COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Horikita-san, you said you wanted to be the commander. But if we rank last in this exam and get deducted points, our living expenses will become very low in the future.” Some people also raised doubts.

This is Kushida Kikyo.

She smiled like a friend and asked, ”So can you take on this responsibility?”

Are you responsible? There seems to be gunpowder flowing.

”Kushida-san.” Seeing that atmosphere seemed to be changing, Hirata-kun quickly stood up and said, ”This time, we will all take exam together, and work hard to try not to be at the bottom.”

”I have carefully read the rules of this exam three times.” However, Horikita Suzune wasn’t having it today, rather she really didn’t care at all, ”There are many students in our class who are poor in athletic ability. But, according to rules, everyone has a basic score of 5 points, and then they can get another 5 by participating in the 5 registered events as required. No. of excellent athletes in our class is not very low, especially Ayanokoji-kun and Sudo-kun. It is almost certain they will get points for any event they participa-----”

”But your plan is just a safe approach,” However, Kushida-chan interrupted her plan with a smile on her face, it’s really too obvious.

”Then let’s do this. Let’s make some agreements. Just like Hikigaya-kun back then.”

Three months have passed since he left their class.

Although some people don’t want to admit it, they also discovered that Hikigaya-kun went to Ryuen’s class, which was a timely help and icing on the cake.

Ryuen’s class has risen to prominence.

It’s simply astonishing.

So some people wonder if Hikigaya had not left the class, would it become like this?

But now all this is useless.

Hikigaya-kun is no longer a student in this class, and even Koenji is on run.

So, should you also get rid of this class and seize opportunity to leave?

Recently, it’s not just one student who has thought this way.

”Although Koenji-kun has left, I don’t quite agree with his plan to settle points in advance. Because it will dampen the enthusiasm of our students. If students make outstanding contributions to class. Then not being able to collect the award until graduation, I think that’s very unfair.”

So, are you speaking up for Koenji?

But everyone disagreed that points should continue to be given to Koenji.

After all, it was him who said that he would take away everyone’s 8 million and his contribution would stop there.

”Horikita-san, what do you want to say? Do you want to offend people?”

”Kushida-san, I just said that I have read the rules of sports festival three times.”

”.....”

”Because there is a rule that rewards points for participating in mandatory events, class with more students can get more basic points. There are 37 people in our class n----”

”But number of people in other classes is about the same as ours.” Karuizawa felt like she needed to say something at this time.

It should be said that although Kushida was questioning Horikita’s proposal, Karuizawa was also listening carefully to Horikita’s strategy.

”That’s what I’m going to say next, if you don’t interrupt me Kauizawa-san.”

”• ! O”

”Because number of people in the four classes is similar, everyone’s basic scores are too, but whether you can maintain it instead of signing up for other events, not only not getting a ranking and wasting your energy, but also losing the extra points you need to pay for threshold by signing up for sixth event, becomes crucial.”

”For this sports festival, I Horikita Suzune will arrange for everyone to undergo a physical fitness test. If you don’t meet criteria, then just apply for the five mandatory events. And you don’t have to ask for a particular place. The last one is also fine. This way you’ll end this special exam.”

”However, if you are physically fit, you should continue to participate and sign up for other events, and then aim to get points as rewards. As for those who will make outstanding contributions, if they can get first or second place in total score this time, I suggest that all points they get be distributed in proportion to students who have participated in sixth, seventh or even tenth items and obtain points.”

Then you are really asking for too much!

However, proposal put forward by Suzune is somewhat tempting.

There are many poor students, so as long as you complete your own project, even if you are the last, you can survive this sports festival, right?

Is it so easy to skip this special exam?

”If we were to get first or second place in the total score, it would be the students with good physical fitness who helped a lot. But other students, even the poor ones, participated, right? Everyone gave 10 points of support. So I suggest that we follow... um, initial plan of only taking out half of the points to reward students who have made contributions to the class.”

This statement sounds reasonable, and people are already nodding their heads.

They can get stuff for free. Even shitty people like what this guy is cooking!

”So, Yukimura-kun, do you think we’ve gotten out of situation where we’re in the bottom two in total scores and need to be deducted points?” However, at this time, Suzune looked directly at Yukimura with a cold face.

The calmness and composure in her eyes are astonishing.

But this kind of look made Yukimura touch his ears in embarrassment.

Because although he is usually good at studying, now is the time when he needs strong athletic ability.

Although, Kiyotaka agreed to help him with training, it was only second day and nothing had started yet, so he was of no use.

Then only ones who can stand on the side of scumbags are naturally....

So, just now Yukimura was trying to boost popularity of these poor students, in order to alleviate the evaluation of him given by whole audience in previous special exam.

”Do you know that everyone’s basic score is what other three classes, A, B, and C, can d If everyone can do it, what do you think our chances of winning are? So it’s not about what you have contributed to the class, but you just have to do it because others can do the same.....Or do you want me to praise you for bringing 10 points to the class? Then you might as well say, Yukimura-kun, it’s amazing that you can breathe, talk, and take a bath by yourself.”

Suzune said aggressively, water particles around her seemed to be quite frozen and visible.

”Um… this—” Yukimura’s voice became smaller and he sat down.

Today, Horikita-san put a lot of pressure on him.

”If there are no objections, I will draw up an agreement during lunch break and have everyone sign it.”

It’s like she’s forcing everyone.

”....But... It’s unfair, right? What do we get out of this?”

Is there still someone who is opposing Horikita’s prestige?

”Since everyone is required to sign the agreement, I will also pay for corresponding insurance. 2 million points. If you get top two in total points, everyone will not lose their living expenses, and students who contribute to class will also receive extra income. But if unfortunately we still fall into the bottom two in total score and have to deduct points, then 2 million I give can barely provide some subsidies.”

”Ahhh! Why it feels like I have more problems in life today?”

”I don’t understand what just happened at all.”

”Kushida-chan, please work hard!”

”Yes...I don’t know...why do I have to sign a paper or something like that?”

”I... don’t want to be held accountable.”

”× ×” Chabashira once again realised what kind of people she previously wanted to graduate from A.

Life is very hard for these people.

During lunch break, whether you liked it or not, people started signing the agreement that Horikita-san had written on spur of the moment.

Then, during Hikigaya’s break, you can see that students from Horikita’s class are actually measuring their physical fitness.
