COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Because Yukino had no idea that her sister was still there, and she had no idea that her sister was even more of a sister-con than she thought.

”Then I’ll see you tomorrow at noon.” Hikigaya-kun said to her, and he seemed to be waving goodbye.

”Hikigaya. Um...senpai, can this waving goodbye behavior be considered as friendship?”

Huh?

Hikigaya-kun was a little surprised. ’Is it because Yukinoshita herself has become soft? According to Miss Haruno, isn’t her sister’s heart like ice? Is it starting to melt now?’

”Your sister will definitely feel relieved knowing you have a friend here.”

It seems that sister’s words are the switch to deal with Yukinoshita Yukino.

Under Hachiman’s gaze, she raised her hand subconsciously, but then put it down.

Then lifted it up again somewhat unnaturally.

Swung it at him twice.

”...”

Yukinoshita Yukino is a lonely person.

She has no friends, so even a simple farewell between friends like this feels so unfamiliar to her.

”See you tomorrow at noon, Yukinoshita.”

Then Hikigaya-kun waved to her like a friend, and walked straight ahead.

He had seen Horikita soften, discovered Yukinoshita’s weak side towards her sister, and even saw her waving awkwardly at him.

But as he strode forward, Hikigaya felt... ’It’s really poison. Or rather, this is really too much, Miss Yukinoshita Haruno!’

Because there was only a week left until sports festival and time was tight, school made concessions and gave the students afternoon time for free training.

One of the things Hachiman had to deal with during lunch break was issuing permission documents for the class that had applied for training venue and equipment.

Once you have obtained the permit, you can ask the staff for relevant equipment.

Avoid unnecessary disputes.

After homeroom teacher finished explaining rules of the sports festival in the morning, all events that would appear in this sports festival appeared on everyone’s tablets.

There are more than a dozen events that a single person can participate in, from the 100-meter race, 110-meter hurdles, 200-meter race, 800/1000-meter long-distance running, which were the required events in last sports, to swimming, shot put, javelin, long jump, standing long jump, etc.

There are also more than a dozen group battles, some of which are the two-person three-legged race, horseback fighting, borrowed object race, double team tennis, multi-person volleyball, multi-person basketball, double badminton, etc.

Very rich.

However, there are some projects that you don’t usually participate in or come into contact with, so once you choose one, you must be familiar with the rules.

The button for the applied project is still gray, just like Finger print display, it won’t light up until time comes to grab it.

Although free applications will be open at 6 o’clock in evening.

But since all the students are applying, good programs may be snapped up in no time.

For all the students, falling behind even slightly could mean losing in this sports festival.

Even with this awareness, only a small number of classes will rush to apply for equipment and borrowed training venues, while some will not.

Even now during lunch break, some classes have reacted.

But unfortunately, because of President Sakayanagi’s order, the Student Council will not be working in the afternoon, so other classes will have to wait until tomorrow to apply for venues and equipment.

In other words, time is money.

As for Class C, second grade where Hikigaya is.

Um....As a member of Class 2-C, Hikigaya naturally applied for his own class.

Hehe~

But now no one goes to training or free activities.

It’s like just occupying a position and doing nothing.

The most important thing for Ryuen’s class is tactics.

The students in his class have one characteristic: they will obey orders of the commander.

Although there are occasional troublemakers, they have all been dealt with by Ryuen.

As for the issue of class transfer tickets, which may cause disputes.

Ryuen-san also started getting vaccinations.

”This time transfer voucher is only valid for half a year. You will be transferred back when their time expires.”

No one made even a chew sound while he was speaking.

”Being able to obtain class transfer certificate means that you have the ability to crush other students in the same grade. As for boys, we chose to give up because we can’t beat Koenji.”

Although he did not come in the morning, Ryuen walked out of the room after Ishizaki Daichi informed him of rules of the sports festival.

There was gauze on his face, but at least it looked decent.

It looked like a tough fight.

Ryuen pointed out that boys don’t need to worry about transferring to another class.

Many boys immediately lowered their heads, because this was a sad fact.

Who can defeat the savages like those?

”.....” Hikigaya-kun just sat in his seat obediently.

Ryuen is also exploiting the class, and it accounts for 20%.

So, of course he has to contribute.

Hikigaya-kun is not good at training classmates, so naturally he can only entrust Ryuen to do it.

For Hikigaya, Koenji has always been a useful trump card.

At the same time, before transferring to another class, Koenji and Hikigaya hinted at whether he was welcome to come to their place.

At that time, Hachiman refused.

On the one hand, he treated Ryuen’s class as his own cash machine class to maximize profits.

Therefore, once Koenji comes, Ryuen will get the lowest quota, so if they squeeze them further, something bad will happen, so they can only give up part of the profit from Hachiman....

However, Mr. Hikigaya has exchanged most of his points for cash, and now he only has a mere 20 or less than 30 million points left.

These are disturbing numbers.

However, the profits created after the introduction of Koenji are not cost-effective compared to profits paid out.

Therefore, Hikigaya-kun sternly rejected Koenji’s request to come here.

Of course, this also means that Ryuen’s class has lost a trump card.

But that’s not entirely true.

Because if Koenji went to Sakayanagi’s class, then she could make up for defect that her class did not have someone with absolute max physical fitness.

Therefore, the score of Sakayanagi’s class can continue to rise.

For Hikigaya, who treated Ryuen’s class as an ATM and felt that Sakayanagi’s class was not strong, this can be considered as a relief.

”Because of the presence of sports experts like Koenji, Sudo, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, and Shibata, the boys in our class will not be able to transfer to other classes.” Ryuen continued

”As for the girls, Kinoshita, Ibuki, and Shiina, you can try your best.”

Atmosphere seemed to be very dark here in Class 2-C.

”There are no second-year girls who are good at hanging walls.” Ryuen seemed to slow down his tone, ”So if you work hard, you may be able to get a transfer ticket.”

”It’s just that you are the backbone of our class’s female sports. If you use the transfer coupon to go to another class, it will be a loss to us first. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t benefits.”

”That means we can hold back the upper-ranked classes. For example, Sakayanagi.”

”They already have 2200 points, while we only have 1500. If we still have ambitions to challenge Class A, we must definitely pull them down.”

”One of the ways is to go to their class and hinder their performance.”

”But...But Ryuen-san.” Kaneda, who was not injured in the incident with Yagami, said, ”If I go to other classes and hold them back, what if I become victim of withdrawal exam for their class?”

He is one of the few people in Ryuen’s class who has a good brain.

At the same time, also quite willing to sacrifice themselves.

”We have already encountered two consecutive exams where classmates voted to drop out. We are not sure if it will happen a third time. Students who drop out can bring extra points to our class... So if the athletes from ours go to President Sakayanagi’s, and then are used as sacrifices by her to get points for those who choose to drop out, it would be a big loss. Right, Kinoshita-san.”

Boom! It’s so intense.

Then everyone’s eyes turned to Kinoshita, who got blamed by Kaneda out in public on purpose.

Kinoshita is a member of the track and field team.

She was also on school team when she was in junior high school. Last year, she cooperated with Ryuen to frame Horikita Suzune, but she has a solid foundation.

If you sign up for running-related events seriously, you can be sure that you can get first place if you don’t get hung up on the wall.

In other words, if they work hard, they may be able to get transfer paper from girls.

....Ah?

Now Kinoshita also realized that the students around her were looking at her.

Ryuen walked directly in front of her and looked down at her.

”Kinoshita, what’s your choice?”

Although Ryuen looks badly injured now, having been hit in the face in a fight, he looks even more terrifying at this moment.

You can almost hear his voice directly in your ears.

”I, I understand.” Kinoshita directly gave in before she even could register what just happened, ”I will sign up for whatever event you tell me to sign up for, and I will get the highest rank I want.”

Because she was far ahead of the girls in terms of physical fitness and experience, and she was stopped by students from other classes during lunch, they offered her 500,000 points in the hope that she would cheat.

Obviously, this is recognition and concern for her strength.

This also indirectly shows that other classes are concerned about her ability.

It confirmed to her that she could become dazzling this time.

Then.... Kinoshita had thoughts that she shouldn’t have.

What if she can get the transfer ticket based on her own ability?

But it would not be a good thing if getting first place in the girls’ category not only caused a breakup with original class, but also caused where President Sakayanagi was and was considered a candidate for expulsion.

It’s a big loss.

So, it’s better to stay in current class.

Kinoshita came back online.

”But the transfer certificate doesn’t say that I have to go to Sakayanagi Arisu’s class, right? Isn’t it okay to go to Ichinose’s? Will joining her class be considered as preparation for dropping out?”

At this time, another unexpected person spoke.

This is Ibuki, the student whose brain is not very good, ”If I get first place and get the transfer ticket, I would like to go to Ichinose’s class to experience it for myself.”

”.....” Ryuen.
