Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 366: Chapter 288: The Concealer and the Warrior_2

Wang Lei: ”...I just feel like your ability is the type you should never mess with, it’s practically the ultimate sneak attack skill!”

Qin Yunlong: ”I was wondering how you got home so fast yesterday, turns out you’ve got car-like running speed.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Actually, I’m still not used to it, I can only run by the stream where there are no trees, or else I’ll run into them...”

Ji Chaoyang also asked, ”Can you make anything? Like equipment or tools that only you can craft.”

Xu Xin wanted to ask the same thing.

He, Qi Xuefei, and Li Wenxi all had items they could uniquely craft, and though Ji Chaoyang hadn’t told them, he certainly had his own too.

His prophetic room couldn’t just be an empty room, right?

So he speculated that people with special abilities could always craft something unique.

”Indeed I can; right now I can only make one thing, [Cloaking Cape].”

Hearing the name, Xu Xin seemed to know what it could do.

Zhao Xiaochuan immediately sent out the introduction of the Cloaking Cape.

[Cloaking Cape (Purple): A cape that can cloak your presence. When worn, as long as the survivor remains still, they will be ignored by enemy units as if they were a roadside rock. Requires Beast Hide (Purple) *1]

Wow, playing statues!

Stand perfectly still and you’re invisible!

However, this cape requires at least a purple-grade beast hide...

It’s important to know that beast hides aren’t basic materials; they can’t be upgraded through the Treehouse Core and can only be obtained by dismantling beast carcasses.

And before that, you need a purple-grade boning knife or else you can’t even cut out the purple-grade hide.

Last time Xu Xin continuously sliced through a dozen nearly advancing mid-tier mutant piranha carcasses with a purple-grade boning knife, only to finally obtain one purple-grade hide—a pitifully small chance.

And that hide was used to make the backpack he’s carrying now, a purple-grade backpack that reduces weight to 2%.

A Cloaking Cape also needs a purple-grade hide.

Thinking about its powerful function, it seems it really needs to be purple-grade to hold it up.

”You see, it’s not that I don’t want to make it for you; it’s just that this purple-grade hide...” Zhao Xiaochuan was helpless.

”Can you imagine the despair I felt when I first saw the crafting blueprint? I didn’t even have a green-grade hide at first, and it wanted a purple-grade hide! It’s absurd, and besides, this thing is useless to me, it was meant to be made for others from the start. If you hadn’t just mentioned it, I would’ve forgotten all about it.”

Indeed, according to what Zhao Xiaochuan just said, not only can he erase his presence by staying still, but he can even achieve it while walking slowly, so this cloak is indeed meaningless to him.

But to Xu Xin and the others, this thing is definitely a life-saver in critical moments!

Especially for supportive personnel like Li Wenxi and Qi Xuefei, who aren’t strong in combat; when in danger, they just need to stay still, and it’s a life-saving artifact for them!

It’s just that the materials are truly too precious.

”That’s all for my abilities; compared to Sister Xuefei and Beauty Wenxi’s abilities, mine can’t seem to offer much help to you guys...”

Ji Chaoyang: ”No, your ability is strategic; even without the cloak, as long as you have this ability, it’s greatly significant for our future development.”

Indeed, it feels like he could eventually take the enemy leader’s head from amidst a million troops.

”Alright, I’m done. Wang Lei, it’s your turn. What’s your ability?” Zhao Xiaochuan and Wang Lei have a good relationship but don’t know each other’s abilities, ”I remember during the last defense battle, you said you had a blue-grade iron armor set and could definitely break through the vine barrier, so we gave you the opportunity.”

Qin Yunlong: ”Indeed, in hindsight, I even regret a bit—plant heart!”

Wang Lei: ”Haha, the plant heart is a great treasure, I really got a good deal.”

Wen Guixin: ”Quick, tell us your ability, I’m curious too.”

Wang Lei: ”Alright, alright, my ability is called [Might], you can guess what it is from the name, right?”

Might, in its original meaning, refers to a person with great strength and also an ancient official title, used as a ceremonial guard for the emperor’s outings, chosen from strong soldiers, like Gao Lishi beside Tang Xuanzong.

Xu Xin: ”Very strong?”

Wang Lei: ”Brother Xin is right! No mistake, it’s super strength.”

Wen Guixin: ”I have great strength now too, can you really outdo me?”

Wang Lei: ”Haha, in terms of combat ability, I certainly can’t beat you, but if it’s just a comparison of strength, I can pin you down so you can’t get up!”

Wen Guixin: ”Oh wow, so arrogant? I can kick down a tree with one kick!”

Wang Lei: ”Just a tree? Haha.”

Wen Guixin: ”What are you laughing at? Quick, tell us your ability!”

Wang Lei then began to describe the details of his ability.

His strength truly surpassed what ordinary people can handle.

If you really want to describe it, it would be...

Lift mountains and overshadow the world!

He can lift objects 500 times his own weight!

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Whoa!”

Qin Yunlong: ”500 times?! Even more exaggerated than a hundredfold explosion rate! No wonder you said with iron armor you could definitely break through the vines, with that strength, who could hold you down!”
