Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill was helpless about thinking of Celene again.

Maybe for the Devils, Lansendel was more terrifying.

But for Hill, he always found Celene more troublesome.

Truly.

Every consequence of Lansendel’s arrival, Hill didn’t need to worry about... that’s Rommel’s headache.

But what would happen after Celene came, he couldn’t imagine at all.

The unknown is the most terrifying.

Hill pondered for a while, turned his head to look in the direction of the Main Tower... actually, it’s not like he didn’t have a way to attract Celene’s attention.

Aislin’s presence might distract this Silvermoon Maiden a bit.

Actually, what he was most worried about wasn’t Celene coming herself, but that she would come with Luna’s appearance.

The word ”Holy Mother” was really made for Luna’s appearance.

She’s truly too compassionate.

Hill must be prepared just in case.

If she comes and suddenly decides that Glaysia, who wishes wholeheartedly to become the Moon Goddess of Hell, is pitiful and lovely, and truly wants to cultivate the Princess of Hell into Hell’s Moon, Hill would be disgusted to death.

So, it’s crucial to send Aislin to her promptly.

Forget it, whether it’s Celene herself or that beastified Luna that everyone loves, Hill has decided to send Aislin up.

Although Hill doesn’t really like that woman either.

But it’s still better than having that Silver Madonna wandering around with Glaysia by his side.

Between two evils, choose the lesser.

No matter how annoying Aislin is, she is understandable.

Instead of really letting Celene go save the Devils and get involved in some Hell disputes... if she takes Glaysia to Toril, Hill certainly won’t care about her business.

But from Hill’s understanding of Celene, she will definitely choose to let Glaysia stay in the world she fought for.

This isn’t Hill’s random speculation, but Celene has previous convictions... she always looks at those who love the moon obsessively with different eyes.

Rather than letting her idle and save the Princess of Hell, it might be better to have her save the Moon Goddess’s reincarnation in this world who is abused, controlled, and utterly powerless to defend herself.

Aislin, although not, she could be.

Having prepared for the worst, Hill actually felt relaxed.

He opened a blueprint and smiled slightly at the two children: ”Alright, this time, we’ll start from the bottom of the tower.

You two follow me closely and watch carefully.

The thing about the Magic Tower is that it is ever-changing yet always the same.

In the future, you might not need to build one yourself, but you must know how to build.

At the very least, when repairing the Magic Tower, you should understand the significance of each rune.”

”Yes, teacher!” Russell and Carpenter whispered together in response.

Hilbert actually knew he had many things he could do... like that Delphus who kept hiding and playing dead thoroughly.

But considering Sia Tower had already gifted him plenty of reparations... of course, they wouldn’t call it reparations, just comfort gifts to soothe Hilbert’s fright.

The extent of these comfort gifts already equates to the money Hilbert earned working.

Moreover, each single item could match the value of that ring’s resources... although it makes no difference to Hilbert, but if Gilbert were standing here, it’s clear these materials are rare even in Ruth’s hands and could indeed silence him.

Although Hilbert didn’t hold the Devils’ rare transcendent materials in high regard, he had another thought: what if Delphus related to some plot of Lansendel’s Follower?

Even though letting someone who offended him live wasn’t pleasing, if keeping him alive could make Asmodeus suffer, even if just a tiny chance... normally, that guy should be just a disposable trash bag, but what if?

Just for this chance, Hilbert was willing to tolerate.

In any case, before Glaysia steps out of the White Tower again, there’s no big affair in Sia Tower worth his concern, so he’ll use this time to fully teach the students!

Originally thinking he’d have a long time to teach, Hill suddenly realized this time might be significantly reduced... exactly how long wasn’t up to him but depended on how long Asmodeus could fool Lansendel with the guiding Silvermoon’s help.

So, he could only seize the time and increase the difficulty.

Nevertheless, Russell should be able to hold on, right?

This child, although slightly lacking in Talents, truly has good patience and resilience... moreover, his Fate has slightly rebounded, hasn’t it?

Instead of using that elusive Fate on a destiny without much use, why not use it to learn more things... knowing those past misfortunes, what’s the point?

Hilbert was entirely uninterested in speculating those melodramatic stories, eagerly immersed himself in teaching.

-----------------

Russell’s suffering need not be mentioned... if Hill used half of the methods Fran used to teach him on this child, it would cost him half his life.

A Mage’s memory does indeed become stronger as their Mental Sea grows, but there’s still a huge difference compared to Hill who is innately unable to forget things overheard or seen.

But Russell’s pain was accompanied by the greatest satisfaction... In this world, having a teacher who devotes all their energy to teaching students is simply unimaginable happiness.

Therefore, no matter how tough it gets, Russell feels he can stick it out.

The ones who truly can’t hold on, however, are others.

For example, Koyl, who oversees the trade hall, and Rojas, who is responsible for delivering messages.

In contrast, Rommel has momentarily lost his presence... After all, everyone understands that his future is beyond anyone’s interference now.

We can only see if he can hold on... But regardless of which outcome, the results seem neither bad nor particularly good.

So, no one dares to engage with Rommel, who always appears displeased.

After the Magic Tower at Kamente Tower was completed, that guy plunged into his subsidiary tower and didn’t come out... According to Kamente Tower, Rommel wants to sense the law early to advance to the Eighth Ring.

It’s an explanation that seems reasonable... at least to the Mages who only understand the surface situation.

After all, if Rommel can become an Eighth Ring, even if he ends up not withstanding Glaysia’s pursuit, he wouldn’t be regarded as a mere male pet.

Though he still couldn’t be called a partner, at least he could be considered a lover.

Oh well~

The students of Kamente Tower, in the end, won’t let themselves suffer too much.

Even Hilbert, immersed in teaching, has heard these rumors... His greatest enjoyment now is spreading gossip among a few favorite Mages.

Sometimes, when Hilbert sees her, it’s as if he sees... some images from the past.

Uncertain if every Silvermoon in the world likes to probe for news... Could it be due to the pervasive nature of moonlight?

Of course, although Aislin couldn’t give up the fun of delivering messages, she didn’t give up reclaiming her power either.

This girl now has a bit of a ’reborn from the ashes, returning with a vengeance’ vibe.

Although Oliva suffered the most... Well, how to put it, this guy is used to it.

Moreover, possibly out of pity for his little sister who has regained her spirit, Oliva didn’t squabble with her much.

When it came to some control disputes, aside from those concerning his fundamental rights, he merely struggled a bit before yielding them to Aislin.

Yet the mutual affection between this senior and junior has brought trouble to Koyl and Rojas.

Initially, they both had slightly expanded beyond their small territories.

Take Koyl’s trade center, though the work makes him lose a lot of hair daily, he indeed meets most of the mainstream Mages of the Tower of Dark Enigma.

Since Ruth assigned him such exhausting tasks, it was impossible not to give Koyl any benefits.

Koyl can earn commissions from these transactions.

The larger the transaction, the more benefits Koyl receives.

And if he chooses to share some of his profits with certain people, he can definitely connect with many in his small circle.

If Ruth hadn’t fixed the price of all materials, Koyl could have performed even better.

However, Koyl’s ambitious drive suffered a critical hit when Aislin rose again.

Koyl used to know Aislin was annoying, but he never expected she could be this troublesome.

The trade hall is his jurisdiction!

Why does a person who has nothing to do with it keep coming over for inspections!

Can anyone live like this?

The same goes for Rojas.

Though her power is smaller, her students each showcase their own brilliance, and when they are sent out for messages, they usually bring back some benefits.

Though these benefits aren’t significant, and most suit the cultivation resources of the girl delivering messages.

But for Rojas, the one thing they really want is this.

When her students are immersed in relentless training, Rojas realizes the cautious and conservative resources saved in the past simply aren’t enough.

Though Sia Tower gave them plenty of good things upon arrival, at that time, most of them were low-rank Mages.

No matter how abundant the resources for low-rank Mages, it’s not enough for their Intermediate Mage training!

That’s why Rojas actively appeared by Ruth’s side to express her desire to work, and indeed received work that was very suitable for her.

But even with such a small matter, Aislin wants to interfere.

In Aislin’s mind, the Female Mage should be self-reliant and not accept others’ gifts casually.

Rojas and her students aren’t fools!

They clearly know what kinds of gifts can be accepted and what must be resolutely rejected!

But Aislin demands they accept nothing.

Doesn’t that make their message work go unpaid?
