Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1303: Chapter 1094: Nasir at the Crossroads

Fortunately, at this moment, the magical ships of the Undead Tribe army were already closing in, and their magic cannon was strong enough, but not as accurate as the Anmur people’s on the opposite side, relying solely on the speed of their firepower.

The time it took Anmur people to fire one shot was enough for the Undead Tribe to execute ten consecutive shots.

However, their favorite tactic was still to directly ram their ships against the enemy’s warships and then board for combat.

Why bother with ship-to-ship combat?

Gun versus gun and blade versus blade, that’s where the thrill lies!

The Black Rose’s large ship, watching with delight, suddenly received the message of an all-out attack... and it had to be intense.

The plan for ’Snow Cloud Peak’ to retreat from the Moonshadow Archipelago had been considered countless times, but in the face of 600 pounds of Mithril, it was now completely scrapped. What they needed now was... to divert attention from other forces before the temple forces that could help share the high-level pressure arrived.

Therefore, Ningbrol Island at this moment could no longer hide behind the scenes but had to demonstrate that everything they had done before was to conceal the existence of the treasure on Ningbrol Island.

After all, the Undead Tribe is not afraid of fighting, but they are somewhat worried about a high-level Archmage suddenly acting shamelessly... like those Black Robes or the Chosen from Mystra’s side, especially that sisterhood of Elaströ.

The Undead Tribe didn’t quite mind; even if they’re exterminated, they could go back and bring a big shot along... of course, Hill never cared about this little money.

They believed that the three up there in the Floating Castle were definitely willing to help them outright, for their temples to have a significant profit.

But before that, what about the agreement just reached with the Black Dragon Brothers?

If they don’t carefully leave Little Golden Dragon behind... Terry and Tasding definitely would not come back for the dragon at this time.

As for Fran, whether he would make a move, the Undead Tribe was unsure.

After all, Hill always acts extraordinarily, and whether his dear grandfather would see this little money that has to be shared by a lot of people is uncertain... basically, no one thinks he would be tempted by a bit of Mithril.

Everyone knows Hill’s character well; anything he casually pays with would only be more plentiful in his hands.

Therefore, in order not to get entangled in Toril’s mess, at most Fran would save Little Golden Dragon and Little Whale... Tasding wouldn’t be in trouble; his escape speed is renowned throughout Toril.

Otherwise, this Mercury Dragon wouldn’t live so freely and easily after offending so many forces and Giant Dragons.

The Undead Tribe actually wasn’t that interested in the money; Mithril to them wasn’t the strategic resource as seen by Toril people, it could only be linked to Gold Coins.

But they are interested in people who come for money!

It’s openly called the Black Dragon Nest Defense Battle, actually to eliminate all the greedy ones who automatically come for money, and unlike the tediousness of dealing with the Demon Army, just imagine how many people want to enter the mine and dig a few shovels.... wouldn’t that be interesting!

Once seeing ’Snow Cloud Peak’ listed on the flat panel, along with certain forces, collaborating to occupy the advantages and disadvantages of this mine.

Who wouldn’t involuntarily choose ’yes’!

Usually, opposing Old Dog was fun, but who would sincerely want to stop the birth of an experience-gaining instance so close to their base... that would really mean becoming an enemy of the world, and one must prepare to never let anyone know they chose ’no’ for a lifetime.

If someone indeed has this rebellious spirit, choosing ’no’, how could they control themselves from sharing this spirit with others?

So whenever faced with such ’yes’ or ’no’ choices, the Undead Tribe would plunge into a period of turmoil... mainly between ’I have the freedom to choose for myself’ and ’freedom is fine, but freedom comes at a cost’, conflict is always inevitable.

And it certainly won’t be small.

After all, both sides consider each other unreasonable and self-serving.

Before the next significant event happens, if it hasn’t triggered a family battle, then the matter would pass, otherwise, it’s the birth of another batch of eternal enemies.

Unless one side quits the game, even if the family dissolves, hatred would persist.

The ’Old Age Striking King’ frowned, pounding the flat panel hard: ”Damn Old Dog! Making us stall time, stall time, and now, how is it our turn to take the stage?

Snowfall Island had so many dragons! How could we pull away any attention!

Does Ningbrol Island have this value?”

”I... honestly think... there won’t be fewer Archmages here.” Nasir hesitantly left the window... seeing that the Black Rose finally intended to officially start a war with Ambori, he seemed somewhat regretful.

”What do you mean?” ’Old Age Striking King’ asked, puzzled.

”Generally speaking, Mages wouldn’t choose to form a death feud with an unbeatable enemy.” Nasir’s smile was peculiar, ”But... when needing to frequently venture out to sea, those Archmages would still engage in a life-or-death battle upon seeing Ambori, don’t you find it strange?

Whether from Kind Alignment or Evil Faction, whether from Silvermoon City or Sel, even if going to sea risks capsizing, they absolutely won’t compromise... many Sel’s Red-robed even prefer not to board ships, they’d rather exhaustingly fly over the sea themselves.”

He casually revealed the truth: ”It’s simply because Ambori’s mouth is just too foul.

Mages, however, are quite proud creatures... After all, without some talent, how could they even touch the edges of magehood?

Even when low-circle mages go out, they walk with their heads held high, feeling superior to everyone else.

High-level mages need no mention, though sometimes they may fear the might of the deities... But... I bet you wouldn’t believe they’d fear a deity of Ambori’s caliber, right?

Who would tolerate her like this!

But even if you risk everything to drive that madwoman away, the mental torment suffered is still... unforgettable.

Otherwise, how would all those tales of Ambori have spread, given her ruthlessness of plundering wealth and then playing whole ships of people to death, it’s a common occurrence.

If one cannot fly or use spatial jumps, even with decent power, survival on the sea is no easy feat!

Only those mages who need to venture at sea know the ins and outs of these matters.

But what can Toril’s mages do about her?

Who’s going to fight their way into her Divine Kingdom...”

Nasir spread his hands: ”Otherwise, how could the fame of Goddess Agleya reach common folk on other continents who can’t even read? How did they learn of the distant Goddess of the Sea, only appearing in Sword Bay?

Even the Undead Governor from Liansel is very willing for the local coastal fishermen, including those skeletons, to worship Agleya, even if she is clearly a kind deity.”

He looked at the expression of ’Perfect Baldy’ on the mast strangely... Even with a hint of admiration: ”Although your Clan Leader has some peculiar tastes, he must certainly have gained fame overseas by now, earning the respect of mages across the Ferun Great Land!

Truly... able to curse.

I think, with this buildup, even if I encounter Ambori when I venture to sea in the future, I can remain calm while fighting and cursing!”

He patted the black metal bracelet on his wrist, pulling out a thick leather notebook: ”No, despite having a good memory, I must record some of the essence!”

’Old Age Striking King,’ without changing his expression amidst the frantic laughter of a few Toril people, replied to Snow Old Dog: ”Old Dog, rest assured, Baldy has already used his mouth to complete half of the bait task.

Once the fight starts, I will remember to encourage him to keep it up, aiming high, letting everyone know what Sichuan Spicy Oil means.”

Toril people quickly experienced what an upgraded version meant... It seems that before, ’Perfect Baldy’ had slightly held back his words to prevent things from turning into Ambori’s proactive offensives.

After receiving the notification from ’Old Age Striking King,’ he immediately doubled his speech speed, with a peculiar rhythm, making Ambori fail several times to find the right timing for a comeback.

”Baldy...” ’Old Age Striking King’ laughed as he comforted the surprised little girl Edna, ”You also know he once wanted to be independent like Ink Brush on Black and White Path, right?

After all, he’s quite wealthy, before joining Liu Liu, he... hehe~

You can probably see, his temper is unlike Ink Brush’s gentle nature, exploding upon encountering things used to be his norm.

Therefore, the beatings he suffered were naturally more brutal than those faced by Ink Brush.

His only advantage is standing at the forefront of us unlucky ones following him around, even in quarrels with the enemies.

In a world we used to visit... it was pretty much fighting from start to finish, fighting while cursing was routine.

It’s always logging in and out amidst swearing, encountering tough ones, don’t even mention swearing for days or nights... That truly was a full half-year not knowing whether it was fighting or swearing.

This... is the achievement Baldy Brother honed over that half-year... Eventually, when he logged us in, the world turned silent.

If Baldy hadn’t decided to return for respite at Old Dog’s... Although we fought quite miserably outside, there truly was no one actively cursing us.”

Edna beside her was puzzled, unable to comprehend a world where everything was either cursing or beating, while Nasir listening nearby was longing, his hand swiftly writing.

Hill in the Floating Castle wore a helpless expression as he listened to Celene’s mad laughter.

”Ah, ah, ah, hahahaha~” The Maiden of the Moon swayed left and right on her crescent chair, ”Shaer, you, in the future, will have a follower capable of confronting Ambori directly!

Shouldn’t you make him your Chosen?

Such an interesting thing~ I really, really want to see!”

”What’s wrong with that?” Lansendel was very satisfied with Nasir’s method, ”Instead of settling scores afterwards, it’s best to vent the anger at the moment!”

A hint of indecision seemed to flicker on Shaer’s expressionless face.

Hill’s eyes slightly widened... She seemed genuinely to be considering whether to make Nasir her Chosen.
