Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 368: Chapter 289: Wen Guixin’s Ability Shocks Everyone

Ji Chaoyang asked, ”Wang Lei, does your ability include making any special equipment?”

Since Zhao Xiaochuan has one, Wang Lei should also have one.

”Yes, yes, I’ll send it to you all to see.”

A few seconds later, Wang Lei sent out a blueprint.

[Power Belt (Purple): A belt that assists in controlling strength, improving the survivor’s level of strength control, allowing them to perfectly master their own power. Requires Beast Skin (Purple) *1]

Another purple-grade blueprint!

”Hey, I felt the same as Zhao Xiaochuan at the time, purple-grade beast skin, it’s just a bit absurd, and the ability provided looks quite average!” Wang Lei complained.

Improving the level of strength control is not average at all.

You must know, most people have weak control over their own strength. If one can perfectly control their own power, all of their physical abilities will be greatly enhanced, much more than simply increasing strength!

Wang Lei: ”That’s all my abilities. Do you have any more questions?”

Zhao Xiaochuan and Wang Lei, these two who have always kept a low profile, who made Xu Xin sometimes doubt if they had abilities, really surprised everyone.

At this moment, Ji Chaoyang spoke up, ”I’ll go next, I’ll talk about my ability.”

Qin Yunlong: ”No, let me go first, I always feel embarrassed to speak after you and Xu Xin.”

Qin Yunhu: ”My ability is basically the same as my brother’s.”

Qin Yunlong immediately began to describe his ability.

”My ability is called [Sea King], my brother’s too.”

Wen Guixin: ”The name of your ability...”

Li Wenxi: ”Pfft!”

This name... sounds very powerful indeed.

Just like Xu Xin suspected, their abilities are related to water and diving.

First of all, they are naturally endowed with the abilities from the purple-grade Scale Armor Xu Xin has: underwater freedom.

Moreover, they seem to be even more exaggerated.

Their swimming speed underwater is incredibly fast. According to their words, their speed underwater can reach seventy to eighty kilometers per hour.

Seventy to eighty kilometers! That’s almost matching the speed of Silver King on land!

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Impressive, brother, let’s compete on speed, with you in the water and me on land, whenever you’re free!”

Li Wenxi: ”How do you even compare that?”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”I run along the riverbank, and you swim in the river.”

This jungle is filled with dense rivers and streams, which can be seen from the vast area already mapped out.

On the map, the treehouses of Ji Chaoyang, Lou Fei’Er, and him, are connected by a small stream. There is also a stream by Li Wenxi’s treehouse flowing from north to south. Qi Xuefei’s treehouse has a river flowing by, which appears much larger than the small stream on the map.

The stream passing Li Wenxi’s treehouse branches out from this river.

This means these waterways might all be connected.

So, even though there aren’t any large lakes in the jungle for them to demonstrate their abilities, their incredible underwater speed can still be very useful in the rivers.

They might even be able to reach all regions through the waterways.

Not to mention the underground rivers like the one beneath the Hilly Resource Zone.

Qin Yunlong: ”Besides that, we have another ability that greatly reduces the effect of water pressure on the body. We can dive very deep without any tools and can surface from deep water at seventy to eighty kilometers per hour without feeling any discomfort.”

Sounds really powerful.

Although Xu Xin suspected they had this ability after knowing they could dive to one hundred meters deep, the fact they experience little effect from rapid ascent and descent is quite bizarre.

On Earth, his country’s self-developed manned submersible, Jiaolong, has a maximum diving speed of 42 meters per minute, with an average speed of about 0.5 meters per second. Even submarines don’t dare to dive and surface quickly!

Of course, there are also animals that are equally outrageous, like the sperm whale.

The sperm whale can dive at a speed of 170 meters per second, able to plummet abruptly and surface rapidly, surpassing all human diving devices as well as Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu’s speed.

In this light, they’re practically human-shaped whales, befitting their title as Sea Kings.

However, others don’t seem to have much concept of diving, just finding such abilities incredible.

Li Wenxi: ”Wow, doesn’t this mean you can freely explore the underwater world, that’s really amazing...”

Wen Guixin: ”With abilities like that, can’t you just live underwater?”

Qin Yunlong: ”We can’t breathe underwater, though. Even though our breath-holding time has greatly increased since we were diving coaches, we still need the ability granted by water plants to breathe underwater.”

”Also, underwater creatures naturally feel close to us. Even aggressive underwater creatures won’t attack us. Mutant creatures might be wary of us, but as long as we don’t provoke them or enter their territory, they won’t attack us even if they see us.”

Similar to the effects of Scale Armor.

As expected of the Sea Kings.

The areas they can explore are naturally much larger than those of other survivors, and as long as they don’t act recklessly, their explorations are basically risk-free.
