Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 382: Chapter 294 Lou Fei’Er’s Past and Awakening_3

Her pocket money was not much, and it was all in the hands of the nanny.

But the nanny treated her very poorly, would deduct her pocket money, and when she was a child, if she went to the nanny to ask for money, she would even get beaten.

The nanny would not hit her face, so it didn’t affect her daily life too much, but if you removed her clothes, you could see that when she was still young, she was often covered with bruises and scars.

She once cried and complained when her mother came to see her, but it was of no use.

Her mother’s attitude was very indifferent, and she simply told her she knew about it.

But the nanny did not receive any punishment; instead, she learned of the complaint and intensified her abuse.

Later, she learned that the nanny was actually arranged by her mother. The nanny was authorized by her to do so.

Her mother despised her as this deformed product, so she did not want her to have a good life.

After learning about this, she felt utterly hopeless about the family and gradually became a compliant, submissive girl who wouldn’t fight back or talk back. Because once she showed emotion or got involved in any trouble outside, no matter if it was her fault or not, she would suffer more severe abuse.

She actually tried reporting to the police, but it was of no use, at most just changing the nanny, who would continue doing the work of abusing her.

The punished nanny would be locked up for a year or two, but before that, the nanny who had abused her countless times had already received a fortune she couldn’t spend in a lifetime.

Her acting skills might be natural because she was never truly an obedient girl, she was one to resist.

Even when she was young, she would do things like set traps to trip the nanny and make her bleed or make the toilet explode when the nanny was using it, causing her distress.

Even though she would suffer a beating when found out or be wronged even if not discovered, she still enjoyed it.

When she was in middle school, she almost killed a nanny, although the nanny did not die in the end, she would have to lie in bed for the rest of her life.

No one discovered that these things were done by her because she was always the compliant girl in others’ eyes, incapable of doing such things.

She did not escape destiny, not even after reaching adulthood.

Her life was more or less arranged, and she had no option to refuse. Being a descendant of a wealthy family wasn’t easy, even though she never enjoyed the entitlements she was supposed to.

She went through life dazed and confused until one morning she opened her eyes and found herself in a jungle.

After understanding the situation, she decided to indulge her heart in this world where nobody knew her.

Having experienced such a childhood, trust in parents was impossible for her, so naturally, she trusted no strangers, allowing her to deceive anyone with ease of mind.

Even in matters of murder, she felt no remorse nor disgust, instead feeling excitement.

She transformed from a compliant girl on the outside to a capricious bad woman who did whatever she wanted.

She didn’t know if this personality was truly hers, or just another guise under her acting skills, but she knew this personality made her feel relieved and truly made her feel free and alive!

She wasn’t afraid of death because she had already endured a childhood harder than death, so even though she initially lacked any special ability like Xu Xin and others, solely by her ruthlessness, she took the fifth place in the region.

Until later, she hit the titanium alloy plate that was the hardest among all survivors, Xu Xin, and was directly captured and subjected to a contract, once again losing her freedom.

She no longer wanted to live under the control of others, so in the first two days of her capture, she kept trying to escape, trying to break this contract.

But the wristband on Xu Xin’s left hand always gave her a strong deterrent, making her afraid to act recklessly.

Her fear of the wristband was actually deeply connected to her childhood shadows.

When she was still in primary school, for soiling her clothes while eating, she was thrown into a dark, lightless underground storeroom and locked in for a whole day and night. Because she lived in a standalone villa, the neighbors were far away, and no matter how she cried, it was in vain.

It wasn’t until a day and night later, when she was already broken, that she was let out, unable even to cry.

Since then, she developed an immense fear of such dark and silent places.

For this reason, she was genuinely terrified that Xu Xin would lock her in the wristband. Staying in that kind of place for long would drive her insane.

Every time she entered the wristband, it would evoke the deep-seated fear in her heart since childhood, drowning her in terror, leaving her body stiff and immobile, and her mind completely blank.

Perhaps for Afu and Mimi, while the wristband’s space was frightening, it wasn’t quite as terrifying. After all, once they got out, they didn’t have any particularly strong reactions; they simply didn’t want to enter again.

But for her, the wristband was undoubtedly the most terrifying torture device.

She thought she would develop an extreme aversion to Xu Xin, who did this kind of thing, but she didn’t.

Being under contract, it was naturally impossible for her to develop aversion towards the contract owner.

The contract had a significant impact on her thinking, almost equivalent to brainwashing, plus Xu Xin treated her well, so under these subtle influences, she gradually lost the desire to escape.

She had no attachments to Earth, unlike others who had a sense of home. Of course, if she could go back, it would be nice, just so she could finish off those who gave her such a tragic childhood.

Aside from the wristband which still made her extremely fearful, everything else here seemed to give her a sense of closeness.

The experiences of these two days, Xu Xin seemed unreasonable yet would protect her, take her back to the treehouse, helped Li Wenxi with mining, and last night everyone joyfully played a snowball fight, giving her truly different feelings and happiness.

People who have experienced much darkness are actually easy to satisfy, as the bit of light which is ordinary and easily obtainable for normal people can deeply affect her.

So now, deep in her heart, she has regarded this place as her home, which is why she actively took up the task of cooking, just to have more interaction with others.

And Xu Xin’s words just now were like telling her that she truly had a chance to be accepted into this ”home.”

Not as a prisoner, a slave, but as an equal, to truly integrate here.

”Please, I’m really going to cry...” Lou Fei’Er gritted her teeth, her eyes slightly red, ”I hope you’re not giving me false hope...”

After calming herself down, she stood in front of the control panel, focusing intently on her surroundings.
