Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Delphus, naturally does not fear the Red Dragon.

After all, he does not need to step in.

So, this dragon behaves even more recklessly.

As for the Black Robe Mage, who has taken advantage of this period to make the Bone Giant his own, although he remains silent, based on the fiery eyes of the Bone Giant turning from green to dark gold, and his actions in front of Delphus, it seems his target was always this traitor of the Defense Tower.

”Teacher, shouldn’t he be aware of Delphus’s problem?” Russell, capable of recognizing such blatant action, feels a bit puzzled, ”Though Delphus himself is not a good person, isn’t attacking him to provoke the other side and benefit the Sia Tower?”

”Ah... there must be some connection between them.” Hilbert smiled, ”It’s likely all planned out.

Delphus certainly won’t die, but severe injuries are inevitable.

Possibly, there’s a big move from the Defense Tower, so they don’t want him to arrive with Rosero and Aislin too early.

Moreover, the Envoy of the Styx, harms the soul first.

Delphus’s weakened Soul Power must be more beneficial to the other side.”

Russell nodded in realization: ”I see.”

Carpenter, however, thought of something else: ”So, they appear openly in front of people from the Sia Tower?

The dragon used to avoid the main people of Sia Tower.

Now, do they have allies, so they are more daring? Or is the power of the Styx getting stronger?”

”Both.” Hill nodded, ”But mainly because the Power of Nether has grown stronger.

Otherwise, generally, one won’t collaborate with followers of Lansendel when they can’t protect themselves.”

Russell lightly sighed... although he had already discerned how big the threat of the Lord of Dawn from the behavior of the Sia Tower’s people, but, that’s the Styx!

Even cooperating needs to be so cautious... only daring to form an alliance with the opponent across miles after being capable of resisting the attack from Sia Tower separately!

And, he already has some understanding of his own teacher.

If ’Gilbert’ thought the Envoys of the Styx were being a bit excessive, he would definitely mock them.

But his tone now is very approving.

That means, in the eyes of their teacher, who doesn’t fear even Asmodeus much, the Lord of Dawn is worthy of such comprehensive precautions.

No, this is not Lansendel, just his followers.

Russell silently warned himself... if the chance ever comes to meet this Lord of Dawn and his subordinates in the future, he must be cautious, very cautious.

Russell has always been smart, he already guessed a bit from Hilbert’s sudden acceleration in teaching... Hilbert cannot take him and Carpenter away when he leaves.

Russell is mentally prepared for this point, after all, Hilbert had mentioned a few times that this world is different from others, and his fate actually belongs to a more favored type.

People like this should be those who, according to the teacher, enjoy the benefits given by the world, so it’s impossible for them to easily leave this world.

Only as time passes, when he gradually returns the world its favors, could he choose to leave this world and see the Multiverse.

But Russell didn’t expect this time to come so quickly.

Thus, recently, he has been diligently studying spells, also researching how to independently control a Magic Tower... Russell knows that if at the time when his teacher must leave, he still can’t lead Carpenter to survive independently, without understanding how to prioritize interactions with other powers, he might be entrusted to certain powers for guardianship.

Either the Styx, or that Lansendel, who though the teacher doesn’t fear, still troubles him somewhat.

Russell is unwilling.

So he is working very diligently to study, striving very hard to demonstrate his abilities.

As long as there’s a little opportunity, he still hopes to live independently.

-----------------

Delphus’s Magic Ballista completely lost its effectiveness... the existence of the Black-Clothed Mage indeed increased the Bone Giant’s evasion rate of this weapon.

While occasionally a shot hit, it reduced the strength of the attack, only to be blocked by the spell of that black-robed eye-watcher.

It was clearly a standard Defense Tower stance, but the flickering light was not the pale or colorful hue of Protection Spells, rather closer to the dark black of the Power of Nether.

Delphus couldn’t help his angry shout: ”Who are you? Defense Tower... no, the Hainarson Clan can’t have an Archmage still alive today!”

Hilbert and that black-robed man both lifted their heads... is he stupid?

Though Hilbert may not be Gilbert in person, he at least lived quite comfortably in the Sia Tower!

Even if you look down on Seventh Circle Mages, you can’t act as if he doesn’t exist!

Even Rosero, hiding behind, couldn’t help but comment: ”Could you consider, when you say that, that the Styx doesn’t need living people?”

”Isn’t that Hainarson self-destructed?” Delphus, holding the Magic Ballista, asked with a ferocious face, ”If he hadn’t perished entirely, why would I use his Strange Objects?”

Hilbert blinked... the Defense Tower can’t have only Hainarson as a Strange Objects Crafting Master.

Yet Delphus chose the Hainarson Strange Objects with remaining tribesmen, not choosing those of others... does he know something?

”See, you are well-prepared against our Sia Tower, but the result is... haha, nothing at all.

With just this bit of skill, where did you gain such confidence to think you deserve us from the Sia Tower to deal with you?” Rosero smiled gently.

Always silent, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle, Aislin curiously asked: ”To deal with this kind of garbage, does any big figure really need to intervene?

He couldn’t even defeat Gilbert!”

Hilbert couldn’t help but blink... Aislin’s words, how interesting.

She surely wouldn’t know who the black-robed man opposite is, but she directly hit the most critical point.

Is the Silvermoon consciousness in this guy’s soul about to awaken?

Otherwise, how could just instinct lead to such an intuitive statement.

Hill could even feel that the black-robed mage steadily standing in the Bone Giant’s head was quietly observing Aislin.

He was probably pondering whether this former Eldest Martial Sister really discovered something or was speaking blindly.

After all, though Hilbert withstood Delphus’s assault, mostly due to fate’s coincidence... had Delphus not been eager to establish power and insist on using that ’Order Jewel’, he wouldn’t have left two lives behind upon retreat.

Hilbert’s Magic Tower was in tatters!

Hill, indeed a little aware, knows the extent to which he can display Protective skills.

Otherwise, how could he instinctively request Rosero’s help?

Rosero, however, didn’t react to Aislin’s words... in his eyes, though she chose to betray Glaysia, planning to go solo, she was still part of that Princess of Hell.

Anything she says is normal, since she always has her own standards... what she feels is what it is.

This reason is behind why Aislin hasn’t been caught.

Though her acting is a bit bad, Glaysia’s is even worse.

As for why an orderly evil Princess of Hell could be so similar to a naturally chaotic Silvermoon, no one knows.

Delphus was most affected by this comment: ”What is Gilbert Hainarson worth!

If not for luck, he would have been reduced to ashes by me long ago!”

”You better not use that Order Jewel here.” Rosero’s attitude is very firm, ”Do you want to burn a few more of your own?

Look at those few hairs behind you, if they burn, who will you use?

You surely wouldn’t think Aislin and I would help you operate the airship, right?”

”You speak so happily?” The black dragon from the Cloud Realm interrupted, unwilling to be silent, ”None of you will leave here alive!”

”Such a standard Chromatic Dragon bandit remark?” Rosero couldn’t help but retort, ”If you’re impersonating a Stygian River Dragon, imitate for a longer time.”

”Ah~ hahaha~ haha~ who said I am a Stygian River Dragon?” The massive body of the black dragon hidden within the clouds trembled with laughter, ”Even I don’t know what I am!”

”What is he doing?” Carpenter asked in astonishment.

”Testing if that Battle Angel is still present?” Russell frowned, ”Are they going to fight or not?”
