Chapter 1267: Chapter 1268: Her True Strength

Ye Zhi had just rendered Du Aya incapable of getting up before she walked over to An Jing.

While watching Su Chengyuan strive to keep wrestling with Tobanya, Ye Zhi nudged An Jing with her elbow, and with a curious smile asked, ”What happened when I wasn’t around? Her transformation is so significant.”

An Jing just smiled without saying a word.

But Ye Zhi didn’t mind, nor did she continue to ask what had happened, instead she said, ”She’s really starting to look like a soldier.”

An Jing still said nothing, just smiled looking in the direction where Su Chengyuan and Tobanya were wrestling.

Soon after, Ting Shu, Shi Hua, Li Wuyu, and others had recovered enough strength, confirming they could wrestle again, they all began to wrestle in the fields anew.

Those without wrestling partners were taken on by either An Jing or Ye Zhi.

This cycle continued until, except for Liu Feifei, the nine new recruits had truly wrestled in the muddy fields for two hours, and only then did An Jing allow them to come out of the mud.

Both An Jing and Ye Zhi could clearly see that after this session of mud wrestling, the recruits had all changed somewhat, complain less, endure more.

Those who could withstand hardship and fatigue had also increased.

The transformation in Su Chengyuan in particular was there for all to see.

And for this result, both An Jing and Ye Zhi were very pleased.

Seeing that it was getting dark, An Jing did not continue to the next training item, but instead let everyone go to take a bath.

They were all covered in mud now.

An Jing and Ye Zhi did not go to bathe immediately, but went together to check on Liu Feifei and see if she had woken up.

Seeing that Liu Feifei had not awakened, An Jing and Ye Zhi then went to clean themselves up.

An Jing had just finished cleaning herself up when someone outside the tent reported: ”Instructor An, Liu Feifei has awakened.”

”Understood.” After dressing in clothes suitable for going outside, An Jing went to see Liu Feifei.

Upon seeing An Jing, Liu Feifei cried, pleading, ”Instructor, please, don’t send me away from the military camp, I will work even harder, I can persevere, I really didn’t expect that I would faint.”

An Jing immediately comforted her: ”You are already a soldier, and you haven’t done anything wrong, so why should I send you away from the military camp? Your physical fitness is not up to par, but with more training, one day you will improve, as long as you persist.”

”I can persist! I can keep it up! Thank you, instructor!” Liu Feifei broke into a smile through her tears. She was truly worried that she would be sent away from the military camp because she fainted.

An Jing said, ”In the future, don’t cry anymore, you are a soldier, in this military camp, you may shed blood, but not tears.”

”Yes!” Liu Feifei immediately nodded vigorously.

At second quarter of You hour, the military camp began to have dinner.

At sixth quarter of You hour, Ye Zhi once again led the new recruits to the training ground. It was completely dark now, torches were lit around the training ground, but it was still visible.

An Jing faced Ye Zhi and the new recruits, her hands behind her back, kicked the sandbag on the ground: ”Without my saying, you all should know what I’m going to have you do. Weighted running, still ten laps, whoever finishes first can go back to sleep.”

They had already run with weights in the morning, and now they had to run again at night?

Although everyone felt that the constant training throughout the day was very hard, not a single person complained. Upon hearing An Jing’s words, everyone began to tie sandbags to their hands and feet, and then ran around the training ground.

But the people who finished the ten laps first didn’t go back to sleep; instead, they helped those who were falling behind.

And Su Chengyuan actually finished the ten laps before Shi Hua.

An Jing and Ye Zhi were both somewhat surprised. It seems that Su Chengyuan had been slacking off during the previous weighted run and had not put in her full effort; and now, this was her true capability.
