Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 772: Chapter 485: Gold Level! (4400 words)

In the end, he decided to start by selecting small pieces for decomposition.

The explosion had blasted open half of the giant troll’s upper body, leaving quite a few relatively small parts.

For example, the giant troll’s ribs were blown into many sections, piece by piece.

Xu Xin picked a piece, pulled it out, and threw it to the ground.

Ribs, in simpler terms, are like spare ribs.

This gigantic spare rib with bone and flesh was truly large; Xu Xin wielded his newly made meteorite boning knife and began to slice.

The meteorite boning knife felt a whole level better than the stone boning knife. The extremely sharp edge glided through the material, as if slicing gently through water, with almost no resistance felt.

Soon, he had completely decomposed the entire rib.

[Obtained Mutated Giant Fragmented Skin (Purple) *1, Mutated Giant Meat (Purple) *120kg, Mutated Giant Bone Chunk (Purple) *1]

”How is it? Did you decompose any good stuff?” Li Wenxi asked curiously upon seeing this.

”Yeah, the stuff’s good; at the very least, it’s all purple-grade,” Xu Xin replied, a bit surprised.

Could it be that the materials obtained from slicing the giant troll’s body are all at least purple-grade?

He picked up the mutated giant meat.

[Mutated Giant Meat (Purple): Meat from a high-level mutated creature. Even after losing life, the meat still contains extremely powerful mutation factors. While delicious for ordinary creatures, it is a deadly poison.

Blood Pattern Mutated Creatures can consume this to enhance their mutation strength. The lower the mutation level, the more evident the effect.]

Ha!

This thing is precisely one of the resources he most needs right now!

Among his contractors, only Lou Fei’Er is at the intermediate mutation level so far.

These days, he has been giving them daily doses of spiritual potions, forcibly enhancing their spiritual power so that they can operate normally under the pressure of high-level mutated creatures.

Zeng Tao’s performance was a testament to this. Even when facing the high-level mutated Blood Pattern Giant, she only showed slight fear before it arrived and was rather brave during the battle against it.

Even so, Xu Xin believed that raising their mutation levels was the most practical solution.

With higher levels, they naturally wouldn’t be suppressed, and could even directly suppress other mutated creatures with their level!

In the dungeon warehouse of the underground world, he had acquired a purple-grade mutated creature potion stored in a gold-grade glass reagent bottle, suitable for consumption by creatures at the intermediate mutation level. However, besides Lou Fei’Er, Mimi, and the Silver King, his other contractors still had not reached the intermediate mutation level.

He had even forgotten about the mutated creature potion because of this.

But now, things are different.

With this meat, which has ”stronger effects the lower the level,” he can completely elevate the others’ levels to intermediate quickly!

Then, continue to enhance with [Mutated Creature Potion]!

Right!

Blood!

The blood of high-level mutated creatures must also be collected!

Long Yin had mentioned that his mutated creature contract was made using materials obtained from high-level mutated creatures, especially the blood!

”Wenxi, go pick a few people to come and help me.”

Because his fortune was amplified today, it was more appropriate for him to handle the decomposition alone for now.

The purple-grade meteorite boning knife worked effortlessly; even by himself, he decomposed very quickly.

But the sorting and processing of materials should be left to others.

He focused solely on decomposition.

”Alright!” Li Wenxi ran to the first and second floors, picked two men and two women, and together with her, they started to get busy.

Quickly, Xu Xin decomposed most of the small chunks of flesh and blood.

His decomposition speed was indeed fast; his arms moved at lightning speed, slicing piece by piece, while the others struggled to keep up with his decomposition speed.

However, there were no scales or similar items on the giant troll, so what they obtained was mainly skin, bones, and meat, and as he had speculated earlier, all were purple-grade.

”Ah, there’s gold!”

Upon decomposing another small chunk of flesh and blood, a flash of gold light happened before his eyes.

It was [Mutated Giant Fragmented Skin (Gold)]!

He had obtained the first piece, a gold-grade skin!

”Gold? What gold?” Li Wenxi immediately looked over, eyes wide, ”Did you really decompose gold-grade material?”

The few people around handling the materials also suddenly looked up.

They, none of them, had even heard of the gold-grade level!

”Golden...beast skin!”

Xu Xin couldn’t help but smile.

This is truly a good thing!

Golden skin has so many uses!

Like a backpack, for instance.

A purple-grade backpack is one-fiftieth the weight; what about gold-grade?

Take Zhao Xiaochuan’s [Cloak of Concealment], for example, which was made using a piece of beast skin.

What would a gold-grade Cloak of Concealment do?

He took a deep breath, temporarily putting the gold-grade beast skin aside, and continued with the decomposition and slicing.

The others also got more excited and motivated because of the appearance of gold-grade materials.

However, even after decomposing all the fragments, he didn’t obtain a second piece of gold-grade resource.

”...The probability is really low.”

You must know, he had fortune amplification at that moment!

Judging by the previous situation, fortune amplification should greatly enhance the probability of obtaining high-level resources!

If someone else were to decompose, they might not even see the shadow of a gold-grade resource.

However, being able to ensure all resources are purple-grade is already very good.

The others present all wore smiles on their faces.
