Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 773: Chapter 485: Gold Level! (4400 words)_2

Aside from Li Wenxi, the other four people had never seen so many purple-level resources!

Let’s continue.

The lower half of the giant’s body had already been collected by him. At this moment, he reached into his backpack and brought out the arm that had been smashed under the treehouse due to the explosion.

”Continue.”

The entire first floor of the treehouse was filled with a bloody smell.

Let’s aim to finish the disassembly today.

...

Far away on the other side, in a five-story purple-level treehouse, Shi Wanyun just woke up.

She barely sat up on her bed and looked at herself.

She was still wearing the damaged, blood-stained leather armor set.

Before falling asleep due to extreme weakness, she had collapsed onto her bed without paying attention to all this.

Now that she was awake, she felt uncomfortable.

However, she was still very weak.

She tried to get out of bed but as soon as her foot touched the ground and she attempted to stand up, her leg gave way and she collapsed directly onto the ground.

She struggled on the ground trying to get up, but her body refused to cooperate, and eventually, she had to lean helplessly against the side of the bed.

She didn’t even have the strength to climb back onto the bed now.

”How long is this period of weakness going to last... Why am I getting weaker...”

Shi Wanyun was extremely weak now. She wasn’t this weak when she first returned.

She rested her powerless wrist on her knee and started checking various channels.

Thinking about her current situation, she sighed helplessly.

”Explorer Xu Xin... can they really help me?” She began to mutter softly to herself again, ”Do they... really have the capability...”

At this moment, she remembered her previous experiences in that world, her eyes trembled slightly and then dimmed again.

”I must not turn into that ghostly state...!”

Her body was too weak to support her, and she slowly laid down beside the bed, by the foot of the bed.

Xu Xin, Explorer.

Hopefully, they will be strong enough.

...

The world channel was much quieter than usual.

Only a few sentences popped up occasionally.

Most survivors, in this scorching environment, didn’t want to talk at all.

The matter of Xu Xin killing the giant had not been spread yet.

Although many survivors on the scene had witnessed it live, those people were all in Xu Xin’s treehouse now. Without their watches and not being in their own treehouses, they didn’t have the ability to connect with the outside world, so naturally, they couldn’t spread the information.

If this matter got out, the world channel might become more lively.

The alliance channel was quite lively though.

Survivors from Area 188 and Area 1, each having a fan in hand, were constantly fanning themselves, and naturally, they had to find other things to do.

”Have you noticed, the temperature has dropped!”

”It’s really dropped! It was almost sixty degrees at noon! Although it’s still hot now, it’s clearly only forty-something degrees!”

”It’s really cooler!”

”Well, forty-something degrees counts as cooler, right.”

”Isn’t that much better compared to noon!”

”True enough.”

”It feels like I can have a good sleep tonight!”

”At forty degrees, I feel like I can have a good sleep. This world has cured me of my air-conditioning dependence!”

”What can we do, just have to tough it out!”

Xu Xin stopped his disassembly work, raised his arm to wipe sweat from his forehead, and looked out the window.

It was already five o’clock in the afternoon.

In the few days before the end of the winter season, this time would have been completely dark.

But now, the sun was still hanging diagonally in the sky, painting the horizon red.

Compared to the hottest afternoon at two o’clock, the temperature had obviously dropped to a range that the human body could still endure.

Looking at it this way, maybe it could drop below forty degrees tonight.

”Brother Xin, let’s take a break...” Beside him, a girl responsible for sorting shook her arm and said.

After working for several hours continuously without a break, Xu Xin was also a bit affected.

”...Let’s call it a day here, we should be having dinner soon.”

A few hours ago, Li Wenxi had already taken a group to the saltpetre mine to dig.

Most of the power of their crossbow rounds lay in explosions, so nitrate mines were essential.

After giving Ma Hongwei a pile of saltpetre, she couldn’t accept the lack of saltpetre stock, so she took most of the group to the mine.

An hour ago, she also informed Xu Xin via voice that she had found another rich saltpetre deposit in the mine, which was basically free of ordinary stone during extraction, making the mining efficiency very high.

Xu Xin was relieved because of this.

Compared to violent explosions, penetration power was too weak. Especially when dealing with mutated giant beasts that might not die even if their heads are shot through.

The saltpetre mine’s saltpetre being exhausted was his biggest fear, as their weapons, their big killers, couldn’t be made at all!

Fortunately, for now, there was no problem.

Yet, his harvest today was indeed not small.

Looking at the spoils in his backpack, he couldn’t help but smile on his face.

Today’s harvest, at the very least, was purple-level!

Purple-level beast skin, purple-level beast bone, purple-level meat.

The things gained from hunting and disassembly couldn’t be considered as basic materials, nor could they be used with the treehouse core for upgrading!

Which means they are real, non-reproducible gains!

Just in the afternoon, having disassembled two arms and a leg of the giant, he had already gained enough purple-level resources!
