Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 384: Chapter 295: Purple Tier Steel Armor Set - Mutation Occurs!_2

”You are the strongest, after all. My goal is to feed you bigger and stronger, then lead us to victory; this is called leading the weak with strength!” Li Wenxi said nonchalantly.

She felt that concentrating resources on one person was the best approach, and she wasn’t interested in purple-level armor or weapons. Moreover, she wasn’t a combat-type ability user, so giving them to herself would be wasteful.

She believed that even if danger arose, Xu Xin would be able to protect her.

She curled her lips and said, ”If you feel embarrassed, come and spend more time with me when it’s safe. Use your body to exchange for my materials, hehe.”

Her face flushed slightly as she spoke.

Xu Xin was initially stunned, then burst into laughter.

Goodness, now he really had the tendency to be a kept man.

”Is this really something a girl should say, Wenxi? Be more reserved.” Li Yajun, who had been watching the control panel behind them, couldn’t help but tease, and Le Youfang showed a somewhat lecherous smile.

”Hehe, what’s wrong with girls? Can’t girls be naughty?” Li Wenxi puffed out her chest.

”Alright, alright, stop fooling around. You all must be careful now...”

Xu Xin shared what he had discovered with the group over there and then became serious, ”You all don’t have plant hearts, can’t rely on plant hearts for self-protection, you must not be careless. And protect the coordinates well. If there’s danger, tell me, and I’ll come to help you.”

”Will there be no problems on your side?” Although Li Wenxi wished Xu Xin would come over, she was more concerned about his safety.

”Don’t worry, the heavy crossbow, electric grid, and plant heart, my defenses here are very strong. Plus, Lou Fei’Er is in my treehouse, she can help me defend.”

”...Oh.” Li Wenxi pouted slightly, a bit envious of Lou Fei’Er.

If she had been transplanted over back then, she’d be defending with Xu Xin right now. On second thought, it seemed the main treehouse wasn’t that great after all...

She glanced at the two behind her and shook her head. No, you can’t have such thoughts, you have to be responsible for these two now, Li Wenxi!

”Hmm, I got it, you...” Li Wenxi hadn’t finished her sentence when the virtual screen projected by the watch suddenly disappeared.

”...? What’s going on?” She opened her mouth in shock for two seconds, then blinked, somewhat confused, ”Why did it suddenly disappear? No signal?”

She swiped her watch a couple of times, but unlike usual, it didn’t project any image and was completely unresponsive.

She looked outside without noticing anything unusual, then turned to ask the two beside her, ”Have you noticed anything strange?”

Both shook their heads; they had been observing the surroundings of the treehouse via the control panel and found nothing unusual.

”Strange...” Li Wenxi approached the screen of the treehouse and turned it on.

If the watch doesn’t work, use the screen to ask if everyone is experiencing the same issue.

However, while the screen did turn on, in the regional channel, the conversations of the survivors in area 188 had stuck a minute ago, and no one had spoken since.

”What’s going on...” Li Wenxi felt chills running down her spine; where did everyone go?

She tried to send a message, but...

[Treehouse affected by unknown force, some communication abilities temporarily unavailable.]

”What?!” Li Wenxi exclaimed in surprise. She quickly sent a private message to Xu Xin, trying to make calls and send video alerts, all reminding her that some communication abilities were temporarily unavailable.

”What’s wrong, Wenxi?” Li Yajun asked, walking over upon seeing her panic.

”Yajun, my treehouse can’t contact anyone else...” Li Wenxi said with slight panic.

This was the first time since arriving in this world. Before, she could always contact outsiders, even in the dungeon!

”Can’t contact others?” Li Yajun and Le Youfang exclaimed.

...

Xu Xin pondered while touching his watch.

Some communication functions unavailable?

Some?

He tried sending messages to everyone and found only two people could receive his messages.

Ma Hongwei and Lou Fei’Er.

Actually, only Ma Hongwei received them because Lou Fei’Er could only receive messages from area 188 in her parasitic treehouse; her watch was still bound to the treehouse in area 187.

”What’s up, anything you need my help with? My weakness period is over; I can help you all,” Ma Hongwei replied.

Weakness period is over? That’s good.

Xu Xin explained the situation to him, warned him to be extra cautious.

Only main treehouse and parasitic treehouse can communicate, further exacerbating Xu Xin’s earlier concerns.

But currently, it didn’t seem extremely worrying. After all, they still had portal connections between them; if anything happens, they could still quickly relay information via the portal.

As for the others, each of them is a superhuman, knowing each other’s positions, no need for him to worry.

Feeling temporarily at ease, he began crafting the purple-level steel armor set.

Purple-level steel armor set, four parts, requiring four pieces of purple-level steel block. He already had one piece and needed three more.

Xu Xin used up the piece from Le Youfang and then used the energy from the blue-level treehouse core twice, upgrading three blue steel blocks to purple, placing the remaining energy blue-level treehouse core into his backpack.
