Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 753: Chapter 478 ...No way? (4500 words)_3

Moreover, Xu Xin didn’t think the enemy would fail to find them simply because the jungle was dense.

Your location has probably long been discovered and pinpointed.

So, in fact, the lush jungle is more of a disadvantage than an advantage for them.

But he didn’t say it out loud.

Let’s take it easy for today.

Xu Xin also got up and went to the window to look outside.

Outside the window, purple-black light beams still shot up, and arches spanned the sky.

”Ying? Ying!” Keke leaned on the windowsill to look outside and suddenly called out.

”Ying ying!” It pointed outside with its little paws and called twice.

”What’s wrong, Keke?” Xu Xin looked outside.

Keke’s tone didn’t suggest danger, so he wasn’t nervous.

”Ying!”

”Hey! Look at those snow peaks!” Li Wenxi also noticed a clue and exclaimed in surprise, immediately pointing to the snow peaks standing far away, which hadn’t been activated.

These snow peaks...

”Aren’t they... a lot shorter?” Li Wenxi shielded her eyes from the sun to look closely, ”They’re definitely shorter! They were much taller before!”

The snow peaks are getting shorter!

Or more precisely, these snow peaks are slowly sinking!

Sure enough, after observing for a while longer, the two confirmed that the snow peaks indeed were sinking at a slow pace.

”At this rate, within an hour, the snow peaks might sink completely underground.”

”Haha, thankfully we unlocked quite a few.” Li Wenxi laughed.

Then, she expressed with some disappointment, ”But, I didn’t make it onto the leaderboard this time and didn’t get the reward.”

”Ah...” Xu Xin was slightly taken aback.

Right...

Yesterday, she should have gone to climb the snow peaks via shortcuts.

Even though using shortcuts to climb snow peaks wouldn’t grant access to the Transmission Array, it would allow one to claim the reward.

Now that I think about it, it would have been better for Lou Fei’Er to claim the reward, but what a waste for Zeng Tao to get it.

Zeng Tao’s tree house is just a low little tree house!

Such a waste...

”It’s fine, it’s just a temperature regulation ability.” Xu Xin comforted, ”If something really happens, you can always stay here in my place, it’s quite spacious.”

”Hmm, you’re right.” Li Wenxi nodded, not caring much anymore.

After all, she’s been basically staying over at Xu Xin’s place every night.

Her tree house is almost turning into a metal smelting workshop!

It’s still early and most people are probably not awake yet. The two sat on the sofa, enjoying the peaceful moment.

”Hmm...” After about ten minutes, Li Wenxi sat up, furrowing her brows slightly, ”Do you feel hot...?”

Hot?

”You’ve probably been in the winter season too long and forgotten the jungle’s actual temperature, haven’t you?” Xu Xin smiled, ”Remember the first phase, the temperature back then needed saltpeter to cool it down comfortably.”

The tree house upgrade isn’t complete yet, so the temperature inside can still be affected by the environment.

The temperature indoors had gradually risen to nearly thirty degrees.

Though compared to the previous temperatures of over 35 degrees, sometimes nearing 40 degrees at noon, it’s still relatively cool now.

”Oh, right.” Li Wenxi also realized, feeling a bit embarrassed, ”I completely forgot it was always so cold.”

”But yesterday we were still using the fireplace, and today we have to use saltpeter to cool down.” Li Wenxi sighed.

Outside the window, the green shoots in the jungle were growing rapidly, and within just a few tens of minutes, a tender green scene emerged.

A map flashed in Xu Xin’s mind.

Is Qin Fu still inside the Hilly Resource Zone?

Could he be facing some difficulties?

If he doesn’t return soon, I should go check on him.

”... So hot, so hot.” Li Wenxi suddenly sat upright, no longer leaning against Xu Xin, and started fanning herself with her hand, ”The temperature fluctuation is intense, can’t stand it!”

The temperature had risen to about thirty-five degrees, similar to before.

...?

Wait!

Xu Xin furrowed his brows.

This temperature is weird!

The previous jungle temperatures were this high only near midday.

Yet now it’s only just past six in the morning!

Even before, at this time, it wouldn’t exceed thirty degrees!

At this temperature now, what about noon?

This...

His eyes slowly widened and then his eye twitched slightly.

”... No way?”
