Chapter 1259: Chapter 1260: Wrestling in the Mud Field

Xiao Changyi watched An Jing with a particularly vibrant look, a barely visible smile curling at the edges of his cool lips. At the same time, he picked up the leather armor An Jing had taken off and helped her put it on.

”My husband.” Watching Xiao Changyi, her husband, fastening the straps of her leather armor, his face seemingly stern yet showing utmost care for her, An Jing couldn’t help but blurt out.

”Hmm?”

”...It’s nothing, just calling out to you.” Actually, she wanted to say that staying in the military camp now, she felt she owed him and their child. But thinking it over, she knew he wouldn’t want to hear that, he understood and supported everything she did. So, not wanting to upset him, she decided not to speak her mind.

”Be careful during training, don’t get injured,” Xiao Changyi still couldn’t help but admonish when An Jing was about to leave the tent.

”Okay.”

An Jing smiled at Xiao Changyi, nodded, then tiptoed to quickly kiss him on the lips before turning around and leaving the tent.

Xiao Changyi did not follow An Jing out of the tent. He continued to stay in the tent where An Jing lived, planning to stay a while longer before heading to Wolf Camp to find Liu Buli.

Su Chengyu had visited him last night, having a deep conversation about his wife training the new recruits. Regardless of whether the training methods were effective or not, Su Chengyu hoped that the high-ranking officers in the army would take a look.

The goal was simple: to hope the high-ranking officers wouldn’t rigidly adhere to the methods passed down by predecessors, but rather, to create better ways to make the training more efficient.

...

The second quarter of the afternoon.

The mud field next to the female soldiers’ training ground.

When digging the mud field, people in the military didn’t know what it was for.

When ten new recruits were running around the training ground, they caught a glimpse of the mud field and didn’t know what it was for. Now, they are about to learn its purpose.

”Do you know why I’ve brought you here to the edge of this mud field?” An Jing asked.

Li Wuyu Road responded, ”You can’t possibly want us to plant rice seedlings, right?”

An Jing laughed: ”Of course not. I want you to wrestle in there.”

Ten new recruits: ”...” Your training tasks are getting weirder and weirder, aren’t they?

”Ye Zhi, come down with me, we’ll demonstrate.” An Jing took off her boots and entered the mud field.

Ye Zhi also hurriedly took off her boots and entered the mud field.

Even though the mud was quite deep and there was water in the field, An Jing and Ye Zhi walked through it steadily.

”Watch carefully,” An Jing said first to the ten people standing at the edge of the mud field, then she rushed towards Ye Zhi. Ye Zhi didn’t resist, and An Jing threw her over the shoulder, fiercely slamming her into the mud field.

Mud and water splashed everywhere, spattering those watching by the field. Ye Zhi, meanwhile, was completely covered in mud.

From head to foot, there was no dry spot on Ye Zhi, all mud and water, indicating the force of An Jing’s throw.

Everyone present was left thinking: ”...” That’s harsh!

Ye Zhi didn’t remain lying in the mud field. After being thrown, she steadied her mind and then got up.

Not caring how she looked, she just charged at An Jing.

An Jing, like Ye Zhi had done earlier, didn’t resist. Then, with an over-the-shoulder throw, Ye Zhi fiercely slammed An Jing into the mud field, causing mud and water to splash everywhere, and An Jing became mud-stained too, nothing clean left on her body.

The audience once again: ”...” That’s also harsh!

An Jing, hit hard, had a moment of unclear thoughts like Ye Zhi, and once she collected herself, she climbed out of the mud field.
