Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Kamente Tower slightly shook his head: ”So, to avoid being controlled by others, notions of evil or good are useless, only power is the key.”

Rommel gave him a silent glance: ”Are you standing up for Delphus?

But you should understand that the presence of the Kind Alignment, no matter what punishment it metes out to a person of evil, is within the rules.

If you don’t commit evil in front of him, even if he wants to sacrifice you, he will put you last...

And when it comes to this so-called last moment, being sacrificed doesn’t really matter, does it?

Unless you wish to fall into evil.

But if you intend to take a walk down the path of evil, how could the strong of the Kind Alignment let you go?”

Kamente Tower blinked and couldn’t help asking with a head full of questions: ”Rommel, why are you speaking for the Kind Alignment all of a sudden?

I don’t think you’re...”

”Ah, of course I’m not!” Rommel replied decisively, ”But, I need to understand something about the existence that might affect my life.

Sometimes, to avoid being influenced by external affairs, you need to be good at communication.”

Listening to this, Kamente Tower’s eyes twitched a bit... Living in this world, no one could possibly understand the mindset of absolute neutrality.

They don’t have the capital to walk that invisible tightrope.

”What a pity, I really wanted to see what’s going on with Delphus.” Kamente Tower finally decided not to probe Rommel’s state of mind further.

After all these years without clear understanding, when encountering big troubles like Glaysia, Rommel only adds more ’illusions’ to himself.

Kamente Tower wouldn’t bother with this effort.

”Actually... it’s not like no one can see.” Rommel muttered softly.

”What are you saying? Is someone from the Sia Tower monitoring them?” Kamente Tower quickly responded, ”No way, that’s Rosero.”

”In Fengo’s eyes, Rosero is nothing.” Rommel replied firmly, ”If Fengo doesn’t dare to investigate him, it’s only because he’s afraid that Rosero might really encounter a presence that should not have appeared.

If he doesn’t want to be discovered directly along the link, Fengo would choose to feign ignorance.”

”Then, who are you talking about?” Kamente Tower was a bit confused... Glaysia surely doesn’t have time for that, she’s been busy sending all sorts of bizarre gifts to us.

Rommel locked himself in the Auxiliary Tower with a sign on the door saying ’Closed to outside guests’, but the little boys in white aren’t worried anyone would dare to take Glaysia’s gifts, so all those odd things were placed at the entrance of the Auxiliary Tower.

If it wasn’t for the direct passage between Kamente Tower’s Main Tower and Rommel’s Auxiliary Tower, Kamente Tower thought he wouldn’t come to find Rommel either.

After all, Rommel’s fragrant entrance that wafted for miles was a bit hard to breathe around.

Where did Glaysia learn the methods to pursue men?

In the Mage’s world, although it is generally fair, female mages still exhibit a beautiful and fragile appearance.

Perhaps because most of these mages come from Nobles, on the surface, they tend to show some respect towards females.

Therefore, if you swap the genders, Glaysia’s behavior would be no different from sexual harassment.

It’s at a level where a pursued woman could turn hostile and kill someone.

Of course, if the person doing this wasn’t named Glaysia, Rommel would also view such pursuit as an insult, without any difference.

That kind of high-handed, condescending gaze cannot be tolerated by anyone with self-respect.

So to speak... anyone with a normal mind wouldn’t be able to accept this kind of ’if you agree to be with me, good things will naturally abound’ kind of pursuing method.

Rommel isn’t destitute, needing her resources to survive!

Kamente Tower couldn’t help but glance out the window... even from such a height, the giant bouquets lined up by the entrance of the Auxiliary Tower could still be seen: Glaysia doesn’t even care what kind of flowers Rommel likes, just grabbing various expensive flowers randomly.

It looks like a sea of flowers, but every single detail shows... carelessness.

The pursuit is grand and dramatic, but the attention to Rommel as a person is practically zero.

It even makes one imagine the scene where the Princess of Hell casually instructs a subordinate to collect the most expensive flowers from her garden, package them, and send them to Rommel’s hand.

”No wonder Rosero had to take the risk to run this errand.” Kamente Tower pondered for a while but couldn’t help muttering.

Logically, if Rosero continued to manage the internal affairs of the White Tower, all these matters would definitely be his.

Although that guy acts a bit sinister and his methods are somewhat unscrupulous, his aesthetics are quite decent, unlike this haphazard mess.

It’s obvious that the person responsible for this task isn’t really putting their heart into it... as if they would!

Who among the people around the Princess of Hell wasn’t once her personal pet?

A wise person like Rosero, who has positioned himself as a steward when needed and as a male pet when necessary, how many are there?

Even if they dared not meddle in this matter due to pressure from Glaysia, asking them to genuinely help their mistress choose a gift for a freshly ascended rival... even at the Kamente Tower, it must be said, truly puts them in a difficult position.

No normal person would do such a thing.

Unfortunately, the Princess of Hell has never been normal; she doesn’t see the feelings of those lovers she has already discarded.

Currently, Glaysia simply lacks the mental energy; her main focus is clearly on smoothing over those past mistakes, big or small... So when it comes to Rommel, she just needs to maintain that special presence.

Thinking of this, Kamente Tower couldn’t help but sympathetically glance at Rommel, whose expression was indifferent... It’s hard to say whether Glaysia is pursuing Rommel’s approval or declaring her possessiveness of him.

Tsk, anyway, Rommel clearly doesn’t accept this method of pursuit.

Rommel didn’t intend to respond to Kamente Tower’s obvious self-talk... Even if it’s not, that’s what it is here.

Kamente Tower hesitated for a moment, still asking, ”So, who are you saying might see what’s happening on Delphus’ side?

I’d like to see it~”

”Don’t bother, it’s nonsense.” Rommel, after thinking for a while, couldn’t help but sigh, ”He’s fearless now; he definitely won’t compromise.”

”I can’t, you can’t, not even with Ruth?” Kamente Tower tentatively asked, ”Ruth must be very concerned about following Aislin.”

”Aislin?” Rommel couldn’t help but grin... After communicating with Hill, he naturally understood at what stage this woman was now.

Rommel had no desire to focus on that woman’s existence.

Teraxil’s misfortune lies in having a meddlesome Goddess of the Silvermoon... but he couldn’t say anything reproachful, because on careful thought, without the Silvermoon Goddess’s antics, there wouldn’t be the birth of Teraxil’s humans.

The only regret is the Teraxil’s Goddess of the Earth was too kind... if she hadn’t just sealed the stolen saplings with Life Force by the Silvermoon Goddess back then.

Although the world would still suffer, at least they wouldn’t have to see the likes of the Elven God King.

But thinking back, if that were the case, they’d always be under the Goddess of the Hunt... tsk~

Right, at most, they’d have the two silly Goddesses of the Spring and Lake.

And as a mage who learned from elves, I’d probably have long turned to ashes in the wild.

Reflecting on their history, Draculus didn’t even know what kind of attitude to hold towards the Silvermoon Goddess... Indeed, keeping a respectful distance is the best approach.

Isn’t Toril the same because of the meddlesome Silvermoon turning into such a state?

AO just went with the flow rather than pushing from behind... That God Above Gods, clearly prefers capable Primordials rather than countless races running amok.

Thinking of the Legendary multiverse realized in just a few years, and the various inside stories Hill mentioned, Rommel took a deep breath: ”Aislin... better not watch her.

Between her and Glaysia, it’s hard to say who’s more troublesome.”

In Kamente Tower’s enlarged pupils, there was only one sentence... more troublesome than Glaysia, who’s pursuing you, what does that mean?

He knew about Aislin, who might have been under control recently.

But this form of control was clearly different from before, so Ruth would occasionally have Aislin handle matters that Sia Tower must not know about.

Kamente Tower actually admired Ruth a lot... He seemed always able to turn disadvantages into advantages.

Aislin is unsafe, but her wandering around Sia Tower became the least noticed... even Glaysia and Rosero probably wouldn’t believe someone would let such an obvious spy transmit secrets.

Clearly, Aislin could carelessly let secrets slip through her eyes, but Ruth dared to let her work.

Of course, Aislin gaining such trust from Ruth was due to his years of nurturing.

Kamente Tower definitely couldn’t raise such a loyal child.

However, with such an Aislin... Kamente Tower still asked, ”Ruth, does he know?”

”He would let Aislin follow Rosero, he must know something,” Rommel frowned and shook his head, ”I don’t know how much he knows or how he knows, but this Tower Master of the Tower of Dark Enigma is more informed than I thought.”

”Isn’t the well-informed one Nicholson?” Kamente Tower immediately responded, ”Though he’s a half-baked Prophecy Mage, he can indeed see something in the River of Destiny.

You know, the River of Destiny offers countless possibilities, and Prophecy Mages actually find the most likely among them.”
