Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 361: Chapter 286: Major Overhaul of Internal and External Power Systems

Xu Xin first made ten electric grids, each one meter apart, connected together to form ten meters.

He swung down from the treehouse and arrived at the location fifty meters away from the treehouse.

From the current situation, planting can still occur within fifty meters, but beyond fifty meters, plants can no longer grow. This area can be surrounded perfectly.

Xu Xin placed the ten electric grids side by side here.

Although the grids were only embedded less than ten centimeters into the ground, they were firmly fixed. With Xu Xin’s current strength, he could not move them at all.

Interesting, is this wire netting actually rooted in the ground?

Xu Xin swung his fist, striking the electric grid with all his might.

The grid only quivered slightly, with a little deformation, while his fist was quite painfully bruised by the iron netting.

”This strength is sufficient,” Xu Xin nodded in satisfaction, holding his fist.

He looked towards the treehouse.

This is fifty meters from the treehouse, and if connecting the generator and battery inside the treehouse with electrical wires, the wires need to be drawn down from the treehouse and then brought here.

The treehouse is ten meters high, which means sixty meters of wire are needed, along with six copper blocks. Such a long wire is easily affected.

It would be better to create another generator and battery here, specifically for the protective grid and traps.

Separating the power of the protective grid and traps from that which supplies the treehouse is a good idea.

After all, if the external grid is attacked and consumes too much power, it could lead to a deficiency of electricity within the treehouse.

That’s not good.

It’s better to separate them.

Xu Xin returned to the treehouse.

Looking at the remaining eleven blue-grade copper mines in his hand, Xu Xin tried to make a blue-grade coal generator, but was unable to do so.

The coal generator requires thirty iron blocks and five copper blocks, requiring multiple materials.

Just like the principle of the furnace or fireplace, so many materials cannot upgrade the entire structure to blue-grade with only one piece of blue-grade material; such a large object requires all materials to be blue-grade.

Therefore, a blue-grade coal generator requires thirty iron blocks (blue) and five copper blocks (blue), which is really too much.

Honestly, Li Wenxi could provide thirty blue-grade iron blocks, but currently, there is no need for them.

At least for supplying his own life and defense electricity within the treehouse, a green-grade coal generator is perfectly sufficient. Blue-grade or higher generators are likely prepared for the group.

Xu Xin made another coal generator and a blue-grade battery and returned to the ten iron grids.

Placing the coal generator and battery inside the iron grid, Xu Xin connected the generator, battery, and iron grid with the previously remaining wires.

Although there are ten grids, the wires only need to connect one grid for the electricity to operate on all the grids.

Xu Xin threw two hundred coal pieces into the new coal generator.

He couldn’t help it; there were over fifty thousand coal pieces in his hand, and two hundred pieces really weren’t anything.

The coal generator started rumbling and vibrating, and then the power level in the battery began to rise.

After the engine started, electric currents flashed across the entire grid intermittently, accompanied by sizzling sounds.

The grid which had slightly deformed from his strike slowly returned to its original state after being powered.

It can automatically restore itself! How strong!

Although it was stated that the grid only harms hostile units, this grid form is something Xu Xin absolutely dares not touch.

It’s a pity that there are no hostile units around now, making it impossible to test the grid.

Since it’s feasible, let’s continue working.

He returned to the treehouse and sent a message to Li Wenxi asking for 1000 green-grade iron blocks.

Li Wenxi naturally knew he wanted to surround the high-voltage grid and immediately sent them over, then messaged, ”Using so many of my metal blocks, won’t you come join me for mining?”

Xu Xin took the iron blocks and made the iron grid while replying, ”Next time for sure!”

Keke, just having eaten and drunk enough, came to find him on the second floor and climbed onto his shoulder.

”Full?”

”Ying!”

After more than ten minutes.

Xu Xin looked at the circle of iron grid around and nodded in satisfaction.

He already knew that the high-voltage grid wouldn’t release high-voltage electricity on friend units or neutral units because Keke had just sneaked onto the grid while he wasn’t paying attention.

The current high-voltage grid had stabilized and does not flash current or make sounds like it did earlier. The grid now looks like an ordinary wire mesh.

”Keke, get down, don’t climb up,” Xu Xin said to Keke, who was about to touch some tangled wires on top of the high-voltage grid.

”Ying!” Keke touched the tangled wires a little with her small paws, seemingly getting pricked, cried out in pain, and immediately turned around to climb down and leapt into Xu Xin’s embrace, ”Ying...”

Xu Xin held Keke, took a deep breath, and reached out to touch the high-voltage grid.

The moment his fingertip touched it, he felt a slight electric current flash on his fingertip, and he immediately withdrew his hand.

However, the high-voltage grid did not cause harm to him, only making his fingertip hurt a bit like static.

[Wire High-Voltage Grid (Green): When enemy units touch it, the battery power will be consumed to release high-voltage electricity—zap zap—barbecue flavor! Electrified, will not harm friend or neutral units but will deal tons of damage to enemy units!]
