Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 362: 286 Chapter Major Internal and External Power Renovation_2

Seeing this introduction, Xu Xin finally felt completely relieved.

He installed iron wire gates that can open and close at the four directions around the electric grid, northeast, south, and west, to facilitate his access.

The coordinates were just perfectly encircled inside the high-voltage electric grid, so the people transmitted here now have the dual protection of the plant heart and the high-voltage electric grid, no need to worry about being in a bad state.

Having finished these tasks, Xu Xin returned to his newly set up generator and batteries, using a steel frame and round logs, he constructed a small wooden house to enclose these two facilities.

Hmm, not bad, now there’s no fear of wind and rain.

Of course, if there’s exaggerated weather like a rainy season or an attack by giant beasts, this small wooden house surely can’t withstand. But by that time, even the high-voltage electric grid wouldn’t be of much use, so it doesn’t matter much for the external generator and batteries.

By then, it’s about fiercely safeguarding the treehouse.

After finishing these setups, Xu Xin returned to the treehouse.

He directly sent a voice message to Ji Chaoyang, but it was immediately hung up.

The other side sent a private message: ”Let’s talk when I return to the treehouse in the evening, I’m outside now.”

This guy, the disaster is coming tomorrow, did he go exploring at this time?

Xu Xin shook his head, feeling somewhat puzzled, but considering his personality, he definitely wouldn’t do anything reckless. Perhaps he discovered something new in his prophecy.

Xu Xin directly informed them in [Explorer] about the electric grid, asking who was currently in the treehouse.

Wang Lei: ”Damn! High-voltage electric grid? Sounds so secure!”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Brother Xin, awesome! I was worried about fighting the beast tide solely with a control panel being hectic, but now there’s a high-voltage electric grid! I’m heading back to the treehouse right now!”

Wen Guixin: ”Electric water heater and water pump? Sounds pretty good! I’m outside now, can only wait to return in the evening.”

Xu Xin: ”Those without the plant heart should return to the treehouse first, prioritize setting up the electric grid.”

Qi Xuefei: ”I’m currently in the treehouse.”

This was Qin Yunlong who sent him a private message.

Qin Yunlong: ”Xu Xin, did you discover the copper mine underwater? How deep underwater are they?”

He just briefly mentioned the copper mine, and Qin Yunlong, sensitive to underwater resources, immediately sent a private message to inquire.

Xu Xin promptly replied: ”Around forty meters, no problem for you, right? Haven’t you discovered similar ores?”

If Qin Yunlong can also discover copper mines on his side, that would be the best.

Qin Yunlong: ”Around forty meters... your diving skills are pretty good too.”

”Didn’t you previously say ordinary people could dive below one hundred meters?” Xu Xin teased, recalling Qin Yunlong’s previous words.

”Haha, back then I didn’t want to reveal my abilities, now that everyone has abilities, there’s no need to hide anymore.” Qin Yunlong responded.

”So, on your side, are there any of these green ores underwater?”

Qin Yunlong: ”I hate to admit, I’ve indeed seen ores, but they’re not green, and... guarded by underwater beasts, so I dare not extract them.”

”Underwater beasts?” Xu Xin’s eyes twitched, he immediately thought of the Lake Giant Python.

Does Qin Yunlong also have similar monsters?

”My brother and I both have a small lake near our treehouses, not large in area, but very deep, with many caves. It’s very dangerous inside, with even powerful mutant creatures, so we dare not explore it freely. However, the ores we’ve seen are probably not copper mines, at least not the green ores you mentioned.”

Alright, seems like I’ll have to use copper ores sparingly for now.

Xu Xin could only suggest he make a purple-grade weapon and offer him mutant potions to enhance his physical abilities, urging him to figure out these ores soon.

No longer chatting with Qin Yunlong, Xu Xin began to assist Qi Xuefei in building the electric grid.

He provided Qi Xuefei with coal generators, batteries, wires, and electric grids, and gave her iron wire fencing capable of enclosing ten meters around the treehouse, skillfully instructing her on its usage.

The others in Explorer don’t need to separate internal and external circuits like he does, which indeed waste materials.

They just need to fence off a small area under the treehouse, preventing attacks on the tree trunk.

Quickly, Qi Xuefei’s side was equipped, and Zhao Xiaochuan also returned to the treehouse, and Xu Xin promptly set up a system for him as well.

Prioritize those without plant hearts.

Meanwhile, he also visited Ma Hongwei’s parasitic treehouse, equipping him with a set too.

He’s a very important person, definitely can’t let anything happen to him.

Ma Hongwei was instantly amazed by the power system: ”...Coming here might be my best choice.”

Returning to his own treehouse, Xu Xin planned to equip some electrical appliances inside because he found that if he just provided electric grid setups for others, it didn’t require many copper blocks, so he could entirely equip a full set of electrical appliances himself.

With ample resources, Xu Xin immediately crafted the electric water heater and electric water pump, created pipelines and connected them, linking them up with wires to the second floor’s battery, integrating into the power system.

Next is water drawing.

The lake is two hundred meters away from Xu Xin’s treehouse, if he uses iron pipelines to draw water over, not only will it waste materials, but it will also be vulnerable to disruption.

Xu Xin decided to dig a trench, channeling the lake water to under the treehouse, then directly draw water from under the treehouse!

Without delay, he went downstairs with a shovel.

At the lakeside, he looked into the lake. The lake water was still very calm, bottomless.

”Ying!” Keke, perched on his shoulder, squeaked a warning, preventing him from going over.

It seemed the danger in the lake still lurked.

The low, lingering sound he heard, what exactly was it?

Anyway, it’s a place he wouldn’t dare venture into anymore in the foreseeable future.

Shaking his head, not thinking further, he began digging trenches by the lake.

It’s relatively easy for him, having a blue-grade shovel in hand, with each shovel he can dig out a unit of soil, the pit dug is one meter deep, and lake water instantly gushes into the soil pit the moment the soil is excavated.

He continued digging shovel by shovel, eventually connecting this trench under the treehouse.

He then thought and dug around, forming a circular creek allowing circulation for the trench. Otherwise, it always feels like stagnant water, not clean enough; circulation is better.

Keke, resting by the treehouse’s trench now, used her small paws to scoop her reflection on the water, fascinated by the little creek.

Xu Xin returned under the treehouse, leaning on a shovel pondering for a while, then swung the shovel again, continuing to dig, transforming this part under the treehouse into a small pond, two meters deep.

This pond just served as his freshwater reserve, maybe he could try raising some fish in the future.

Returning to the treehouse, he crafted pipelines, stretched them along the outer wall and tree trunk, connecting them under the treehouse and buried them underground, reaching the pond’s bottom.

Although he was about to enter icy days, the system had to be completed.

Moreover, unless it’s extremely cold, the ice layer won’t reach two meters thick, underwater remains liquid, allowing him continued access to water.

After the beast tide upheaval, the lakeside becomes most dangerous, other mutated creatures he might still drive away with energy core fragments, but the Lake Giant Python...

Better avoid that area.

This newly dug pond is within the heart’s protection zone and within the electric grid, making it quite safe.

”Ying...” Keke was now floating on her back in the newly dug small pond, paddling with her little claws, quite comfortably.

”You little one, not cold?”

Swimming in five to six degrees water temperature, really not cold?

”Ying!” Keke responded, indicating not cold, then continued paddling.

In the meantime, the beloved emerged from the burrow with two little ones, peeking over here.

Seeing the pond, the two little ones immediately squealed excitedly, running over and diving into the water.

Then immediately they popped up, rolling on the ground before plunging back by the beloved’s side, with a slightly aggrieved squeal.

...They felt the chill.

Pangolins are heat-loving creatures, the little ones, despite having mutant bloodlines resistant to cold, don’t like cold.

”You guys play here, I’m heading up.”
