Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 778: Chapter 487: The Lake with Significantly Lower Water Levels (4600 words)

The giant troll just now was transformed from a hill.

According to Qin Fu’s description, just as he was about to leave the Hilly Resource Zone, on the edge, a small hill over ten meters high suddenly started to shake!

Then the mountain began to move, and next, a huge head lifted up from the ground!

”Wait, wait, what do you mean?” Zeng Tao looked confused and puzzled, ”The head lifted up from the ground? How?”

”The low small hill at the edge was actually this giant troll’s back.” Qin Fu thought about the scene at that time and smiled bitterly, ”This giant troll was actually bowing toward the center of the Hilly Resource Zone, like a kneeling figure worshiping at the altar.”

”The real hill is only the top of that small portion of the hill on its back, and the Blood Pattern Giant seems to be pressed under the mountain.”

”I was right in front of it at that time. When it stood up, the half of the hill behind it turned into rubble and dust, scattered on the ground. And when it stood up, it held a Wolf Fang Club from who knows where, staring dead at me.”

”You guys know what happened afterward.”

Qin Fu finished explaining his experience simply and quickly, then leaned against the bedhead and closed his eyes.

Talking so much made him even more exhausted in his already weakened state.

He needed to continue resting.

Xu Xin did not continue to disturb him and walked out of the side room, pulling out Zeng Tao, who still wanted to ask for more details.

”Hey hey!” Zeng Tao, now weakened and particularly lightweight, was easily pulled out by Xu Xin.

”Why not let me ask him a bit more!” Zeng Tao said with some dissatisfaction, ”His consciousness is that the giant troll disguised as a hill? What he said is really unbelievable, isn’t it?”

”He needs to rest now.” Xu Xin shook her head, ”His thoughts are not clear now, the description was too general, the detailed matters should wait until he recovers some more.”

”Alright...” Zeng Tao unwillingly glanced at the already closed side room door, then looked out the window, ”If I weren’t weak as well, I would go to the Hilly Resource Zone to check it out now!”

For Zeng Tao, this thing was indeed somewhat unbelievable.

But for Xu Xin, it was different.

He still remembered that during the rainy season, in the northwest direction from his treehouse, the originally existing hills disappeared entirely.

He later asked Li Wenxi about this because there were quite a few hills on Li Wenxi’s side, visible from the treehouse.

”Of course, they were visible. The water at that time was only about five or six meters deep, how could it possibly bury those hills?”

This was Li Wenxi’s reply at the time.

Back then, he knew those hills were alive!

They could disappear under the thunderstorm during the rainy season, so they must be alive!

Now, Qin Fu’s experience made him even more certain of this idea.

It seems...

Could the hills surrounding the Hilly Resource Zone all be similar to this giant troll?!

...Could it be?

During his exploration of the giant guarding this world’s head, he had explored in the cave inside the series of hills, where there was an underground river.

Wait...

Qin Fu just said that the troll was bowing towards something at the center of the Hilly Resource Zone.

If these hills are similar crouching trolls, then inside the hills, there might truly be a passage like a cave.

...Could there be a giant troll under each of those hills?

That would be too outrageous...

Xu Xin immediately made a voice call to Lou Fei’Er: ”Go to the northwest direction of the Hilly Resource Zone, and see if there is anything abnormal there, be careful, only explore the periphery, do not go deep.”

”Is it the direction the troll came from? Got it.” Lou Fei’Er immediately prepared to depart.

”Try to be quick and return before night. The first night of the scorching heat is not necessarily safe.”

It was already past six o’clock, yet it was still bright outside.

The daylight had lengthened considerably within a day, making Xu Xin feel like this day was passing very slowly.

Hilly Resource Zone...

And this bronze short dagger ”Secret Key.”

He must find out what’s going on.

He sighed and looked towards Zeng Tao, who had sat back on the sofa, poking at Keke.

Seeing him look over, Zeng Tao immediately raised her head and said, ”I’ll live here today, you’ve got plenty of people downstairs, right? I wouldn’t make a difference, would I?”

In her current state, Xu Xin certainly couldn’t let her return to her own treehouse.

Given her small low treehouse, if there were any dangers tonight, it would be courting death.

”Why not stay with Lou Fei’Er, she can take care of you.” Xu Xin suggested.

”No way!” Zeng Tao refused outright, ”I won’t stay there with her!”

She had an expression of gritted teeth: ”If I wasn’t weak now, it’d be fine, but with my current state, she’ll definitely do all sorts of things to bully me! It was like that last time! I’m staying here!”

All sorts of things? What things?

Xu Xin laughed: ”Alright, but you can only stay upstairs.”

”I know, you and Li Wenxi are doing shameful things up there, right?” Zeng Tao stuck her tongue out at him, ”Careful you don’t wear yourself out!”
