Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 397: Chapter 300: The Power of the Behemoth, Overwhelmingly Strong!

Old hunters always say that if you encounter a predator hunting while you’re out, once you make eye contact, don’t look away. Otherwise, these beasts will think you’re afraid and see you as prey, ready to be attacked directly.

So, although those pitch-black pupils stirred deep fear within Xu Xin, he still didn’t look away but continued to stare back intently.

Meanwhile, his brain was working at full speed, looking for reasons and methods.

What exactly is it looking at?

Is it the treehouse, or rather... him inside the treehouse?

Is the treehouse special, or is he?

Should he strike first and attack it directly?

He keeps feeling that its scales, like rock all over its body, wouldn’t be afraid of the treehouse’s heavy crossbow.

Those are purple-grade materials; its entire body is covered with densely packed scales, all purple-grade!

Even if effective, at most, it would knock off a few scales, but if they angered the giant anaconda, preserving his life would be immensely difficult!

No, he can’t strike first; he must hold on and see what happens!

The Silver King kept growling softly towards the outside; it was no longer like before, paralyzed in fear of the Blood Pattern Giant.

Mimi also hissed towards the window, her tail standing upright, fur bristling all over.

As for Keke, she had already buried her little head into the sofa, occasionally letting out a muffled ”whimper...” not wanting to meet the eyes of this big creature.

Xu Xin, speaking softly to the somewhat stunned Lou Fei’Er beside, said, ”Get to the control panel. If it attacks, unleash full firepower; fire everything that can be fired!”

His calm voice steadied Lou Fei’Er’s nerves too. She swiftly got to the control panel, selecting all the treehouse’s heavy crossbows, eyes fixed on the terrifying giant anaconda silently watching them from a hundred meters away.

The giant anaconda remained stationary, just looking this way.

This standoff lasted for about more than a minute, and then the giant anaconda moved again.

Lou Fei’Er’s hand quivered, nearly firing all the crossbows at the treehouse.

However, the giant anaconda didn’t attack Xu Xin’s treehouse but turned its head and slithered leisurely towards Ma Hongwei’s treehouse.

Seeing it leave, everyone inside the treehouse, both humans and animals, let out a long sigh of relief.

”Whimper...” Keke jumped up from the sofa, leaping to the window to watch the giant anaconda.

Xu Xin sat heavily on the sofa.

Luckily, luckily it left...

The enormous body of the giant anaconda and its rock-like scales all over were not something Xu Xin could handle at the moment!

To deal with it, perhaps Ma Hongwei’s future research on super-heavy weapons would be needed.

But...

The giant anaconda now is moving towards Ma Hongwei’s treehouse!

He must think of a way to save him!

Ma Hongwei’s voice hadn’t cut off yet, and panic started there too: ”This... this... how could there be such a huge monster here! Those mutant creatures didn’t attack my treehouse earlier; I wished I hadn’t acted!”

Mutant creatures didn’t have the intention to attack his treehouse?

Xu Xin caught an information point.

But now is not the time to consider this.

”Steady yourself first and observe if this giant anaconda really intends to attack your treehouse. It’s moving slowly, seemingly without a strong attack intent, just curious about the source of the sound. Hide, don’t let it see you!”

Xu Xin quickly advised him.

”What if the giant anaconda really attacks the treehouse...” Ma Hongwei panicked.

The treehouse was his greatest reliance, but now it seemed like even his greatest reliance was insignificant before the giant anaconda.

”If it really attacks, then counter! I’ll think of a way to help you from my side too!”

”Alright!”

After ending the call, Xu Xin watched the giant anaconda, its tail just leaving the hundred meters range of his treehouse territory.

On the ground, many beasts’ corpses were flattened.

As the giant anaconda completely left, vines immediately emerged, penetrating those corpses to start absorbing.

The surrounding beasts were all dispersed by the giant anaconda, and they didn’t launch another attack.

They gathered at a relatively distant location.

Silence returned around the treehouse.

But this is just the calm before the storm.

”Actually, you don’t have to worry too much about him,” Lou Fei’Er didn’t seem as worried as Xu Xin, ”He is just like me, having taken the mutation pill. He has also overcome the weakness period. Did you forget, we have one revival capability.”

... Indeed.

”Think about it, even if this giant anaconda destroyed the treehouse and killed him with it, he can still resurrect.” Lou Fei’Er explained.

Thinking like this indeed eases the worry considerably. The giant anaconda probably wouldn’t eat him directly, right? Not even enough to get stuck in its teeth.

”I’ll go over; you all keep alert here.” Xu Xin looked outside, gritting his teeth.

Ma Hongwei must be rescued! He is the key to dealing with giant beasts in the future!

”Ah? You’re going? Better let me go!” Lou Fei’Er, hearing this, grabbed Xu Xin.

She did not want Xu Xin to risk himself.

Plus, in her mind, if Xu Xin died, having signed a pact with him would mean she’d also be buried along with him; it’d be better if she went.

Even if she died, she had one revival chance.
