Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 383: Chapter 295: Purple-Level Steel Armor Set, Mutation Occurs!

Due to the enhanced hearing, Xu Xin was able to hear her muttering on the second floor.

He was a bit puzzled, not understanding why Lou Fei’Er’s emotions were somewhat out of control.

He just felt that with Lou Fei’Er’s current actions and her abilities, she indeed could hold a place in the organization.

Ma Hongwei is actually the same; capable individuals can directly join the organization.

Their organization hadn’t expanded for a long time.

Xu Xin sent Ji Chaoyang a message: ”Have you discovered anything? On my side, a hundred meters away from the treehouse, beneath the snow layer, there are patterns on the ground that resemble blood patterns.”

Ji Chaoyang also sent a message: ”Same here, and have you noticed that the sound is somewhat like the sound when the portal exit is formed?”

Xu Xin replied: ”Indeed, although there are some differences, it is very similar. So I suspect that the beast predictions you mentioned that suddenly appeared are all transported to the surface by the portal.”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Hmm, that’s possible. This situation is too bizarre, clearly within the protection area of the treehouse, yet the ground is covered with patterns similar to blood patterns. Anyway, dangers can appear at any time, so be careful. I think it’s time to prepare the explosive crossbow bolts, I always feel when the time comes...”

”What will happen then?” Seeing Ji Chaoyang hesitating to speak, Xu Xin asked.

”...It’s nothing, just a bad feeling,” Ji Chaoyang hesitated, ”Xu Xin, there’s something not quite right around here, be careful. But if possible, once it’s safe, it’s better to explore outside.”

”What?” Xu Xin was stunned and was about to ask further when Ji Chaoyang hung up the call.

Xu Xin’s eyebrows slightly furrowed.

What does he mean by that? Letting him go out to explore? Told him something, but didn’t completely tell it.

Could it be that he indeed discovered something during his exploration yesterday?

With his character, the reason for not sharing is basically only one: that what he discovered involved the secret of the world once again, forbidden by that mysterious voice to speak out.

Ji Chaoyang couldn’t tell anyone, he could only remind him this way.

His ability as a seer allows him to acquire more information than others, and it’s quite normal for him to frequently discover some secrets. Dungeon exploration, defense battles, were all prepared in advance because he received some information.

But now it seems, the limitation of his ability is quite significant; once it involves the world’s secrets, he cannot share it with others.

”Exploring outside, huh...”

He was completely capable of exploring outside, and his equipment was very powerful; most importantly, he had a fragment of an energy core that could dispel cold and repel mutated creatures in his hand.

Besides that, he also had a blue-grade treehouse core.

He took out the core he had obtained from Ma Hongwei’s treehouse.

Besides this core, he also had the core from Le Youfang’s treehouse, which was given to him by Li Wenxi.

Li Wenxi’s ability allowed her to refine purple-grade metals herself, so she gave him this core, saying that after using it, he could return it to her for recharging.

The blue-grade treehouse core could upgrade purple-grade materials three times, and Le Youfang’s core could upgrade once.

Four upgrades were just enough to make a set of purple-grade armor.

His Scale Armor set was purple-grade too, but its main function was to allow him to operate underwater. In this icy world, he couldn’t break through the ice to go underwater, so the ability of the Scale Armor was useless. An entire set of purple-grade equipment might be less useful than a single piece of blue-grade steel armor, because purely in defense, the blue-grade steel armor had already surpassed the purple-grade Scale Armor.

Hence, he needed to create a set of land-use specific purple-grade equipment.

He hadn’t used this core before because he felt its ability to provide warmth and deter mutated creatures might be very useful at critical moments.

But thinking now, he had a stronger energy core fragment, and the treehouse itself could dispel cold, and as long as he doesn’t go outside, there’s no need to use the core’s power, so its usefulness became negligible.

He decided to make it into purple-grade equipment, and energy can still be recharged.

After pondering for a while, he ultimately chose purple-grade steel armor.

Steel material needed alchemy to produce as a high-grade material, and was one of the strongest materials of the same level. Purple-grade steel armor was already at the peak of purple-grade, and was the strongest armor he could make.

In terms of steel, Li Wenxi could also refine purple-grade steel, so he first asked Li Wenxi.

”Wenxi, have you recently refined any purple-grade steel blocks?”

Li Wenxi replied very quickly: ”Yes, I’ve refined one block, do you need it? I can give it to you now!”

Then came the trade offer and a video.

The little rich lady now granted all his requests, giving him whatever he asked for, without even questioning what he intended to do.

Having one block was nice; this way he could leave the blue-grade treehouse core with a third of its energy.

Although the blue-grade treehouse core wasn’t of much use to him, other explorers might need it, so keeping some energy as backup was prudent.

Connecting to the video, Xu Xin felt a bit embarrassed and said: ”I’ll find something good to repay you...”

Li Wenxi was standing at the window at the time, with Li Yajun and Le Youfang gathered around the control panel, tensely watching and operating the panel, observing the surroundings.
