COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”o ~ o” Manabu’s face looked like he didn’t give a single bit of fuck at all, ”That was Hikigaya’s commission.”

”Eh? Brother’s request?”

”Yeah. Just when you were going to the dormitory, I was standing downstairs to meet the person arranged by Hikigaya, and he handed me a bouquet of flowers,” Manabu pushed his seizure blue light glasses, ”Today, not only are we here as guests, but teacher Shizuka Hiratsuka, who recommended Hachiman Hikigaya to this school, is here too, so he wanted to give the flowers to him.”

Hikigaya Hachiman was not admitted to the school in a normal way.

As former student council president, Horikita Manabu knew this.

Then, as a student in Class A, he actually used authority of the student council president to browse information of past graduates.

Then he learned that Chabashira, Hoshinomiya, Sakagami, and Mashima-sensei were all graduates from the same year.

The person who recommended Hikigaya Hachiman was also from Chabashira’s class, and was also class representative of hers.

The battle record was also brilliant, and Class B almost surpassed A.

Although she was not successful in the end, several people in her class seemed to be favored by Chairman and were given special letters of recommendation.

However, record of the lower-ranked Class D almost surpassing Class A has been broken by Hikigaya Hachiman.

Teacher Shizuka Hiratsuka should also be relieved.

As they were thinking this, Manabu and Komachi discovered that Tachibana Akane came back with a confused look on her face.

”What’s wrong, Tachibana?”

”...I just gave flowers to teacher named Hiratsuka Shizuka that Hikigaya-kun specifically asked me to give them to....But, look, she moved the car away, but found another place to park it. She said she would have to stay for another half an hour because she had to wait for her companion, a girl named Haruno, to come out.”

Wait for your companions.

Since Hiratsuka is a guest, her companions are naturally also....

It’s 17 o’clock now.

The school gate was closed, but her companions hadn’t come out yet? Did they get lost or something happened, or was it... intentional?

And if it was intentional, how could other party delay staying in school?

When you come into society, you will find that social etiquette is very important.

This school has its own bottom line, especially since current chairman is Sakayanagi, he can firmly maintain his bottom line.

’Could it be that he violated rules this time?’ While Manabu was thinking in absurd direction.

”Wow, someone came out!” Komachi who was sitting in the car let out a yelp that caused even Manabu to look towards school gate and saw guests coming out.

But it wasn’t the girl named Haruno that Shizuka Hiratsuka mentioned.

The gate was reopened, but four men came out.

Three adults in suits were escorting a boy who was in a state of panic.

”I don’t accept it!”

”I don’t accept it!”

”I haven’t even fought Ayanokoji Kiyotaka yet, I haven’t even fought him yet!”

”You can’t do this to me!”

”You don’t want to see me expelled from school without doing anything, right? After all, my failure is also your failure. So, I don’t accept it!”

The boy looked delicate and innocent, but his emotions seemed to be completely out of control.

”Yagami, I’m sorry, give up. Don’t you know? He tricked all of us.” But one of the adults shook his head and said to give him a lesson, ”So, he is still the strongest. In fact, we have already fought. And you have already lost.”

This sentence was like poison, and the boy, who was just in high spirits, instantly became like an eggplant hit by Karuizawa.

His mood completely dropped.

Face was lost.

”…”

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

Horikita Manabu knew this name; he was a classmate of Hikigaya Hachiman in his former class.

It seems that not only is this school unique, but students are also perverted.

A lot of things happened in places that his predecessor didn’t know about.

A lot of things did happen.

xxxxx

17:00.

Hikigaya-kun returned to the student council.

”Meow meow——”

As soon as Hachiman returned to the student council office, he saw a white puppet running towards him with a ball of yarn in its mouth and wrapping its body around his legs.

Hikigaya-kun doesn’t hate cats. He has a cat named Kakun at home.

It was not here during the day, but now.....which means...

Hachiman looked towards table of student council’s vice-president.

There sat a very cute silver-haired girl.

”It seems that our pianist has finally remembered his duty. Next, do you want to announce test results of this cultural festival, or should I do it?”

”Hachiman-kun.”

Yes, indeed.

Now it’s time to work.

’But can you please get up from your seat first? President Sakayanagi. If you sit like this, how will I have the nerve to sit down again later? Also, don’t you usually call me Hikigaya-kun? How did it suddenly become Hachiman-kun?!’

Because Vice President Hikigaya has returned, Sakayanagi, who had just taken over the position, stood up.

So, he turned on computer on table.

Generally speaking, after a special exam is over, results will be sent by the school to student council president’s email first.

It will also be sent to Computer.

As Vice president of student council, Hikigaya-kun certainly has the authority to make inquiries.

Because if you go out into society, you will find there are two people in charge of one position, and half of the time Vice president is doing the work, while person in charge is slacking off.

So, most of the work is done by deputies.

After coming to office, although President Sakayanagi often slacked off, she recruited Katsuragi to help.

After not being able to bear it anymore, she even arranged for a first-year student to come in, and also assigned him a capable Yukinoshita.

So, Hachiman’s workload is not heavy.

”Sakayanagi-san, aren’t you getting too close?”

He sat back in his seat, turned on his computer, and screen lit up.

But Arisu, who had just given up her seat, did not leave, but stood beside him, very close to him.

You can smell her pleasant scent.

This girl also changed back into white suspender stockings today, so as long as you take your eyes off computer screen, you can see her fleshy thighs wrapped in stockings.

It makes people feel unable to take their eyes away.

Hikigaya-kun still felt that she had gotten a little too close today.

It obviously wasn’t like this before.

”In fact, I haven’t confirmed the results of this exam yet.” But Arisu Sakayanagi used a very legitimate reason to be that way.

So that’s it.

When he was looking at the results, she came over to see too.

’But don’t you have a computer in your office? Or if you are the student council president, test results will be sent to your email first, so can’t you just check it from your phone? But Sakayanagi is probably also working on office work right now.....’ Hikigaya-kun then stopped talking and opened council’s work email.

The results of this special exam have indeed been sent out.

[A total of 12 classes participated in this special exam, with sales as evaluation criterion.

Class 1-A grade achieved a turnover of 30.43 million and won first place.

Class 2-B achieved a turnover of 24.11 million, ranking second.

Class 2-A achieved a turnover of 23.99 million, ranking third.

Class 2-C achieved a turnover of 18.88 million, ranking fourth.

Class 3-A achieved a turnover of 15.66 million, ranking fifth...]

Although there are a series of instructions, most important thing for students is ranking, and then rewards and punishments corresponding.

Among them, class evaluation scores of 1st to 4th place will be increased by 300 points.

Class evaluation scores for 5th to 8th place +200 points.

For 9th-10th place, score +100 points.

The last two students will receive a class evaluation score of -300 points.

Hikigaya’s Ryuen class also made the list, and even reached fourth place, which would earn 300 points.

This was good news for Hachiman, who had originally hoped to get a minimum of 200 points in class evaluation.

After all, he can collect 70% of the income of those who score above 500 points in Ryuen’s class.

Therefore, if continues to improve its scores, he can also increase his income.

Especially now that he had exchanged most of his points for cash for his sister to take back, he felt a little poorer.

It can be considered as a little blood recovery.

However, Hikigaya-kun was still aware of this special exam, and he was mainly slacking off.

Therefore, points obtained should be the result of the efforts of Ryuen’s class themselves.

.....Ryuen and others’ lower limit has dropped again.

Although his class used their own students as sacrifices, most people invested 100,000 yen in vouchers each as sales.

But it is unlikely to reach current turnover of 18.88 million.

In other words, threats were used to force some students to consume, and at the same time, students in class were asked to look for familiar faces among the guests.

Once they catch an acquaintance, will directly trick him into spending money.

But there is another method, that is, arrange students to go out and play the victim to attract customers.

Others are hooked by sympathy, but they don’t know that food on menu of Ryuen’s class is not priced.

In other words, this is a black shop!

Quite excessive.

As for this point, according to Mr. Kaneda, it is probably ”Conscience is indeed important, but unfortunately if you don’t have a conscience, you can earn more.”

Now, after abandoning conscience, situation is indeed satisfactory to everyone.

Then Sakayanagi-san.

After rules of this cultural festival were announced, girl said that she would try her best.

It turns out.

Her Class 2-A performed well this time. Also got 300 points.

”Hachiman-kun, it seems that our two classes got same score this time. I’m a little bit looking forward to it. If you are given a chance, will you catch up?”

Looks like she’s doing it with ease.

Apart from Ryuen’s class and Sakayanagi’s own, Ichinose’s also scored 300 points, so Class A should be the most oppressive to them.

But Sakayanagi still ignores her.

It’s just Hikigaya-kun isn’t focusing on this right now, because....

Hachiman-kun.
