COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

The sophomore boys’ team has started game and is in position.

The boy who was arranged to appear in the first group was Koenji Rokusuke.

This is also the arrangement of Sakayanagi’s class.

Koenji is a famous freak, but most of the students know that he got first place after taking exam on uninhabited island.

But students at that time could only see Koenji getting high scores every day, but they could not see how powerful he was.

You can see it now!

This is also beneficial to Class A in Grade 2.

For example.

”Look, the one who runs the fastest is a student from our class.”

”It’s Koenji Rokusuke!”

”With Koenji here, even if Sakayanagi-san doesn’t give any extra instructions for this sports festival, we can still win!”

Because of her illness, Sakayanagi did not participate in the instructions for this sports festival, so Katsuragi took over.

It seemed that some students were feeling uneasy.

The reason for making this arrangement now is to hope that Koenji can get first victory and thus boost morale.

Now first group of second graders are in place.

Bump! Rocket!~

With sound of the starting gun, Koenji Rokusuke rushed out like a fly and won the first or second place with an excellent result that was ten meters ahead of 3rd place.

”Yo! Koenji’s taking the lead-look at that bastard!”

”As expected! Koenji is built different! Kakkoii!”

”Ayanokoji is behind... but he’s not even trying? Chotto matte!”

[Midway through the race]

”Wait-what the hell? Ayanokoji’s closing the gap...!”

”Uso daろ?! Was he just jogging before!”

”He’s not even breathing hard! Nani kore?!”

[Ayanokoji suddenly matches Koenji’s speed]

”This can’t be real! He’s keeping up with Koenji?!?!”

”I thought Koenji was untouchable-how is this happening?!”

[Final stretch-Ayanokoji accelerates]

”H-hold on-HE’S SPEEDING UP?!?!”

”MURI MURI MURI! This isn’t normal!!”

”Koenji just glanced at him-he’s actually acknowledging him?!”

”Ayanokoji-kun... is he even human?! Yabai!”

[At the finish line]

”No way... Who won?!”

”Shinjirarenai.....”

”Koenji didn’t lose right, but... that monster. Oi oi... Who the hell is Ayanokoji Kiyotaka?!”

Is it true that sport monsters are really cheating?

But why do we say that it is first or second place?

”Drop!”

The referee standing at the finish line and responsible for recording raised the small flag in his hand, requesting a temporary suspension of the race, while he was going to check surveillance to confirm information of the first place.

According to original procedure, the competition for each group should be very tight.

Then, in order to save time, the next group needs to prepare while front group is running.

But now he can only suspend the project and retrieve the footage.

That is to say.

Some players run too fast and even with the referee present, it is impossible to determine their results, so need to use monitoring to input.

”You guys are really outrageous.” At this time, Kanzaki, who had been pulled ten meters, also arrived at the finish line.

Standing with other contestants, he then spoke to Koenji who had already reached the finish line.

He was in the same group and won third place.

At the same time, Kanzaki Ryuji felt very lucky because the person who was originally scheduled to compete in the first group was Shibata.

But when he saw that Koenji had signed up for the first group, he immediately asked Shibata to give up.

Since everyone knows that Koenji is a monster, it is definitely best to avoid participating in activities with him.

Because only the top three will have extra points rewards, 5 points for first place, 3 points for second place, and 1 point for 3rd place.

Then first place will definitely be taken by Koenji.

Therefore, it seems a bit of a waste to arrange the elites of class here.

But since it was his first exam, Kanzaki thought he could still try hard, so he signed up for it.

Because other classes might see Koenji and avoid it, but this also means that no elites from other classes will come to compete for it.

So, maybe he can find some bargains.

Right from the beginning, he realized that Koenji and Ayanokoji had left him far behind.

Didn’t even get second place, but had to eat 3rd.

”Ayanokoji-boy.”

Koenji stood at the finish line, looking at the boy who was following closely behind him and talking to him while maintaining the same speed.

He is proud, but he also recognizes those who are capable.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka’s speed was recognized by him.

It was because the two people’s speeds were too close and they arrived at the finish line almost at the same time, so referee needed to check the surveillance to confirm ranking.

”I was just asked by the class, so I indulged a little bit of my true strength.”

”A little bit, you say?”

Koenji didn’t believe that Ayanokoji was the type to work hard for class.

But other party came out last year because of Hikigaya’s recommendation.

Well, this year... However, Hikigaya-kun seems to have stopped interfering in Class D’s affairs, and it has become more difficult to drive Ayanokoji.

In other words, the reason why Ayanokoji is here now is because...

”The rankings have been determined.” However, referee said at this time, interrupting.

”The first place is Koenji Rokusuke from Class A.”

”The second place is Ayanokoji Kiyotaka from Class D.”

”The third place is Kanzaki Ryuji from Class B.”

”So, next up is second group of second graders’ competition.”

Unfortunately, referee did not give them much time and directly asked to continue the project.

As a result, Koenji and Ayanokoji had to temporarily evacuate here.

”It looks like I’m the first one. But what event will you participate in next?”

”My project overlaps with yours.” Ayanokoji Kiyotaka said in his monotonous voice, then turned around and left.

Because the two are in different classes now, their bases are also different.

”That’s really interesting.” Koenji said, looking at the other person’s back.

You know, whenever he participated in a project, he would find that people from that group started to withdraw their registration the next day.

That is to say.

He was well-known for his power, so when other students saw him in the batch for this project, they immediately ran away.

He will definitely take the first place, and from a strategic point of view, it is better for other classes to avoid him.

After all, the five mandatory events in the first round are selected from 5 out of 13 events.

So he takes up 5 spots, and there are 8 other projects to choose from.

As a result, Ayanokoji knew there was a tiger in mountain, but he still went there.

’According to the reasoning just now, Ayanokoji-boy was not driven, but now it can be confirmed that it was his own idea. This guy has been hiding in the class for so long. Now he caught up with me completely and even signed up for the same programs....What does this mean? It means Ayanokoji-boy wants to fight me. It’s like issuing a challenge! Battle of the Strongest!’

”This courage is indeed rare. But whether Ayanokoji-boy has the ability to catch up with me needs to be actually evaluated.”

He got a little excited.

Koenji thought so and took out a small mirror to continue looking at his face.

He is so beautiful today.

However, Ayanokoji returned to the classroom without showing any other expression.
