COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

After Hirata-kun finished his narration, he concluded with some satisfaction, ”Horikita-san was very proactive. It was also thanks to her that she took over the command, class was able to come together again.”

”She’s working hard now. I think her goal might be to get top scorer position among our sophomore girls. Because the first place prize is 2 million points or a class transfer voucher, and if she chooses 2 million points, it will just cancel out the bet she made with everyone else. But class has also come together, and can now become a force that cannot be underestimated.”

”Horikita-san has improved a lot compared to when she first entered school. Likewise, you don’t have to tell me that I will support Hikigaya-kun. After all, this is something I can do now.”

Hirata-kun is still so gentle, he talked a lot of good words.

”Next team. Start! Whistle~!”

Horikita Suzune stood at finish line.

She held a stopwatch in her left hand and a small notebook in right, apparently taking notes.

At this time, students from other classes came over and seemed to want to use this area of playground as well.

But....

”This area has been applied for by our class. So if you want to use it, go wait.”

”Huh...what do you mean?”

”That’s what I mean, or if your class can agree to our conditions. Then we can give you some convenience.”

”.....”

Today’s Suzune is also very outrageous.

”This is totally unreasonable!”

”W-why do you occupy such a large playground?”

The students who came to borrow the playground felt that it was unreasonable.

”The student council agreed. Or do you want to say that President Sakayanagi is unfair?”

”Uh...” The questioning student’s expression suddenly tensed.

”By the way, our class will finish using at 5:30. So, you can come back then.” Suzune almost showed these people a way out with a cold look on her face.

”How can we test physical fitness at that time? We will be applying for five projects soon, Horikita Suzune.”

A girl moved forward to look down and bully her but....

”Then we will select students from your class to give up the long jump and double tennis events. If you give up, we can let you use playground for the physical fitness test.”

Grass! O O ? !!

This made students who came to ask questions look pale, and then they turned around and replied to representatives of their own classes with some displeasure.

Hikigaya-kun watched this development.

Suzune’s lethality seems to have grown.

The person being scolded now is also one of the students in Sakayanagi’s class, Morishita Ai-san, whom Hikigaya-kun has met several times.

In other words, Suzune was just scolding students in Class A.

Although Horikita didn’t care who was blocking the way, it was the first time that Hikigaya-kun saw her offensive.

Is this aftereffect of meeting her brother yesterday?

Hachiman suddenly felt that he should have met Horikita-san again after cultural festival last night. ’So, what was Horikita-nii saying again? Wouldn’t her younger sister be able to develop on her own? It’s just that other person has grown up, which makes people feel a little empty inside.....’

”Well that’s Horikita-san for you. Do you need me to call her over?” Hirata-kun stared at Hikigaya’s seemingly absent-minded gaze, and then said in a considerate way.

”No need. Just let her continue to be busy.” So, Hachiman turned around and left.

At the same time, he did not agree with Hirata’s statement that Horikita’s efforts were for 2 million first place prize.

Because, Horikita is not a money-spending kid like Sakayanagi.

Not to mention, she was still working hard to gain points and complete the 20 million task for A-class spot he bought for her.

So there is only one reason why she chooses to stand up and even start working hard.

Her goal might be to get the highest score among second-year girls, but it shouldn’t be for personal points, let alone for Class D.

After all these analyses.

Ah.....

’So, sometimes having too high an EQ is not a good thing.’ Hikigaya-kun has actually been trying hard to think in the wrong direction.

The results of actual analysis were surprising.

It seems that Hikigaya-kun is beginning to feel troubled. ’Because I never thought that there would come a day when I would be swayed by the same style of long black straight hair twice on same day.....

3:30 in afternoon.

Ichinose’s class gave a response.

They are willing to unite with Ryuen’s class, but they need him to sign an agreement not to betray them.

Um.

This is like once bitten by a snake, one becomes afraid of ropes for ten years.

Somewhat surprisingly, Ryuen also received an interview request from Class D.

”Horikita’s class hopes that we won’t participate in some events with each other.” Ryuen gave insight.

In fact, it was Horikita’s class, represented, who hoped that Ryuen would give up participating in the girls’ long jump, 800-meter, and tennis doubles events.

Similarly, their class will give up participating in 3 events designated by Ryuen at the request of hsi own class.

Hikigaya and his classmates teamed up with Ichinose’s to confirm each other’s events and matches, so as to avoid facing strong players.

Now, Horikita-san has also joined in.

This was a request that Ryuen couldn’t completely refuse.

After all, there are some students in his class who are not outstanding enough.

They can be allowed to participate in the project, but there is no guarantee will be in the top three.

Failure to get would be a waste of registration fees and physical energy.

Therefore, they are in a situation where they need to consider whether to let them attack.

And now, if he can unite with Ichinose, and then work with Horikita’s to avoid the edge or even let them not participate in some events, then he can indeed get points.

That’s why Ryuen also needs to be considered.

But for Hachiman.

Suzune has learned how to make smooth deals without spending any money.

That is to say.

Horikita-san really stood up this time.

Perhaps because they have been promoted to second grade, most of the students have experience in dealing with it, and freshmen are participating in school’s sports festival for the first time.

But it may also be because you are a newbie, so became more serious.

In other words, new people are taking it seriously and making good use of the time specially set aside by school in afternoon to train themselves.

It’s just a little surprising that students from Grade 3 Class A are rarely seen on the playground, but students from Grade 3 Class C and Class D can often be seen training themselves.

”I’m sorry, Hikigaya-kun. I, I always bother you.”

Hachiman stood aside with a small notebook in his left hand, and lying on the grass next to him was a girl who had just finished running 800 meters.

The other person had big pink and purple twin ponytails, wore glasses, and looked very inconspicuous.

But this is Sakura Airi-san.

Last year, her sports skills were very poor, but with the training from Kamuro-san, she has improved.

However, she has recently encountered a bottleneck and can no longer increase her speed.

But still want to give it a try.

Hikigaya-kun will of course provide assistance to those who want to try their best.

People say that serious boys are handsome, but in fact, hard-working girls are also very attractive.

What’s more, Sakura is the type of person who looks like a super beautiful girl when she takes off her glasses.

”No, Sakura-san actually helped me and a lot of people.”

This is not nonsense.

Last year, when Hachiman was still in the same class, Sakura’s intuition and camera helped a lot, and she even lent a hand to them during cultural festival that just ended not long ago.

It’s a pity that she is not confident enough.

”But these past few days, Hikigaya-kun has been assisting me. Getting up so early.”

Sakura Airi seemed to have some guilty conscience.

Yes.....Because their training time was not in the afternoon as specially designated by school, but in morning.

Specifically, it is between 5 and 6 o’clock.

Need to get up early every day.

”It’s okay to get up early. Sometimes I have to go to and use the loo at four or five o’clock... so I’m used to it. Yeah, it’s nothing, don’t take it to heart.”

Hikigaya-kun quickly broke her handle, ”So, Sakura, do you feel uneasy about this sports festival?”

Although Sakura looks cute, she tries to hide it and her presence is not strong usually, but her intuition is very.

Therefore, as vice president of this school, he should make some contribution to this sports festival that concerns all students.

Look, Sakura really showed her ability.

”Sports Festival... I think this year’s will be pretty good. It’s not like last year, where if you ranked in bottom ten you would have to take the written test and lose points.”

Um. This is true.

In this sports festival, even plus size boys and girls like Sotomura, Ichinose, Sakura can contribute 10 points to the class.

No wonder, Haruka doesn’t look that depressed.
