Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1291: Chapter 1292: Truly worthy of being the woman the Prince likes!

Xiao Changyi didn’t think An Jing was too harsh; he was just very worried about her. Even if his wife was alright, this continuous training would definitely result in many bruises on her body.

Since she started military training, her body has always been covered with bruises. Even though he had gotten used to seeing them, it still pained him deeply.

He really wished she would stop this military training.

But he couldn’t.

He couldn’t strip away the bravery that was in his wife’s bones.

Moreover, since his wife had taken the responsibility of handling the women’s military camp upon herself, it was her duty, and she would definitely see it through.

With the ’forward fall’ first, the sight of the ’backward fall’ and ’side fall’ made the reactions of the new soldiers and generals much calmer.

The news of An Jing letting the female soldiers practice falls quickly spread throughout the Wolf Camp. People who hadn’t seen it with their own eyes didn’t believe it, and even went to the boundary between the Wolf Camp and the women’s military camp to see for themselves. When they saw An Jing actually making the female soldiers leap high and then smash hard onto the ground, everyone was like: ”...”

Is it necessary to be that harsh?

From then on, everyone in the Wolf Camp unanimously believed that An Jing ’has no limits to her harshness, only harsher.’

However, for some reason, they felt that such an An Jing astonishingly matched well with their revered and admired Prince Yi...

Truly worthy of being the woman the Prince fancied!

...

Seven days later, An Jing added push-ups, sit-ups, weight-bearing squats, carrying logs, and frog jumps to the training regimen.

Among these exercises, all ten female soldiers especially hated frog jumps because they felt their legs were nearly gone after doing them. That feeling was ridiculously painful yet thrilling.

The leaders of the Wolf Camp discovered that frog jumps were indeed extremely strenuous, so they used it as a form of punishment. The soldiers who were continuously punished with frog jumps absolutely loathed them. Damn it, it was even more tiring than training all day long! Their legs felt like they were going to give out!

Another seven days passed.

And on this day, it was the twenty-third of February.

That morning, instead of having the new recruits run twelve laps around the training ground with weights as usual, An Jing had them go directly to the canteen for breakfast.

The new recruits had never had breakfast so early and were very surprised, so they asked why.

An Jing said, ”You started training on the twenty-third of last month. To celebrate your one month of training, I discussed with the assistant instructor, and today we will lead you out of the camp for a 50-kilometer weight-bearing cross-country march.”

The new recruits: ”...” Are you sure this is a celebration? Isn’t this killing us? That’s fifty kilometers!

An Jing continued, ”For these fifty kilometers, I give you only two and a half hours. The route has already been marked on the map, so even if you fall behind, you can still follow the map to the endpoint.”

As soon as An Jing said this, Ye Zhi immediately took out the maps, handing one to each person.

”On the battlefield, situations can change in an instant. If you are needed for reinforcement, any slight delay might lead to the annihilation of the entire army. I hope you understand the importance and treat this fifty-kilometer cross-country march with caution.”

After a pause, An Jing added, ”Anyone who doesn’t reach the endpoint on time, upon return, will have an additional half hour of practice every night until the 50-kilometer cross-country march standard is met.”

Then, An Jing urged, ”Now go quickly to have your meal. You can rest for a quarter of an hour after eating. As soon as the time comes, we will depart.”

Liu Feifei asked very quietly, ”Instructor, you haven’t mentioned how many jin of weight yet?”
