Chapter 1253: Chapter 1254: Incompetent Soldier?

Du Aya saw that Li Wuyu actually showed off together with Shi Hua and immediately laughed and scolded, ”So you won against us once, and now you’re so proud, I’ve won against you so many times, but you’ve never seen me this happy. Jade Jade too, she has always been the first place.”

Li Wuyu replied, ”It’s precisely because you always win against me, and this rare win of mine against you is all the more precious, harder to come by. Not to show off would feel like I’m not doing justice to my hard-earned victory over you.”

Du Aya laughed even harder but still said, ”Alright, I’ll give you that.”

Ye Zhi, while watching Li Wuyu and the others talk, whispered to An Jing with a smile, ”Boss, doesn’t it remind you of us in the past?”

Back then, in the military unit, a group of them lived days that seemingly involved competing in everything, yet they shared a particularly solid bond.

An Jing nodded and also whispered back with a smile, ”It does. I hope they can end up just like us.”

Suddenly, Ye Zhi’s eyes dimmed quite a bit, and her voice became even lower, barely audible, ”Boss, I miss Daxia, Niuzi, and the others.”

Fortunately, An Jing had good hearing and heard it.

An Jing was silent for a moment but said nothing, just soothingly patted Ye Zhi’s shoulder.

Ye Zhi’s emotions came quickly and left just as fast; she soon recovered.

Meanwhile, as Ye Zhi and An Jing were secretly talking, Lie Qi and Baoqin had already completed their 300 rounds.

The only ones left under the barbed wire were Su Chengyuan, Ting Shu, and Liu Feifei.

Su Chengyuan must have been stimulated by the events of the morning, and indeed she had been embarrassing enough then, but now she was particularly serious and truly looked the part of a soldier.

She was probably really trying to redeem herself, to regain the face she had lost.

Seeing Su Chengyuan like this, An Jing and Ye Zhi both hoped that Su Chengyuan would continue to take the training this seriously. This was not child’s play, and it couldn’t tolerate her messing around.

They just feared she might lose interest quickly.

Like just yesterday, she had promised that she wouldn’t fear hardship or fatigue, wishing to stay in the military camp and be a good soldier to show An Jing, but then this morning’s event happened...

Honestly, An Jing felt rather disgraced.

These were her troops.

If a weak soldier came from her command, how could her face gleam with pride?

So, at this very moment, An Jing truly wished for Su Chengyuan to regain some pride, no matter for whom.

After all is said and done, An Jing simply did not want people looking down on their female soldiers.

This place was especially harsh on women.

Women had barely managed to win the opportunity to join the army, so she hoped these ten recruits could earn respect for women, not letting others continue to look down on them.

At the very least, the status of women here needed to be slightly elevated.

Just as An Jing was thinking this, she saw Su Chengyuan complete the 300 rounds back and forth under the thirty meters of barbed wire.

As soon as Su Chengyuan crawled out from under the barbed wire, no one dared to help the exhausted Su Chengyuan stand up, because in the morning, when everyone tried to assist Su Chengyuan, she refused their help, and even now, she still wouldn’t speak a word to them.

Su Chengyuan still had a gloomy demeanor.

But Du Aya was a person who didn’t take negative matters to heart, and upon seeing Su Chengyuan finish, she got up and ran over, helping Su Chengyuan to stand. She intended to help her sit down next to them, but Su Chengyuan wanted to sit on the other side.

Du Aya didn’t mind it either and helped Su Chengyuan sit down where she wanted to.
