying, ”On the battlefield, if you are slightly weaker than the enemy, you could be killed by them, only if you are stronger than the enemy...”

”It’s important to persevere,” she caught one of Shi Hua’s arms, with her back to Shi Hua, ”Why am I faster and steadier than you in the mud? It is because I have fallen countless times in it that I can be as I am today. Do you think I never suffered or got tired?”

As she said this, An Jing fiercely threw Shi Hua over her shoulder.

Right after tossing Shi Hua, An Jing continued, ”After all, there are few geniuses. Only through persistent training, learning, and competing can we stand undefeated to the greatest extent possible.”

”You all admire Prince Yi for his prowess, but if you inquire around, who in the army doesn’t know that Prince Yi’s body is covered with scars from knives, having almost died several times due to serious injuries.”

”Going to the battlefield is fighting as if you are not afraid to die. But without any skills at all, you are simply going there to deliver your life, without any chance to even struggle with the opponent, let alone to serve Xiyun.”

”You think it’s hard, you feel tired, but in the army, who doesn’t train without suffering? Without fatigue?”

An Jing had just said this when she was thrown down into the muddy field by Shi Hua with another over-the-shoulder throw.

Being thrown like this, even with a strong body, one would feel pain and fatigue.

But An Jing got up again and while attempting to throw Shi Hua, she said again, ”You should have heard the phrase ’first bitter then sweet’, right?”

”Also,” after throwing Shi Hua over her shoulder again, An Jing continued breathlessly, ”only those who endure the bitterest of the bitter can become superior among men.”

Su Chengyuan sat on the shore, watching An Jing and Shi Hua wrestling. Although the drill instructor An Jing was clearly exhausted, she was still wrestling with Shi Hua, causing Chengyuan to feel somewhat complicated.

Remembering that An Jing, since stepping into the mud field, although not constantly wrestling, still had not taken it easy—either instructing this one or teaching that one, even letting the recruits constantly throw her—it could be said that she truly put her heart and soul into it... Involuntarily, Su Chengyuan’s feelings became even more complicated.

Moreover, the words An Jing was saying now honestly had a huge impact on her.

Indeed, in training, who isn’t tired?

But to improve physical fitness, other than training, non-stop training, there really isn’t any other good way.

Thinking like this, Su Chengyuan somewhat understood An Jing.

Li Wuyu and the others, listening to An Jing’s words, also felt that what An Jing said was very right. Gradually, those among them who didn’t understand An Jing came to understand her completely.

An Jing was not abusing them, not wanting to see them suffer or get tired; truly, she was aiming to improve their physical endurance.

If An Jing really wanted to watch them suffer and get tired, why bother coming down and training together with them?

”’Persistence’, I hope you remember these two words.” After saying this, An Jing once again threw Shi Hua over her shoulder.

Shi Hua was already exhausted to the point of being completely spent.

After getting up again and wrestling with An Jing a couple more times, Shi Hua was no longer able to throw anyone over her shoulder.
