COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

The student council president’s statement that she understands everyone has to attend sports festival and practice, and that it is too much to keep everyone in office to work after school in the afternoon, is mostly just an excuse.

”…..” Kamuro-san.

Having stayed with Sakayanagi for more than a year, Kamuro-san feels that she has figured out her master’s personality.

”I didn’t feel anything unusual. During the lunch break, I specially delivered tea back and forth three times, and I didn’t find that Hikigaya and Yukinoshita did anything inappropriate. It seems that he wanted to push two files to Yukinoshita, but she gave him cold shoulder.”

In other words, this is a fairly clean relationship between colleagues.

Um....

Sakayanagi’s office is in a small room, so she cannot see outside.

Then Kamuro-san will have to go in and out to investigate. She concluded that two are innocent.

”So what’s the relationship between Hikigaya-kun and Yukinoshita’s sister? Yesterday I met her, and she stayed in the school on purpose to have a private chat with him.”

”This is even simpler. Because Yukinoshita’s sister seems to be worried about the same thing.”

’Is that so? Because it is money that has already been obtained, and then asking him to take it out would become very painful. So, we can confirm that Hikigaya-kun can stick to his bottom line.....Looking at it this way, what did I do today? Just like a love-brained person, I am always worried about whether it will be a success or a failure. However, as a genius, I have the upper hand even in love! That’s right, I am Sakayanagi Arisu~~the most suitable one for Hikigaya-kun, who knows how to weigh things. So his final destination can only be to be with me!~~’

”Fufu....” Sakayanagi seems to have regained her confidence, ”So you asked him these questions directly?”

But she seemed a little surprised.

”Because that person can only speak directly, right?” However, Kamuro-san wanted to squash her thoughts as soon as possible, before it turned public outrage, ”If you beat around the bush, you will only suffer. So if you want to know the answer, just ask him directly.”

So, Kamuro-san is disgusted by the rumors about Ichinose in past, and the fact that Sakayanagi did not play a straightforward game but arranged for her to go find Hikigaya, and was eventually caught by the other party.

The speaker may not mean it, but the listener may take it seriously.

”.....” Sakayanagi Arisu. ’Is that so? Hikigaya-kun is the kind of person who can be defeated with a straight shot. Could it be that I have been working in the wrong direction?’

For the first time, Sakayanagi began to doubt whether her actions were effective.

Because, now it was the sports festival, and she thought back to last year’s, when she offered him 20 million to turn him over.

Generally speaking, this can be understood as a confession.

But the other party rejected her without hesitation.

She thought her first love was rejected.

But now it seems that’s not the case. It’s that she didn’t play a straight ball to Hikigaya-kun.

So what will happen if she hits the ball straight?

”O...O” Sakayanagi then looked at Kamuro-san with big violet eyes, which made her feel a little scared, but then Arisu suddenly realized that her dog was quite smart.

”What a chance meeting, President Sakayanagi and Kamuro-san!~!”

At this time, some students came back from cafeteria and came to 3rd grade teaching building.

This is a girl with beautiful long orange hair and a sunflower hairpin.

It’s still a little awkward when she walk, but there’s nothing girl can do about it since Asahina sprained her ankle a while ago.

”.....” Sakayanagi’s eyes quickly turned her attention to other party’s slow walking, even though you have big legs, are you bullying her?

”💢” Red lines could be seen forming on her forehead.

Kamuro-san also raised her head.

Although she is Sakayanagi’s dog, to outsiders, she is also a cadre in the student council, doing miscellaneous work.

Although senior from Class A in 3rd year who appeared before her is also a member of Student Council, she is just a member of Discipline Committee like Karuizawa.

It cost 1 million.

Asahina is the only student in council who spends money. She pales in comparison to Kamuro-san.

It made her appear arrogant.

”Hello. Asahina-san. But if you want to get a shortcut to this sports festival from me, then there is none. I might have interfered in affairs of seniors in the past, but unfortunately, I am now Student council president, so I need to be careful about what I say and do.”

Saying so, President Sakayanagi held on to her cane and continued forward.

Asahina was left staring at her cute little back.

”….”

She felt a little weird after being suddenly lectured by President Sakayanagi.

But there was no dissatisfaction on Asahina’s face, because President Sakayanagi thinks her class is in trouble.

Regarding the rules of this sports festival, indeed, as soon as came out, class with the smallest number of students in 3rd grade, the one who took first move already lost first.

But there is also a student named Kiryuin in her class.

She is the only student in 3rd grade whose athletic, academic ability, and intelligence are all rated A+ in OAA system.

Therefore, she will definitely win the first place in 10 events she registered for.

Then total points you can get are 5 (each person’s basic points) + 5 (bonus points for 5 items) + 5X5 (first place in all 5 items) - 5 (registering for the sixth to tenth items) + 5X5 = 55 points.

Directly pulled back to 55 points.

This is considering that all of them done by her alone. If she participated in group projects with classmates, she could also help others get more points.

So, even though you will lose if you go first, you can still tie game.

Then, in this sports festival, Kiryuin offered Class 3-D an offer they couldn’t refuse.

Therefore, with cooperation, Class A would still be safe.

So, Asahina actually wasn’t having any trouble with her class’s sports festival.

But, President Sakayanagi thinks so.

Then Hikigaya-kun would also think that Class 3-A is having a hard time.

’So, can I ask Hikigaya-kun for help a few more times?’ Asahina felt that she was lucky to have met President Sakayanagi today.

In Student Council, students began to get busy.

Among them, first one to complete her work was Amasawa.

It can be said that she is worthy of being chosen by President Sakayanagi.

”Then I’ll go back to the classroom and rest.”

”Okay.” Vice President Hikigaya-kun nodded. It is reasonable for efficient people to be given preferential treatment.

Hachiman had no reason to stop the other party.

After getting her reply, Ichika took her water bottle and left directly, looking very free and decisive.

But Hikigaya-kun knows.

The more decisively she walked, the more it meant that she was showing her estrangement from him.

So, she will come to his dormitory tonight.

Especially the message Amasawa sent yesterday saying that she could get 30% of cultural festival income from her homeroom teacher today, and that she would come with a point card for the new income.

So to speak....Hikigaya-kun is also in a difficult situation. ’I always feel that if I don’t resist, my future life will be happy. But this seems a bit unfair to Ichinose and Kushida. So, I can only freeze for now....Only if....’

After a while.

”Then I’ll go back first too.” In fact, Katsuragi’s efficiency is not that high, but he is concerned about sports festival this time, so he comes to council to work during morning break.

That’s why he can do it so fast now.

”Okay. You can go too.” Hikigaya-kun nodded, just looking at these people going away one after another.

It feels like you are getting his permission first.

So, only people left working now are Hikigaya-kun and Secretary Yukinoshita who is assigned to the same group with him.

The two of them are doing their respective jobs, with Yukino a bit absent minded, it made her work slowly than her usual pace.

Even though she was told earlier by Sakayanagi to go and rest.

After being rejected when he tried to push the work to Yukino, Hikigaya also started to do the work honestly.

As the lunch break was about to end, Hikigaya-kun breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Yukinoshita was still busy.

While Hikigaya-kun was considering whether to share burden with her, she also completed her work.

”Then afternoon is free time. You don’t need to come to the student council anymore. Your teacher should have told you that all afternoon classes until 27th will be physical education classes. Students are allowed to train freely.”

”So, Yukinoshita, you...”

Hachiman actually discovered that girl showed considerable talent and ability.

Even learning things is fast. But her weakness is that she has no endurance.

This is the opposite of Hikigaya-kun.

”Just do your best in this sports festival,” Although it might be a bit cruel to ask someone without physical fitness to participate in all the events, as one of the leaders of Class A, Yukinoshita can only try her best.

”Right...yeah.” Yukino nodded, with a little bit of difficulty matching his eyes.

In morning, she got laughed at by Ishigami in revenge, that really destroyed her mood and became sullen.

So, two of them took their things, and Hachiman was responsible for locking door of the student council.

”Um...” Yukinoshita didn’t leave, but waited for Hachiman to finish, ”I’m sorry about what happened with my sister yesterday. I’m sorry for causing you trouble.”

”Yesterday...”

’In fact, your sister stayed here and gave me 20 million for free. How could such a good sister possibly cause trouble to me?’ But there is no need for Hachiman to say such things to Yukinoshita.
