Chapter 1257: Chapter 1258: If All Else Fails, Change Tactics

Du Aya immediately stepped out of the ranks, single-handedly picked up the hemp sack, and with ease, she pushed it above her head with both hands, her arms straight, the sack above her head. Moreover, she looked particularly relaxed at this moment.

This arm strength...

An Jing’s face showed no expression, but her heart was quite surprised. Could this be considered innate divine power?

The others were very surprised. Not only did she look like a man, but she also had powerful and vigorous strength?

At this moment, everyone thoroughly believed Du Aya’s claims that she had killed a pig at her house with a single punch.

”Instructor, how long should I hold it?” Du Aya asked.

An Jing did not specify how long, but simply said, ”You hold it until I tell you to put it down.”

”Yes, Instructor.” Du Aya did not ask anything more.

An Jing looked towards the other nine recruits and asked, ”Who among you can lift a 300-tael weight as easily as Du Aya?”

Shi Shi said, ”Instructor, I can try.”

”Good.” An Jing immediately agreed, then asked Du Aya to put the sack down and let Shi Shi give it a try.

Shi Shi tried. She could pick up the 300-tael object, but she was unable to lift it. After several attempts without success, she gave up and stopped trying: ”Instructor, I can’t lift it.”

An Jing ordered Du Aya and Shi Shi to return to the ranks before turning to Tobanya and asking, ”Can you lift it?”

Knowing her own strength, Tobanya replied as soon as An Jing asked: ”I can pick it up, but I can’t lift it.”

Du Aya immediately said with great joy: ”Haha, finally, I am the first, right?”

An Jing’s eyes instantly filled with a cold intent as she glanced at Du Aya: ”Du Aya, we are in training right now.”

In other words, be serious.

Du Aya immediately silenced herself, not daring to speak or laugh joyfully, but inside she felt very exhilarated. Only she could lift it, they all couldn’t, haha.

Seeing Du Aya had regained a serious and earnest attitude, An Jing then asked the others, ”What about you, can anyone else lift it?”

The other recruits immediately replied loudly, ”Reporting to the Instructor, we cannot lift it.”

Only then did An Jing say, ”Du Aya, although your arm strength is astonishing, you still have to train in the Stone Lock exercise.”

Du Aya: ”Yes, Instructor!”

With a twenty-tael Stone Lock in each hand, forty taels in both hands, Tobanya, Shi Shi, and Li Wuyu could still lift it and maintain it for a certain period of time. This exercise was not too difficult for them.

But it was very difficult for Lie Qi and the others.

Lie Qi and Baoqin could lift it slightly over their heads, but they couldn’t straighten their arms.

Shi Hua, Ting Shu, and Su Chengyuan could lift it as high as their ears at most; any higher was impossible, and furthermore, they couldn’t maintain it for the duration An Jing required.

Liu Feifei was the worst off, only able to lift the Stone Lock to the height of her chest at most, and couldn’t even hold it for a few seconds before lowering it. Then, with all her might, she tried to keep the two Stone Locks at waist height. But due to weak waist strength and unstable stance, not only were her hands trembling, but her body too was shaking.

It wasn’t much better for Shi Hua and the others. As time passed, they too began to tremble. Yet they couldn’t just put the Stone Locks down and not train.

Seeing that out of the ten people, only four could straighten their arms, An Jing quietly walked to the side with Ye Zhi to discuss. They decided to first continue training this way for a week to see the effects before possibly changing tactics and using smaller Stone Locks.
