Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 385: Chapter 295: Purple Tier Steel Armor Set - Mutation Occurs!_3

His crafting chamber had a high success rate, so he didn’t need to worry about failure and proceeded directly to crafting.

Quite easily, four sets of purple-level steel armor were completed.

Xu Xin immediately checked the effect of the steel armor set.

[Steel Armor Four-piece Set (Purple): Significantly enhances the wearer’s strength while granting them strong combat abilities and weapon-use skills.]

Combat abilities? Weapon skills?

The Scale Armor set granted him powerful swimming abilities, allowing him to move freely and see things clearly underwater.

And the abilities of this steel armor set presumably wouldn’t be much worse in comparison.

He immediately took off the Scale Armor set and stored it in his backpack for later use, then donned the steel armor.

The steel armor set is essentially a heavy armor set. The blue-level steel armor set already had a tendency to surpass the purple-level Scale Armor in terms of defense, let alone the purple-level steel armor, whose defense is extremely impressive.

But such a set was very thin and light, although heavier than the Scale Armor set, yet with more power, it didn’t make much of a difference. Wearing the thin steel armor, it seemed less durable than the blue-level steel armor, giving a rather flashy but insubstantial impression.

”...Is this the less you wear, the stronger the defense?” Xu Xin chuckled slightly.

Green-level iron armor set, blue-level iron armor set, blue-level steel armor set, purple-level steel armor set—the defense is increasingly stronger, but it looks thinner and thinner. Naturally, the mobility also becomes more agile.

And what does that combat ability refer to?

He swung his fist and immediately felt the capabilities the purple-level steel armor set brought him.

With just a casual punch, he threw a perfect punch.

Whether it was the area of energy emission or the angle and speed of the punch, it was all perfect, maximizing the punch’s power.

Then he pulled out his long halberd.

Instantly, combat methods for the long halberd surged into his mind. He felt that these experiences had completely fused with his body, forming what’s known as muscle memory. Now his every lift of the hand was far stronger than before.

Previously, in the cramped, low treehouse, despite numerous swings with the long halberd, he was unable to fully strike the nimble Lou Fei’Er. But now, he was confident he could land a hit.

”Not bad!”

Xu Xin was satisfied. The effectiveness of this set of armor on land was much stronger than that of the Scale Armor set—not only was the defense high and strength great, but it also bestowed him with super combat abilities.

It’s natural, after all, the Scale Armor set is for underwater, and its abilities on land are weaker.

When there’s a need to go underwater again, he’ll take out the Scale Armor set.

”Xu Xin! Xu Xin! Something’s happening!” Lou Fei’Er’s somewhat anxious voice suddenly called from the third floor.

Something’s happening?

His hearing enhancement surprisingly didn’t detect any surrounding commotion.

He rushed to the third floor and saw Lou Fei’Er with wide-open eyes staring at the screen. As soon as she saw Xu Xin, she hurriedly waved him over, ”Quick, come and look inside!”

He went over, looked at the screen, and his pupils slightly contracted.

A mysterious phenomenon occurred.

In the snow beyond a hundred meters from the treehouse, the thick layers of snow silently cracked into paths less than a centimeter wide, and these paths increasingly multiplied, gradually forming special shapes on the snow surface.

”Is this... Are these blood markings?” Lou Fei’Er muttered, she looked back at Silver King and Mimi, who didn’t detect any anomalies but were puzzled by their own blood markings, then pulled open her collar and looked down at her own body, ”It seems a bit different from our blood markings?”

Xu Xin was pondering over these changing snow surface patterns.

What do these different patterns represent...

”Can you operate the control panel? Stay alert, and if something happens, attack directly!” Xu Xin squinted his eyes towards the outside and ordered Lou Fei’Er.

”Understood!” Lou Fei’Er immediately tightened her grip on both sides of the panel, her knuckles slightly pale, her eyes staring unblinkingly at the movement on the panel.

”Eek!” Keke suddenly cried out, jumping twice to the windowsill to look outside, ”Eek eek eek!”

And in Xu Xin’s ears, the incessant unpleasant sound suddenly became clear!

”What sound is this?” Lou Fei’Er alerted, now she could hear the sound too, ”Is the portal exit open? That’s not right, why is this sound everywhere?”

”Keep an eye on your control panel.” Xu Xin frowned, rubbing his ears; this sound was truly unpleasant.

The real danger was coming!
