Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 792: 491. Strange Nighttime Situation (4600 Words)_3

Arriving at her tree house, she began to recount the events of this morning.

It turns out that in her tree house, someone had gotten up early and then walked to the window to take a glance at the already risen sun outside.

The outcome was predictable.

The person’s scream woke up most of the others in the room, and then someone else, out of habit, looked out the window upon waking up, facing the sunny side, and got injured as well.

Some even shouted while in pain, ”Outside...! The sun...!”

Out of curiosity, more people looked outside, ”What’s wrong with the sun... Ah!”

By the time everyone more or less figured out the situation, six people’s eyes had been hurt by the sunlight.

The most severely injured person had blood oozing out from their eyes even when tightly shut.

Wen Guixin rushed over after hearing the screams to understand the situation and then administered pills to treat them.

After handling the situation, she immediately planned to contact others, only to find no one could be reached.

Unlike Xu Xin’s side, where people were basically adjacent, their tree houses were far apart.

Too far away, they couldn’t contact each other at all!

So, Wen Guixin instructed these people to stay obediently inside the tree house, not to look outside anymore, then hurriedly ran down to try if the Teleportation Array was usable.

At that moment, she happened to see Xu Xin teleport over.

Xu Xin nodded.

This was basically what he imagined.

In a situation where contact with the outside is cut off, someone must make mistakes to understand the current situation.

The price paid by Wen Guixin’s side was considerable, but fortunately, the pills could heal the injuries.

With so many people, if there was only one person...

They would have to make mistakes themselves.

The other survivors in this world are probably now wailing in deep distress...

”That’s the situation...” Xu Xin also briefly explained the current situation to her.

”The sunlight today actually...” Wen Guixin muttered to herself.

”So, you’d better not go outside.” Xu Xin pointed to the area outside the shadow of the tree house canopy, ”Otherwise, your skin might get instantly sunburned.”

”No wonder you wrapped yourself like that,” Wen Guixin understood the situation and sighed, ”It must be hard for you, wearing so much must be very hot, I was outside for just a few seconds, and it was unbearably hot, and you’re wrapped so tightly...”

”I have a random boost for high-temperature endurance today, I’m not hot.” He explained briefly.

”Random boost? Hmm, that sounds convenient.” Wen Guixin wasn’t quite interested in the random boost, as it had nothing to do with her, ”I understand the situation, I didn’t sense anything last night. I’ll go ask if those people noticed anything unusual last night.”

She went downstairs and quickly came back up.

”How was it?” Xu Xin asked.

Wen Guixin shook her head, ”They all slept well last night, no one noticed anything unusual.”

Which is understandable.

Without Wen Guixin’s permission, these people couldn’t leave the tree house.

In such hot weather, even if they were awake, they wouldn’t idly open the windows.

So even if there was high temperature last night, these people wouldn’t have noticed.

Just like the survivors staying in Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang’s tree houses, they didn’t notice anything.

Saying goodbye to Wen Guixin, Xu Xin immediately rushed to the next tree house.

Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu were currently staying at Zhao Xiaochuan and Wang Lei’s tree houses respectively, so he quickly visited both tree houses to understand the situation.

The situation was basically the same; both tree houses had experienced chaos but had stabilized now.

Unfortunately, the same situation existed there as well; no one noticed anything unusual last night.

”Could you be mistaken, Brother Xin?” Wang Lei scratched his head and said, ”How could it suddenly get so hot at night? There wasn’t even sunlight.”

Xu Xin frowned deeply.

...For now, only Li Yajun’s side of the situation might indicate something unusual happened last night.

”In any case, don’t go outside today, just stay in the tree house.”

”Got it, Brother Xin. I’ve been thinking of taking a break myself.” Wang Lei agreed, ”It’s just feels unsettling not being able to contact the outside.”

Like losing phone signals and internet, anyone would panic.

Returning to Li Wenxi’s tree house, picking up the two, and returning to his own tree house.

Then he contacted Ji Chaoyang and informed him of the current situation.

”...As for the anomaly last night, I’m not sure, but it’s indeed a major suspicion. We’ll find out what happened at night, tonight.”

Xu Xin thought the same.

No sleep tonight.

Tonight, he would see if any anomalies would indeed occur.
