Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 395: Chapter 299: Giant Python Landing! _2

Those snow leopards, most of them were mid-level mutant creatures. Although the brightness of their red dots had not reached the level of a giant mutant within the group like Mimi Silver King, it was still far higher than that of low-level mutant creatures.

Yet, at this moment, they did not launch attacks, standing in the snow, watching this group of low-level mutant creatures gradually break through the plant vines’ defense. They were conserving their energy, as if waiting for a chance to strike.

Smart move.

However, fortunately, these mutant creatures were not like the ant swarms from before.

The ant swarms during the defense battle rushed towards the tree house disregarding life or death, which allowed them to quickly breach the plant heart’s defenses due to their overwhelming numbers.

But these mutant creatures were different, they were very cautious with their lives. Once the plant heart controlled vines to drill out from underground, they would be busy dodging and looking for opportunities to counterattack.

The number of vines the plant heart could control was numerous and could absorb the mutant creatures it killed. Therefore, even if some vines were destroyed by mutant creatures, it did not lose momentum; rather, it fought more vigorously.

The mutant creatures pushed their front line to about seventy meters from the tree house, unable to advance further.

The vines and mutant creatures were entangled in battle, the vines were constantly consumed, and continuously replenished.

Although the number of mutant creatures slowly decreased, it was still far from being able to kill them all.

With Xu Xin and those few mid-level mutant creatures both not making a move, the plant heart and the mutant creature army reached a stalemate, maintaining a balance.

He then looked towards the giant python, which had yet to make a move, still showing half of its head, and slowly loosened his already clenched fist.

The current situation was still clear, as long as the giant python didn’t make a move, he had his own methods to deal with it.

He carefully observed the map in his mind.

”Huh?”

He suddenly discovered that although the tree houses on the map were all surrounded by the mutant creature army, the number of red dots on his side was the densest, and the range was the largest.

Next door, Lou Fei’Er’s tree house was still intact, but there were no beasts surrounding it, only a few scattered red dots moving freely nearby.

Similarly being a purple-level tree house, compared to his side, the number of enemy units around Ji Chaoyang’s tree house was more than halved.

Meanwhile, around Li Wenxi’s tree house, the number of enemy units was even slightly more than around Ji Chaoyang’s side.

And the least was on Qi Xuefei’s side, where the red dots were relatively sparse around her tree house.

There was no separate encirclement around Ma Hongwei’s parasitic tree house.

The encirclement of mutant creatures around Xu Xin’s main tree house was within a radius of five hundred meters, and Ma Hongwei’s tree house happened to be within this range.

Within this area, there were only their tree houses left; others were either dead or had been subdued by them.

Beyond this distance, Xu Xin’s map could not observe.

Even though his map could see enemy units in areas that were not illuminated and still completely dark, it had some distance limitations.

But why was the number of mutant creatures attacking the tree houses different?

”Boom! Boom boom boom!”

Just as he was pondering, suddenly a series of explosions came from outside the tree house!

”What?” Xu Xin’s pupils trembled slightly.

The explosion sounds came from Ma Hongwei’s side, as Ma Hongwei was attacking with explosive bolts!

”Boom boom boom boom! Boom boom boom!”

The continuous explosion sounds made Xu Xin’s heart tighten, and he slowly turned his head towards the giant python in the center of the lake.

Ma Hongwei’s tree house was southwest of Xu Xin’s tree house. Xu Xin had intentionally planted his tree house to be far from the dangerous lake, so he couldn’t see the giant python’s head in the center of the lake.

The explosion indeed caught the giant python’s attention.

Its head slowly turned, its abyss-like dark eyes looked towards the direction where the explosion sound came from.

Then, its entire head slowly emerged from the water, starting to swim leisurely towards the shore!

No way, no way, no way!

Xu Xin’s pupils shook violently. He had never seen this giant come out of the lake before! Even during the battle with the giant crocodile, it didn’t chase out!

The water in the lake was pushed apart by the giant python’s massive body, and the ice floes floating on the surface seemed to automatically give way for the Lake Giant Python, scattering to both sides.

Meanwhile, the other red dots in the lake had already hidden shivering at the edge of the lake, not even daring to move.

”Is that giant about to come out?” Lou Fei’Er also saw the movement of the Lake Giant Python, ”Can we handle it now?”

...If it really attacked the tree house, then even if we couldn’t, we had to!

”Boom boom boom! Boom boom!” On the other side, Ma Hongwei was still frantically firing explosive bolts. To assure his safety, Xu Xin had given him a thousand rounds, more than enough for his use.

The giant python’s sight stayed focused on Ma Hongwei’s tree house direction, as the explosion sounds continued, its swimming speed increased more and more, and then in Xu Xin and Lou Fei’Er’s slightly terrified gaze, the gigantic head already made landfall!

”It’s up! It came ashore!” Lou Fei’Er clutched Xu Xin’s arm, saying with some terror, ”The big snake looks so terrifying, I hate snakes!”

Xu Xin immediately sent a voice call to Ma Hongwei, and as soon as he connected, without waiting for the other party to speak, he said at once: ”Don’t use explosive bolts anymore! If you want to attack, use the regular bolts!”
