COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Kushida and Komachi moved together and headed towards the gymnasium.

Perhaps they arrived too late, because at entrance of the gymnasium, music was already playing.

It was already a bit late, and by the time girls arrived at the gymnasium together, performance had already begun.

Starts at 3 o’clock and lasts until 4:30 in the afternoon, and cultural festival ends at 5 o’clock.

So it is very urgent.

Of course, it would be nice to end the day with performance.

Therefore, not only the tickets that were previously booked, but also guests who are currently visiting the campus and even students of the school came to participate in performance, treating it as end of the cultural festival.

Among students of our school, some from lower classes who didn’t have much money also came to watch the performance.

But entry threshold is 40,000.

If you want a seat, you need to make a reservation or pay extra.

However, performance is about to begin, so some standing tickets will be sold appropriately.

Standing tickets only require vouchers worth 20,000 to 30,000 yen, which is suitable for poor students in school.

Of course, I don’t know whether these people want to complete their own cultural festival experience or come to see their popular classmates.

Because Amasawa knew that some people paid a high price to buy seats.

One seat is 500,000 private points.

That person bought 3 at a time. And two of them were together and one was separate.

Generally speaking, when something like a high price appears, it becomes abnormal, but after checking the list of people who paid high prices for seats, Amasawa chose to remain silent.

After all, everyone makes money, so if someone is willing to give it to you, just take it all.

Although cultural festival uses vouchers, there are many people who want good seats and want to reserve, so Ichika has already drawn 2 million points from here, which is a fortune.

It is not a loss to take another 1.5 million.

Moreover, they are still in school and living under each other’s wings, so it is only right they give in a little.

Amasawa is still very clear-headed.

”Then let’s get started!”

On the makeshift stage, Hikigaya Hachiman, Ichinose Honami, Yukinoshita Yukino, Hoshinomiya Chie, and Chabashira were all on the stage, mentally prepared.

Because they were going to sing~~

Bitter Sweet which was originally intended to be the finale.

But there were too many people coming today, so finally decided to heat up the atmosphere first.

Otherwise, if you throw in some small soldiers and crabs first, it will continue to wear out patience of the audience, and then it will be difficult to sell standing tickets afterwards.

It would be better to just deceive their emotions first.

This was Sakura’s suggestion.

She hadn’t expected so many people to come, and as soon as she found out about this, she made this suggestion.

It’s just to whet people’s appetite.

Actually, Sakura has a pretty face, but she always wears plain glasses to cover it up.

She is really good at keeping people in suspense.

But the question is, if you bring out the finale now, what will happen after normal performance?

Regarding this, Amasawa suggested that performance of three of them be postponed.

This is probably why the number of songs Hikigaya needs to practice has increased from 1 to 3.

The love that does not come for the first time is to take into account unexpected situations and then to end it in end.

After the stage curtain opened, everyone took their seats.

As expected, a lot of people came.

They would be nervous standing on the stage, but for some reason, they were not nervous at all, but completely excited.

In other words, as a student of this school or a graduate of this school, it is impossible to be stage frightened.

Psychological qualities have been continuously exercised.

”Meoww~~”

Hachiman was in charge of playing the piano, but it was too big and heavy, so he used an electronic piano.

”Woohooo!!”

”N-No way, no fucking way!”

”I don’t believe it---”

”Marry me, Marry me! Chabashira!”

”Hell yeah!”

Chabashira-sensei was holding the bass.

As for the bass, it was originally planned to be unplugged, and Chabashira-sensei would just pretend to play it, but teacher seemed to have watched students train for a long time, so also went to practice!

So, now you have to play it for real on the spot.

This is understandable.

After all, Chabashira will leave after teaching this class, so current activities may become her memories.

Naturally, she does not want to have the memory of pretending to play piano on the stage for her life.

”Konnichiwa, minna-san~~!” (こん)

”Hey, that’s Chie-sensei!!”

”Phewwww!!!”

”Damn it, my heart is bleeding!”

”Shut up, woohooo!!! Let’s start it already!”

Teacher Hoshinomiya was playing the drums, with Akeno-sensei wearing a cheer leader costume beside her to move her stick.

Um....

Although Chie is a bit weird mentally, it is undeniable that she is quite capable.

Now, music has started.

[It tastes a bit bitter, like chocolate.]

[I accidentally saw your serious profile]

[Heart pounding, accelerating]

[Every time I gaze at you, my heart beats]

[I want to be closer to you]

[Please pay attention to me quickly. Before this sweet feeling melts away, I want to be your special one!]

This is Bitter Sweet, a song that is very popular among young people. It is a sweet song in itself and it is even more so when sung by a sweet-looking girl.

”A-Archangel!!”

”Don’t be nervous, Ichinose-chan!~~”

”I want a signed photo~~no, just shake my hand!”

”Fuck you, don’t pollute the air with your germs!”

”Daisuki! Ichinose-chan~~!”

Ichinose Honami is a well-known figure in the whole school and is everyone’s archangel.

Famous for his academic performance, friendly personality, and angel-like aura of tolerance, she has helped many freshmen who have just entered the school.

She is also highly regarded among the sophomores, and even has many supporters among 3rd-year students.

Very popular.

Otherwise, there would not have been a vote to drop out of the class last year.

Even Yahiko, who was expelled, voted for Ichinose as an outsider.

”Yeaaahhh, I want to be closer to yo~~~!”

So, Ichinose has her own popularity.

She has a lot of fans, both male and female.

But usually can only watch her from afar, didn’t expect that she would be so eye-catching when standing on stage.

She tied up her cascading golden-pink hair into a single ponytail, which originally looked very approachable, but now gives people a lively feeling.

She is the lead singer.

This is also time when everyone hears her voice the most.

Some people say that when you become an audience and see your favorite person shining on the stage, your heart will become even more excited.

Hikigaya-kun did not deny this.

Just like when he saw Sakayanagi’s performance on the ship that day, he knew that girls who performed seriously would shine.

This is especially true for those who are already very popular.

Now Ichinose is also sparkling in Hikigaya-kun’s eyes.

[It tastes a bit bitter, like chocolate~~]

”Hey, hey, who is she? Do you know?”

”She is a first year. How could you not know this? Are you a senior or something~~?”

”Gomen~~Goemneeee!”

The other lead singer is Yukino Yukinoshita.

This is a freshman who just entered the school.

She is quite popular among her peers, famous for her grades, talents, gifts, aloofness, and beautiful appearance, but usually people can only admire her from afar.

Didn’t expect that she would be so eye-catching when stood on stage.

She also tied up her long black hair into a ponytail, which reduced her cold demeanor.

Amasawa was worried that Yukinoshita had a cold personality and wouldn’t be able to cooperate well with others.

But now it seems that she was worrying too much.

Because now she is really dazzling.

Before this joint performance, she and Ichinose were just nodding acquaintances, and she regarded Ichinose as a second-year senior and a colleague in the student council.

However, now on stage, in order to create an atmosphere, Yukino needs to interact with Ichinose, whether it is shoulder to shoulder or eye contact, it is great.

For those who don’t know relationship, they would think between the two is pretty good.

”She is my sister! Go, Yukino-chan~~!”

Judging from Yukinoshita’s elder sister, Haruno, whom Hikigaya met today, this performance alone should be enough to put other party at ease.

Because it means that Yukinoshita is not isolated. She already has someone who can be called a companion.

Speaking of which.

’Ichinose, have you and Yukinoshita become so close? Have you become friends? Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to work together so well.’ Hikigaya-kun initially considered finding friends for Yukinoshita, from Isshiki Iroha to Amasawa Ichika.

But now he realizes that Ichinose seems to be more suitable for Yukinoshita.

For Hachiman right now, what he needs to do now is not to be distracted.

”You’ll definitely win! Shinjiteru!~~!”

Don’t be distracted at all!

He has asked Sakura to help record the video, so that even if he is participating and cannot watch as a spectator, can still watch the video afterwards.

”Encore... Encore!” As their song ended, the audience was still shouting for another song.

This is reassuring.

Because this means that task of mobilizing atmosphere has been successful.

”Sugoi! Sugoi! Once moooree!”

”Come on guysss!”

”Kandou shita! I am so m-moved!”

”HoooooHooo!”

Now they can throw in some small projects to mix in real ones. They can take a short break and then prepare for their real projects later.

Because subsequent projects were suddenly brought forward and schedule was disrupted, everyone would feel stressed.

However, Hikigaya and others were in a pretty relaxed mood.

”It’s so embarrassing....”

”No way, Sae-chan was really vibing!”

”Thanks for your hard work~~”

Back to the backstage, Amasawa came over with water.

”Amasawa, have you finished all the work in student council?”

Ichika was not in the performance just now.

She did not participate in that was transformed from finale to opening.

Because she is also one of the lead singers, it was a bit strange for three people to sing on stage together, and the song Bitter Sweet just now was only suitable for two people to sing together.

So, Amasawa seemed a bit redundant, and naturally there was no need for her to stand on stage as well.

”Well, I just finished it....!”
