COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hikigaya-kun then retracted his gaze, because it was strange to keep staring at others.

Especially when he looked in the direction of Chabashira-sensei, he found that other person seemed to be looking at this side several times, and when Hachiman looked over, Chabashira looked away as if he was a little unnatural creature.

This feels a bit strange.

The last time Hachiman saw a girl like this was when he had just conquered Karuizawa and got her help.

”....! •”

”Sing to me like I’m the only one in the crowd, Ichinose-san!”

Um....

At that time, Hikigaya-kun told Karuizawa not to turn around and look at him casually.

But now stage belongs to girls. So, he continued to serve as a lonely guy’s dream embellishment.

”I’d sell my dignity just for one wink! PLEASE! Just look at me once~~!”

Ichinose rarely shows weakness, and now she has taken the initiative.

After song, atmosphere in venue was revived.

”Ichinose-sama! That voice… that stance… you’re making my knees weak, yamete kudasai!”

”Hehe~~Meow! Meow!”

”I got a b-boner! Uwaaa, yasashiku shite kudasai!”

”Hello everyone, I’m glad that you all came to participate in the cultural festival of Advanced Nurturing High School. Did you have fun? The song we just sang was White Album. Have you heard of it?”

”Those lips! That smirk! Kyaaah, I can’t take it anymore!”

Who is this person who showed weakness in front of Hikigaya-kun before, but now livens up the atmosphere without any haste?

She is a genius at making dogs mad!

Hachiman felt as if he had seen another advantage of Ichinose-san.

Although she said that she knew very few songs and some of them were even out of touch with times, her singing skills were absolutely fine.

If she finds a music teacher to continue her training, maybe girl can even debut as a singer one day.

Of course, Hikigaya-kun doesn’t want her to do this, because even becoming a singer would become very difficult.

Also, having a singer wife doesn’t mean you can have exclusive access to her private concerts.

Because three minutes on stage is result of ten years of hard work off stage, so you are either constantly listening to other person’s monosyllabic concert practicing their pitch, or you are passively listening to the other person’s single on repeat.

Hikigaya-kun’s tolerance for looping a song is only 200 times.

He doesn’t want this to reduce his interest in Ichinose-san.

”Seeing everyone’s enthusiastic response, I can finally rest assured. I was actually very nervous to bring such a quiet song to everyone at the beginning, mainly because our members all like this song very much, and I like it especially,” In fact, the real reason is that Ichinose only knows these few songs.

But this is art of language.

At least, teachers who had been making a commotion earlier because of Chabashira-sensei had calmed down.

”Motto! Motto! Encore, bby!”

Now continue to watch the students’ performances.

Some people were also encouraged.

Hachiman and others have prepared three songs, and there will be a buffer time between each, and that is case now.

Ichinose encouraged current atmosphere.

”Well, let’s introduce members... First, I’m Ichinose Honami from Class 2-B.”

Ichinose’s speech was touching yet well-organized.

When she introduced ”other lead singer at the opening was Yukinoshita Yukino from Class A of first grade.”

”Saxophonist Yukinoshita”

”Bassist Yukinoshita”

Atmosphere on the scene became unexpectedly high.

Yukinoshita has a great appearance, and as soon as she enters school, she can compete with Horikita for first or second place in terms of beauty.

She has always been well-known among students for her image as a strong and beautiful girl.

But now, seeing Yukinoshita like this, Yukinoshita who is almost omnipotent on the stage, ordinary students can’t resist at all.

”This is Amasawa Ichika, who is from same place as Yukinoshita, Class 1-A.”

”Yahaooo! Everyone’~~~!”

”The next song is a duet between Amasawa and Yukinoshita.”

This means that not only Yukino can sing, but also play bass and even saxophone.

Even Amasawa Ichika is okay?

How can there be two all-rounders on same stage? What’s wrong with this school? Many people thought so....

Junior Ichika was also very good at grasping the atmosphere. She took microphone and introduced herself.

”Ichika Amasawa——”

”Step on me with your foot~~!”

”Onii-sama, take me with you!”

”Eat my soul! Eat me! I mean it! I’m tasty~~~Fresh blood~!”

”We bow! We bow!”

”Ichika-sama! Ichika-sama~~Soni!~•”

???

Hachiman noticed something strange about Ayanokoji who was sitting in an inconspicuous position.

First of all, his position was special, and Yagami Takuya was sitting in the row in front of Ayanokoji.

But one of the three men in back seat of Ayanokoji frowned.

In addition to being a student of Advanced Nurturing High School, Ichika also has another identity as a former student of White Room.

”Ichinose-chan! Your voice is like silk—smooth and irresistible!”

The frowning middle-aged man quickly gave up.

Obviously, although they identified Amasawa as a control group among the fifth batch of WR students, but unfortunately.

She has now left White Room and is no longer under their jurisdiction.

So this means these three men are actually instructors in White Room.

’It seems that Mr. Tsukishiro is still powerful. It’s just a pity that he couldn’t come here today, or... there’s no need for him to come in person. So that’s end of it, ----Yagami.....’ Hachiman withdrew his gaze.

”Then there’s our pianist...Hikigaya Hachiman!”

Look, while Ichinose was still introducing them, starting with herself, then Yukino, Amasawa, and finally him.

In fact, Hikigaya-kun felt that Ichinose was being selfish, because didn’t he say that more important something is, more it should be placed at the end?

Of course, reason for such wild thoughts is probably because Ichinose is so dazzling right now that even Hikigaya-kun finds it difficult to resist her charm.

So, he used willpower to look away.

But Ichinose has already picked up the microphone, ”Next is Sound of Destiny.”

The previous song White Album is a song by Yuki Morikawa, and this one Sound of Destiny is a song by Rina Ogata.

Both of them are characters from a polyamorous anime called White Album, but songs are still very famous.

In the first decade, which was generation of our parents, these songs were popular.

These songs are taken care of keeping in mind staff of shopping street and faculty, and these songs were popular in their youth.

For students of this school.

”Hontou ni yabai! I’m not okay!”

Seeing versatile side of Yukinoshita and Amasawa is also very valuable.

For Class 1-A, their status as representatives is unshakable.

”Next, it’s the last song. Although it’s not very famous, all of us members like it. ~Unreachable Love!~~!”

Love that can never be achieved.

If it was simply background of the song, Sakayanagi-san, who was sitting in the audience, would have already investigated it clearly.

It’s a song written by a loser.

”Obowe Hobowe....Kawaii!~~”

However, although this song has a bad meaning, Hikigaya-kun’s performance is still very good.

The tunes of first two songs can only be said to be flawless, but this one is the only one that has emotion.

It really is worthy of being trained by her personally.

Perhaps because she was in a good mood, Arisu Sakayanagi said to the little girl Komachi beside him.

”Komachi, Hachiman’s piano skills were taught by me, so he is very talented in this area....fufu!”

It obviously feels like bragging.

....Oh?

’So, does this mean that brother actually has a pretty good relationship with Sakayanagi-nee? He even learned piano! Learning it is not an easy task. Both practicing and teaching require a lot of energy. That means....you probably like Onii-chan very much. Meow! If the girl has such an attitude, then as a younger sister, shouldn’t I do something? At least I should remind Onii-chan that there is a very suitable person around him...After all, rich women are hard to come by, and the fact that she likes him is like he is extremely lucky.’ Komachi then began to waver.

”Mom, my sister is shining! Look!”

In the audience below, Ichinose’s sister could hardly take her eyes off her Onii-chan, and looked happy.

”Yeah.” Haruko mother also took out a handkerchief and gently wiped the corners of her eyes.

”Ichinose, marry me! Or at least let me be your background dancer!”

”So illegal. So illegal! How could there be so many beautiful girls here~~I wanna live here. I wanna~~~!”

~Angel & Devil~

”Lagdi ai Hoorr~~~!!!”

Um... Mother always felt that her incompetence had delayed the development of her two daughters and even brought psychological trauma to her sensible eldest daughter.

But now it seems that Honami has already walked out.

’Works well with Hikigaya-kun. I hope they can still be this good after graduation.....’

But her daughter will be married at that time, and even though Haruko will be happy for her Ichinose’s happiness, but also a little reluctant.

This is probably the feeling that mothers have to experience.
