Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1261: Chapter 1262: His Bride Wants It This Way, and He Complies

At that point, no one showed mercy anymore; they fiercely threw each other down.

In just a short while, the twelve people in the muddy field were all covered in mud, to the extent that it was somewhat hard to tell who was who.

When Xiao Changyi and some of the generals from Wolf Camp arrived at the women’s military camp training ground, they saw a few mud figures in the field throwing each other down, and regardless of their exhaustion, they persisted in the struggle.

Among these generals was Liu Buli, the person in charge of Wolf Camp.

Apart from Xiao Changyi, the generals all had this ”...” expression. Simply by watching, they felt tired and tormented. The training they went through when they enlisted never seemed as grueling or exhausting.

Even though the people in the muddy field were all covered in mud and unrecognizable, Xiao Changyi still recognized An Jing at a glance. His wife stood out just that much.

Liu Buli also recognized Liu Feifei. It wasn’t that he truly recognized Liu Feifei, but rather deduced it. Among the female soldiers, it was Liu Feifei who was the weakest, so the weakest in the mud field was undoubtedly Liu Feifei. That was his deduction.

An Jing was teaching Liu Feifei how to throw others down. Liu Feifei couldn’t even execute a shoulder throw, but once she was taught, An Jing saw her husband and some of the generals from Wolf Camp approaching, and she immediately felt joyful inside.

She just knew that her husband wouldn’t go back so soon.

It was not until Xiao Changyi and the generals reached the edge of the mud field that An Jing took a couple of steps towards the edge and said with a salute: ”What brings Prince and the generals here to this place?”

Upon hearing An Jing speak, the generals finally realized that the mud figure saluting to them was Princess Yi—An Jing.

Although An Jing’s words were extremely formal, with Prince Yi present, how could the generals dare to speak casually?

Therefore, only Xiao Changyi was heard speaking indifferently: ”The Emperor mentioned that Instructor An has conceived unique methods for training new recruits and specifically asked this Prince to bring them here for observation.”

An Jingxin snickered to herself. It was really hard for her husband to speak to her like that.

Xiao Changyi truly did not wish to speak to An Jing in such a manner. An Jing was his wife, but now she was also the person in charge of this women’s military camp. An Jing took this military camp very seriously, and he, as her husband and the person she loved most, naturally supported her, and thus naturally accommodated her in conversation.

Turning his head, Xiao Changyi said to the generals: ”If you have any questions, feel free to ask Instructor An.”

Although Liu Buli felt sorry for Liu Feifei suffering like this, at this moment, he was the person in charge of Wolf Camp, a general of Xiyun, and he had to fulfill his duty. So, hearing Xiao Changyi’s words, he really voiced his doubts: ”How did Instructor An come up with the idea to use this method to train new recruits? This General observes that the intensity of this method may not be suitable for some of the weaker soldiers, though it can indeed be used for tougher soldiers to train.”

Upon hearing Liu Buli’s comment, An Jing believed that General Liu truly lived up to his title. Indeed, her method was not suitable for the weaker soldiers, but for the stronger ones.

”My intent is exactly to turn the weak soldiers into strong ones,” An Jing said candidly.

Liu Buli said, ”The General is only concerned that Instructor An may be too hasty, and the weaker soldiers might be drilled into debility before they become strong.”

An Jing knew that Liu Buli wasn’t saying this for Liu Feifei’s sake but was genuinely addressing the method of training new recruits; hence, she had no reason to be angry, as indeed that could be a possibility.

However, ”General Liu’s concern is unfounded. These training methods have all been reported to the Emperor, and I have informed His Majesty that I will make timely adjustments, naturally ensuring that the weaker soldiers won’t be trained to incapacitation,” she replied.
