Chapter 1294: Chapter 1295 Bandits

Qin Yi promptly accepted the command and left.

...

On the other side, Ye Zhi had already dismounted and was leading her horse, walking slowly along with Liu Feifei and Ting Shu.

However, Ye Zhi’s face wasn’t flushed, and she wasn’t out of breath, whereas Liu Feifei and Ting Shu were exhausted to death.

Now, they had only traveled thirty-five kilometers, with fifteen more to go, and Liu Feifei and Ting Shu’s pace was particularly slow, meaning it would take a long time to reach Ru Xi County.

Just as they continued to walk forward, suddenly, five robust men burst out from the deep grass, each holding a knife.

”Third Master, there happen to be three girls here, and they are quite pretty. Let’s tie them all up and take them back. You, Boss, and Second Master can each have one. How about that?” someone flattered the sturdy man standing in the middle.

The Third Master, while eyeing the pretty faces and figures of Ye Zhi and the others, said in a sleazy tone, ”Do as you say. Tie them up and take them back to be the wives for my elder brother, our second brother, and me.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Zhi realized that these men were bandits. However, her Boss had clearly sent people to scout the area, and there were no bandits around this road. How could they have encountered bandits then?

Ye Zhi stepped in front of Liu Feifei and Ting Shu, protecting them behind her, and challenged, ”Which bandits are you from? You’ve got some nerve blocking our path. Don’t you see that we are all female soldiers?”

The three of them were currently wearing Leather Armor; anyone with eyes could tell they were from the military camp.

”Female soldiers?” The Third Master obviously didn’t believe it.

But one of the robust men spoke up with a coarse voice, ”Third Master, they do seem like female soldiers. Didn’t you remember, the Imperial Court was recruiting female soldiers in the second half of last year?”

Only then did the Third Master believe, but he remained indifferent: ”So what if you are female soldiers? Once we capture you, nobody will find out.”

Liu Feifei and Ting Shu were now too weak to even take on a single strong man. Ye Zhi was on alert internally but still calmly asked, ”How can no one know? If we disappear around here, anyone with a brain would suspect it’s the work of bandits from this area.”

The Third Master said, ”We are not the bandits from around here! We just happened to be passing by for some business, and when we saw you, we hid here. We were originally planning to rob you of your valuables, but now, we’ll take both your valuables and your beauty.”

”Then where are you bandits from?” Without knowing the origins of these men, how could she find them to avenge today’s grievances in the future?

One of the strong men actually revealed it: ”We are bandits from Everlasting Mountain.”

The Third Master then slapped that strong man on the head: ”Why are you telling her so much? Get on with it and tie them up, we still need to hurry back to our stronghold!”

Before Ye Zhi could ask where Everlasting Mountain was located, she saw the five bandits approaching them, intending to tie them up, but how could she possibly comply? She told Liu Feifei and Ting Shu to quickly mount their horse and escape, while she dealt with the bandits.

A single horse could carry two people. Liu Feifei and Ting Shu were not stupid; they understood that since they had no strength left, staying back would not help but rather hinder Ye Zhi. Therefore, as soon as Ye Zhi told them to ride away, they quickly shed their burdens, mounted a horse, and rode off.

Planning to find An Jing and have her come to rescue Ye Zhi.

”Don’t let those two women get away!” Seeing Liu Feifei and Ting Shu attempting to ride off, the Third Master ordered his men to capture them.

But Ye Zhi blocked them.

Then, Ye Zhi engaged them in combat.
