COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hachiman didn’t look at Sakayanagi specifically, but he knew that this was because she was in poor health, so her father banned her from participating in any events of sports festival.

So it would be a miracle if you were interested in an activity that you couldn’t even participate in.

”But.” However, Sakayanagi changed the subject, ”Ichinose-san’s class is quite interesting. After their daily self-training, students in my class are free to do whatever they want, but they have recently been in contact with students in hers. I got some interesting news.”

”Interesting news?”

”Yes.” Even though it looked quite big thing, Sakayanagi remained calm, ”I asked Kamuro-san to check the group divisions and registration information for each project.”

It is already the 25th, and there are only one and a half days left until sports festival on 27th.

The registration for the first five mandatory items has closed, but OAA information is not hidden, so now everyone can check their own or other students’ registration information through tablet.

”Dragon Boy did a good job this time. He teamed up with Ichinose-san, although we can only see the registration status of five mandatory events now. However, seeded players of his class completely missed the competition arrangement with Ichinose-san’s.”

”Well....”

”It seems like they are cooperating with each other, neither of them is arranging their own class’s combat power to go over when other can score points. It has achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. But....”

”Your Shamrock shake....”

”Please....So, Hikigaya-kun, I checked the project you signed up for. It’s pretty ordinary, but aren’t you having a lot of fun?”

”Really, I thought it was a lot of trouble especially with Swimming....”

”It was you who came up with the alliance with her class. It seems like a win-win situation, but Ichinose-san’s class will get a higher score than normal. It seems that our A-class can do nothing but suppress her...So, this will destroy the fighting power of my and Ichinose-san’s class. You really acted like a hunter for once.”

As expected of Sakayanagi.

Have seen through Hikigaya’s conspiracy.

It’s just an open conspiracy, which means it cannot be changed even if you know about it.

This is probably reason why Sakayanagi said that she has no interest in this sports festival.

Since you already know the result, there is no need to wait.

”Your soup, sir.”

”Ah...thank you.”

The waiter has brought all the ingredients, including the beef tendon hotpot soup base, so it’s time for him to work.

After all, Kamuro-san is not here now, so he definitely can’t trouble Sakayanagi who is not feeling well to boil some dishes.

However, before blanching meat rolls and slices, you can drink some soup first.

So Hachiman made soup for himself and Sakayanagi, and placed it in front of her.

The aroma of food and the heat make people feel very comfortable.

Um....

”Good. Actually, I am thinking about buying a place here.” Sakayanagi nodded, and looked ready to enjoy the food seriously.

Could it be said girl is really a high-end Princess?

Rather than competing against other classes, it would be better to have a meal with Hikigaya-kun.

Now she is the only one here.

It’s not a coincidence, nor is it because she has a bad relationship with Kamuro-san, but please understand her painstaking efforts, Kamuro-san.

It’s not that she’s eating something delicious without you, but that she has sensed the crisis, so Arisu is increasing her offensive power and advantage.

The information collected from the puppies showed that although Ichinose’s class had teamed up with Ryuen, they were worried that he would turn against them, so she signed a new agreement with Ryuen.

Do not attack each other.

And if Ryuen breaks the agreement, then Ichinose’s class will ask Hikigaya to go to their home.

The points required must be paid by Ryuen’s class.

This is just a punishment for Ryuen breaking an agreement, so as long as it does not violate then it will not work.

’But the fact that something like this was written down shows that Ichinose’s class, or Ichinose-san, wants to take the initiative to attack....’ This is not a good thing for Sakayanagi, who is currently fishing.

So, she had to attack too.

’It will allow Hikigaya-kun to get used to eating with me. This kind of behavior can be considered a date. Ichinose-san can’t do it.’

”…..”

Evenings of 25th, 26th gone, and then it came to 27th.

The sports festival begins.

Last year, when Horikita Manabu was still in school, he arranged for a boy in his class named Fujimaki to be the conductor of sports festival and to announce opening ceremony.

However, rules of the sports festival are different this year, so person who makes the announcement this time is student council president.

”First of all, I’m the student council president of this school.”

”Considering the tight time schedule, I will keep this short.”

”Then, 23rd Advanced Nurturing High School sports festival officially begins.”

President Sakayanagi’s voice came from the loudspeaker. This opening speech was indeed quite brief.

Hachiman stood next to her, looking towards playground and the audience seats outside.

Although this was a sports festival for students, occupancy rate of the auditorium still reached one-third.

Those who sat down ranged from familiar teachers to unfamiliar other grades or other subjects, and then to employees of shopping street.

There is also a medical team wearing white coats ready to respond to emergencies at any time.

Overall, audience seemed to be smaller than last year.

”I think this sports festival is still worth watching. So if you think intense scenes will be in the afternoon, then you are wrong.”

by Hachiman.

Is it just a mistake? Kamuro-san is also here at the podium.

She looked over there.

Then noticed.

Because competition is very tight and there is nothing else to waste time on, all events need to be completed within one day.

That’s not all.

Starting with first-grade boys’ group, each group of eight people will begin the 100-meter race test.

The first-year students look pretty good.

Utomiya Riku from Class C of first grade was far ahead, 5 meters ahead of second place.

You have to know this is only a 100-meter race, and it is already amazing to be ahead by more than 5 meters.

But, Kamuro-san noticed that Hikigaya’s expression didn’t change.

Isn’t this what’s wonderful?

Soon, 78 first-grade boys in total had finished competing in 10 groups.

The order of this year’s competition is that first-grade boys start running and event will end when 3rd-grade girls finish.

After a break, pattern will be reversed, starting with first-year girls and moving on to 3rd-year boys, and then it will end.

It is very compact.

But men and women are separated.

That is to say, boys’ team finishes one event, and then girls’ team starts.

Then reverse it.

Now it is turn of 2nd grade boys’ team to set off.

Everyone took their positions and first group of second grade boys began to prepare.

”Koenji-kun came to Class A early.” Sakayanagi said at this time, from views of a human observer.

Koenji, who was absent from last year’s sports, returned to the field, but now, he did not continue to comb his hair and look at himself in the mirror.

Because there is no time.

The order will be given soon.

”Yes. But one thing is inevitable if Koenji goes to another class.”

Hikigaya-kun looked at the boy with a low presence standing next to Koenji in first group of 100-meter second-year boys.

That’s Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

Without any hint or request, he chose to fight against Koenji on his own.

”...” Sakayanagi noticed that Hachiman’s gaze also focused on the fact that Ayanokoji and Koenji were in same group.

Her cute brows frowned.

’If Hikigaya-kun was not thinking about the conspiracy of Ichinose-san’s class, but was looking forward to seeing the confrontation between Koenji-kun and Ayanokoji-kun. That is to say....Hikigaya-kun was looking forward to those two taking points from each other, competing, and consuming each other’s energy. This, you are still so greedy. What you want is the first place in this sports fest-----’

As she was thinking this, shocked cheers erupted in venue.
