Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Aislin’s destiny is indeed not great, it seems quite sympathetic.

But it only seems that way.

For Hill, Aislin is not important enough for him to meddle in the Path of Destiny of a world’s deities.

Their friendly relationship has always been based on his compromise.

For someone as proud as Hill, it’s hard to turn a mutually beneficial relationship into a friendship.

Not to mention, Aislin has never had good intentions for him from the bottom of her heart.

If standing here were Gilbert, or worse, Russell, both of them wouldn’t fare well after being dragged into the water by Aislin.

Even if they can smile and converse, in Hill’s eyes, Aislin is just a trouble more annoying than a stranger.

Who can establish a relationship with her, other than someone like Oliva and Ruth who have blended with her for a millennium?

She used to have a personality no different from the Princess of Hell.

Now she’s the most chaotic type of Moon Goddess... Whether she’s good or not, her existence itself represents trouble.

Not to mention, according to Hill’s deduction, this Moon Goddess was the original culprit that caused the big blunder, attracting the gaze of the Lord of Hell to this world... Otherwise, Hill wouldn’t still feel Aislin has a slim chance of survival.

With the weak willpower that female mage possesses, if a deity favored by the world awakens from her, she almost has no ability to resist.

But now, this Moon Goddess isn’t cursed by the world... forget it, there’s no if, even if using the last breath, the World Will would curse this foolish Silvermoon, so even for someone as defeated by everyone as Aislin, there’s still a chance to win.

If she can’t even defeat negatives, then really no one can help her.

This and the previous situation with Glaysia are two different things.

No, maybe for Aislin it makes no difference, but for Hill, it’s two different matters.

He would only pull Aislin up if they are on the same stance, like now, it’s already the greatest mercy for him to agree with Ruth to let Aislin leave Sia Tower sooner.

However, Hill did sense that Nicholson is indeed a promising Prophecy Mage.

Without having studied exclusive Prophecy Spells, he accurately found where Aislin’s chance of survival lies.

Indeed, if Aislin, who left with Rosero, really met that Morninglight Elect, or even directly faced the curious Lord of Dawn who came to this world, her soul indeed could be purified.

After all, although that Moon Goddess is a hazy existence, she’s essentially just an illusion made up of a pile of soul fragments... Once those soul fragments integrate in the Light of Dawn full of hope, as long as Aislin holds on, she’ll forever be herself.

Although this ’herself’ isn’t that great either.

Hmm?

Upon realizing this, Hilbert suddenly thought... if those who left with Delphus are eventually going to be illumined by the Light of Dawn, then Delphus surely has big problems.

And Rosero, this gamble of his this time might have to bear a huge loss.

Thinking of that Duke of Demons’ character, Hilbert can conclude, even if Mr. Rosero transformed from a Hell Devil to an Angel of Dawn, he wouldn’t wish for a fate worse than death.

Whether the Lord of Dawn or Glaysia is harder to serve... Hill thinks this is truly an age-old issue.

Although Glaysia is easy to fool, unlike the firm-willed Lansendel, but she has no brains!

Moreover, she never learns to clean up her own mess, always using the lives of her subordinates to smooth the Lord of Hell’s anger.

Rosero is bound to crash someday.

The Lord of Dawn is just difficult to persuade, but that doesn’t mean if you have reason, he won’t reward you.

He just persists in his mistakes, but before committing major mistakes, he still knows to keep his subordinates in line.

Thinking of this, Hill belatedly blinked with a guilty conscience.

This is probably Rosero’s fate~

Wish him... well, better not say that, what’s the future got to do with a devil like him?

It’s Delphus instead.

Even according to Nicholson’s prophecy, according to Hill’s deduction, normally, he’s good material for a spy.

But Hill still doesn’t want to believe that guy would play so big.

But for Hill, he never believed in coincidences happening to the same person repeatedly.

Once a coincidence doesn’t truly happen occasionally, then it’s all a meticulously planned inevitability.

Although thanks to Delphus’s shameless and senseless act, making the devils look down on him, letting this guy become invisible in this chaos once again.

Hill can still see, at least at Rosero’s level, even the Great Devils have grown suspicious.

Rosero simply made a brave choice: between a Delphus who might attract Lansendel, and a Glaysia White Tower that would definitely be purged, he chose the greater hope... to him, the one with greater hope.

Hmm, how should I put it... this at least proves one thing, Rosero should participate in Prime Material Plane related activities infrequently.

Including the invasion of this world, he probably belonged to the supportive role afterward or involved in some diplomatic activities, but hasn’t engaged in those raids or assassinations.

This is his courage to face the fearful potential of encountering the Lord of Dawn.

Just like Hill has always said, Lansendel actually reasons with you.

It’s just that his reasoning is different from ordinary people.

But the reason why he can be classified as Neutral Good is naturally because his conduct rules, you might say he doesn’t understand logic, normal people can’t communicate... But, the Law relating to goodness truly acknowledges his kindness.

So, he really doesn’t kill recklessly.

Of course, when impulsive, causing death is another matter.

But, indeed, he doesn’t take the initiative to kill innocent people by himself.

Rosero surely harmed many, but as a guy struggling in Glaysia Royal Palace for so long, those he harmed are his peers.

Tricks and schemes among evildoers, dog-eat-dog... Faction monitoring doesn’t count this.

So, Rosero does have the courage to appear before Lansendel.

But if he’s made this decision, then in his heart he probably also figured out that Delphus must have issues.

As for whether Fengo and Glaysia would let Delphus leave... not letting him go would be abnormal.

If he had no issues, those two would resolutely keep him to placate the dissatisfaction of the Tower of Dark Enigma.

After all, all the comforting attitudes previously displayed by Fengo were superficial... For a mage, such superficiality is the most meaningless.

You can only say, the mages of the Tower of Dark Enigma chose to endure under the eaves.

So, when Hill confirmed Rosero would leave with Delphus, the numerous pondering thoughts in his heart already settled.

Though it’s a type he’s been reluctant to admit... Delphus is indeed a terrifying person!

And then Hilbert thought of another matter:

If everything Delphus does is an act, then what’s his biggest lie?

It must be his complete break with his family.

But the family he originated from, because of its excessive glory, was indeed wiped out... some even by Delphus’s own hand.

Tsk, thinking of this gave Hill goosebumps.

What he fears most is a determined Delphus, willing to sacrifice everything for his pursuits.

While not lacking admiration for the other’s will, encountering him only makes you want to distance yourself... Someone willing to sacrifice anything, will certainly not hesitate to sacrifice those standing next to or against him.

If you’re a good person, you’d be sacrificed even more thoroughly.

Hill quickly pulled back his overly diverging thought process, and thought of a crucial presence: Delphus gathering young mages from various places and small families, putting them under his command to manage those mines and small magic towers.

It’s said their qualifications aren’t considered very good, but although few have the qualifications to enter Sia Tower, if switched to other magic towers, like Tower of Dark Enigma later couldn’t even fill up with students, they could be considered of moderate aptitude.

And those students of his, said to be strong but restrained by these so-called Delphus kin.

Among these people, all having problems is impossible.

But, it certainly includes a significant number of problematic individuals.

Tsk tsk, the hiding in plain sight trick is well-played.

Sia Tower expended more effort pursuing the so-called remnants of the Defense Tower than chasing that Red Dragon, yet the other side just sat cozily within their own embrace, smiling.

Once Hill understood this, he was filled with reverence for the Defense Tower of those years.

Truly impressive!
