COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

If something happens to Yagami... then it would be really good.

”Yes.” Teacher Mashima responded to Isshiki, and seemed not to be prepared to say anything else.

He followed the team escorting Yagami and continued to move forward, heading towards school gate.

But Utomiya and his friends were not the only ones on campus.

Class 2-A students immediately took snaps and sent them to their little princess Sakayanagi.

xxxxx

In student council.

”The second-to-last place is Class C 1-C, and last place goes to ----

Class 2-D! 300 points will be deducted from evaluation scores of above two.”

”These are results of special exam for this cultural festival.”

”The school will deduct the collected points from sales and return them to respective classes. The points will then be forwarded to head teachers of each class.”

”Students in each class, please apply to your homeroom teacher during the meeting tomorrow.”

Hikigaya-kun announced that the exam was over and turned off radio.

”Ding ding!”

However, Sakayanagi’s cell phone, which was placed on the table, lit up.

Someone must have sent her a message. Not just one.

Beep! Beep!

Oho....

”Hey, Yagami was expelled. Then a student saw it and took a photo. What an incredible news. I feel like yawning.....”

’Is that so? Then you have a lot of puppies!’ Hachiman still understood a little bit that there seemed to be many students in Sakayanagi’s class who wanted to climb up and become her confidant to replace Kamuro-san.

But Hachiman thinks they won’t succeed.

Because Sakayanagi said that dogs who bootlick will never be loved.

Hikigaya-kun also feels the same way.

He also found rebellious people more interesting.

”Normally, if a student drops out, the student council will be notified and asked to confiscate his/her cell phone. They will also be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. But Chairman said that I don’t need to intervene....Boring.” Sakayanagi seemed a little dissatisfied, and put down her mobile with a thud.

Because she, President, was not taken seriously and was directly skipped.

This is not in compliance with regulations.

This does not comply with regulations.

However, Chairman Sakayanagi is her father who sent her this message.

’So can it be understood this is an illegal operation by Chairman?’

Hikigaya-kun is quite supportive of this person. ’I feel that he is someone like Horikita Manabu who sticks to the bottom line. But Chairman will now violate the rules, which means....other party has determined that Yagami Takuya is danger. That’s why you don’t want your daughter to get involved. Otherwise, with Sakayanagi’s attitude. It falls over if you push it with your hands. Very dangerous.’

”....what?”

”I have this weird feeling you are thinking bad stuff about me, Hikigaya-kun.”

”• ! •”

”I did no such thing.”

”Are you sure?”

”Yes, I am. You should take some re--”

Meow!~ Meow!~

Hikigaya-kun’s phone lit up as well.

[The mission is completed. Hikigaya, you owe me half a favor this time. Since you stood up for Komiya, I will only remember half a favor.]

by Ryuen.

It was sent by Ryuen, and he seemed to be very capable. He could even bargain.

The tyrant maintained his composure.

”Why is your notification so weird?”

”Meow!~~ Meow!”

”Hmm...It sound familiar...Could it be, no way...you didn’t right, Hikg----”

Soon he found that phone had received another message.

It was from Ishizaki Daichi.

[Hikigaya, it’s bad. Ryuen-san got beaten so badly. That Yagami is too strong.] by Ishizaki Daichi.

Along with a photo.

It was the image of Ryuen being beaten into a pig’s head.

”Pfft....fufufufu----hahah.”

It is indeed so.

Junior Yagami is very dangerous.

”It...fufu...It seems that Hikigaya-kun has a very extensive intelligence network.” Arisu Sakayanagi finally controlled her emotions, replied to her subordinates, then put down phone again to get a clear view.

If you move a little closer, you can see that other party’s screen seems to be showing a scene of fighting.

Although it was a bit bloody, the boy who was beaten into a pig’s head seemed to be Ryuen.

”I’ve made some preparations. Do you remember the wounding incident on the uninhabited island?”

”Is it about the attack on Komiya and Shinohara Satsuki?” At the same time, Arisu recalled that when attack happened, Hikigaya-kun directly mobilized the boys from 3 2nd-year classes to search for 1st-year junior Yagami.

It seems that he has determined that Takuya Yagami is the culprit.

Although the matter was eventually stopped because Chairman Tsukishiro stepped in, and when results of the uninhabited island exam were announced, Hosen was offered as a sacrifice.

The reason was violent injury.

Generally speaking, this incident is characterized as Hosen injuring someone.

Could it be there is actually another hidden story?

”The criminal at that time was Takuya Yagami. But, I was not able to expel him for various reasons.”

Sakayanagi understood those last two words very clearly. Yagami was a failed product as expected.

”So, can I understand that it was you who caused the expulsion of your Junior Yagami?”

”Your tone is accusing. But Yagami and Amasawa are both White Room. However, unlike her, he was completely trained mentally by White Room. When I was in contact with Amasawa, I met her instructor. He was Shiba-sensei from Class 1-D. That person...was dangerous who liked to use violence and ignored the general rules. So I judged that Yagami was likely influenced by other party in his teachings.....”

”• ’ O”

”If that’s the case, then it’s very risky to keep him in school. Just like your father temporarily resigned and was replaced by Chairman Tsukishiro, confirming that Yagami is a student of White Room, such casual interference, I’m afraid I will also fall into it. Even though I can’t touch him, I’m looking for a time to eliminate him. And that time, I judge, is now.”

Beep! Beep!

”You...”

Bam! Bam!

”Oye! Sakayanagi! Why are you beating your phone?”

”I just tuned volume down. But it’s still making noise.”

”....So, you gave it a beating?”

”Is it bad? I don’t think so.”

Her reply was so innocent, it made our Vice President doubt his own name for a while.

The classmates who had sent her messages were still asking her whether you should follow up with instructions, such as whether you should investigate why Yagami was expelled from school, but now they didn’t need to do that.

Because the person who caused this incident is right here.

Moreover, Hikigaya’s consideration of the way White Room was handled just now as an ordinary student was indeed very reasonable.

Sakayanagi herself knew it.

’This time, cultural festival was held with great fanfare, and even used the gimmick of being the first time that Advanced Nurturing High School was open to the public, and all students and faculty members were invited to participate. But core reason is still the same. Because of pressure from Ayanokoji-kun’s father, school gate had to be opened. It’s just that this time, father didn’t come in person.... So, these are all games played by adults, and we are just children now. But Hikigaya-kun, one day in the future, you will also become an adult. And when you are the son-in-law of my family, you can also stand on the table and play games with them....Therefore, you need to be cautious or even hold back now, but you won’t have to do so in the future....I just wonder if your sister explained my family’s advantages to her brother.’

”It’s true that White Room is not very stable when it comes to birth product. As I mentioned before, I visited White Room once when I was a child. But, at that time, I felt very sorry for the children who were locked up in that facility.... That is a training method which kills talent instead. As for being able to stand out in a place like that, rather than saying they were cultivated with great effort, I would rather think that students they selected from beginning were geniuses themselves.”

”...”

’It seems Sakayanagi is too young to think what she knows is the ceiling....’ Even Hikigaya-kun couldn’t deny this.

Because among White Room students he came into contact with were Ichika Amasawa, Takuya Yagami, and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

Among them, Hachiman is what everyone sees. ’However, Ayanokoji is confirmed to be the big boss, while Amasawa is a genius who is good at looking down upon herself even after being proud.....Although they all say that Ayanokoji is the only qualified one among White Roomers. But, I too have doubts about whether other party is a genius taught by White Room or is a genius in himself.’

”Overall, Hikigaya-kun, you did a good thing for students of school this time. What are your plans for tonight?” President Sakayanagi decided to try harder after structuring her goals, ”As daughter of Chairman, I can give you a commendation. So, I will arrange for Kamuro-san to go to the store to make preparations. Then I will let the chef take care of Knife fish that I purchased during this period.”

Deliberate purchase.

Although you can buy anything with points at school, if you get tired of school meals or ingredients, you can also spend points to buy them from outside. In theory, it is possible.

However, considering students’ health and food safety, school did not agree to Sakayanagi’s proposal.

However, for this cultural festival, many classes hope to purchase various items from outside the school, and even a large amount of food.

Then, in order to respond to students’ expectations, school specially invited all the staff from quality inspection department.

So, Sakayanagi took advantage of this time to borrow quality inspection staff to conduct her own menu!

Then, girl was able to buy the expensive ingredients wanted to eat.

”Woah....did you?”

It felt like even her image was getting a little too big.

”Of course, I used excuse that Class 2-A had to deal with cultural festival.”

Her face looked extremely smug.

’In other words, you have again abused public power for personal gain! But since Sakayanagi would collect some points from students in her class as tribute, it was normal for her to be a little willful....After all, true selflessness is admirable. But this world is neither gentle nor right. Although there is still option of changing world, most people choose to bow, and then find they can live a better life this way....Knife fish. This is very expensive but tastes....I have only seen it on TV.’

So when faced with Sakayanagi’s invitation, Hikigaya-kun was somewhat tempted.
