Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 531: Chapter 330 The Goddess of the Earth’s Joyful Sigh

The gods faded away outside the hall.

William walked over and said, ”Are you going back to Saral, Hill?”

”Of course, I will go back.” Hill couldn’t help but smile. He was well aware of who was asking this question.

”Don’t forget to check on Adrian. He’s been worried about you. When I came over this time, he also asked me to bring a message, hoping you won’t leave without saying a word like Master Fran did.”

Hill nodded, ”I will definitely go see him. I’ll leave after the world upgrades.”

William suddenly laughed, ”By that time, the Star Gate should be built. You should check out those troubled worlds. I think the Undead Tribe would be delighted to see you.”

”I’ll consider it.” Hill genuinely contemplated the idea, ”Those worlds, no matter how fallen, have areas stronger than ours, with plenty of high-level spells and alchemy knowledge.

If it’s an intact world, I might not be able to acquire so much knowledge related to the magic system!

In those worlds, the mages still adopt the Magic Tower inheritance model! All knowledge is circulated only within their own academic system.

And mages, unless it’s truly the end of the world, their bottom lines are not easily broken.”

William looked at Hill, whose eyes were gleaming with excitement, ”Does Adrian feel the same? I still need him for now!”

”Uncle Adrian won’t be leaving anytime soon.” Hill calmed down, ”You might return to the starry sky, and he’ll still be serving as the City Lord!”

William chuckled, ”You know Adrian best, that reassures me. Until next time, Hill.”

William’s figure dissipated directly into the wind. To return to Saral, he didn’t need to walk slowly himself. For the King of Saral, returning home was merely a targeted teleportation.

Hill found his tone a bit odd, but didn’t think much of it. Agleya was already eager to return to the World Tree.

No matter how close the relationship between the Sea God and Hill, without the Earth Bear or Hill accompanying her, she still couldn’t enter the Ring Mountain.

Agleya quickly achieved her goal; the World Tree doted on her greatly and allowed her to see the Law Line at the world’s center once more.

Contented, Agleya returned to the Divine Kingdom. The God of Time and Space had already delivered the resource list to her temple in Central City; she needed to prepare.

Hill thought it over. All he had to do was wait now, so he planned to take this time to handle matters on Saral’s side.

Recently, Haiweirsen and Ihab had started training Aurelio, focusing on both intelligence and physical strength.

While they found it perfectly normal, Hill would turn and run at the sight of it. They genuinely wanted to cultivate a versatile Clan Leader with Haiweirsen’s managerial skills and Ihab’s formidable strength.

But Aurelio felt he was going insane and always wanted to drag Rahil into the mess.

Hill felt he should leave quickly.

He suspected Haiweirsen was considering that he and his brother might follow the Goddess of the Earth to her Divine Kingdom when the time came. Thus, in the future, Earth Bear’s daily affairs would need Aurelio, the first heir, to handle.

No title of Clan Leader but having to do all the work—it was certain that Aurelio wouldn’t like it.

Hill wouldn’t endure the suffering with him. He found a good excuse and quickly left. Otherwise, sooner or later, Haiweirsen would turn his attention to Hill due to Aurelio’s laziness.

Hill decided to head to Central City first.

”Long time no see, Uncle Adrian.” Seeing Adrian daydreaming in the study, Hill floated outside the window and knocked. Both William and Adrian had never revoked Hill’s various permissions.

He almost effortlessly flew into this well-developed city.

”Hill!” Adrian quickly stood up, ”You’re finally back!”

Facing Adrian’s concern, Hill could only slowly recount the events of the past few years. Though he didn’t find it particularly grueling, seeing Adrian’s sorrow made him somewhat understand that the profession of a mage entailed many mental dangers but seldom physical harm.

So Hill straightforwardly showed Adrian what the bear’s power meant.

Watching Hill easily crush a Demi-God Artifact fragment, Adrian quickly withdrew all his sadness.

He knew Hill was here to say goodbye. Although it was a bit sad, Adrian, already a legend, believed he could wait for Hill’s return.

In his heart, this was just a brief separation. Adrian acted very calm; he simply disliked farewells without a proper goodbye.

After spending a few days with Adrian and telling him in detail what transpired at the Pantheon Meeting, Hill left.

He had to return to the valley to handle other matters.

The Elemental Spirits had long been mentally prepared. They had no regrets since no place was unreachable for the Elemental Realm.

Wherever Hill went, he could summon them.

However, many Elemental Spirits would likely choose to return to the Elemental Realm after Hill temporarily left this world.

This included the Wind Element Kais, who planned to move his family to the Elemental Realm and claim some territory.

In Hill’s Domain, a golden oak tree stood at the edge of the valley again. The World Tree had reclaimed this fragment.

While the valley center was Agleya’s domain, the oak tree chose to stand against the mountain on the innermost side of the valley.

The Wood Element and some Earth Elementals, who loved the scent of the earth, moved in without hesitation.

However, the lords intended to return to the Elemental Realm.

Hill’s valley, regardless of his presence, unless the world collapsed again, wouldn’t see anyone dare to cause trouble.

So he easily gathered the valley’s fruits and meats and conducted many interesting experiments in the Alchemy Laboratory.

After enduring hardship for so long, he almost forgot how blissful the old days were.

Hill cheerfully awaited the Goddess of the Earth’s revival.

Hill initially thought that the awakening of the Goddess of the Earth might bring about a more intense tremor than the appearance of the World Tree.

However, the Goddess emerged silently. If not for the golden light and drizzling golden rain wafting in the sky, no one might have known that the Goddess of the Earth had reappeared in this world.

The world offered blessings not only for Her millions of years of dedication but also for Her passionate yet selfless love for this world.

Standing on the terrace, bathed in the golden rain, Hill couldn’t help but weep.

Even though Haiweirsen said a part of his soul belonged to the Goddess of the Earth, Hill had never felt anything, always a bit skeptical.

But now, he finally believed.

That bittersweet, mixed feeling did not belong to him, but it also faded quickly—just a wisp of sentiment from deep within the soul.

Appearing in the sky, the towering figure of the Goddess of the Earth gently sighed, ”I’m back, my Teraxil.”

Although enormous, her floating hair, graceful form adorned in a plain yellow dress, and the gentle, loving smile on her beautiful face caused no fear among those who saw her. Instead, they smiled with her from the heartfelt joy.

As the Goddess of the Earth’s figure disappeared into the horizon, Hill gave Srei a few parting words before setting off toward the northern wilderness.

This time, he truly didn’t know when he would return home.

Flying in the sky, Hill couldn’t help but look back longingly.

Passing over the wild ocean again, Hill saw countless powerful sea monsters swimming toward a massive whirlpool suffused with Agleya’s Divine Power.

Agleya was following tradition, having her subdued subordinates build her Main Temple.

Even if it’s slower than doing it herself, it was a necessary trial. She needed to select the priests for her temple from among these sea monsters.

Hill smiled contentedly; Agleya had become a very mature deity.

When Hill went to deliver gifts to the Crystal Flower, Yunifrola seemed wary of Agleya’s presence. She had no plans of becoming a deity but didn’t want to be controlled by one either.

Hill could only reassure her that Agleya knew about her Crystal Flower bloodline and wouldn’t harm her.

Yet Yunifrola remained cautious, believing that even blood-related fathers and sons could turn against each other, let alone those without blood ties, who might inevitably part ways.

Hill could only watch helplessly as she made up her mind. The Crystal Flower vowed to pledge allegiance to the Goddess of the Earth if Agleya ever attacked her home.

Flying towards the Ring Mountain, Hill still felt a sense of melancholy. Although he didn’t think Agleya would become a stranger to him, even such thoughts made Hill feel uncomfortable.

However, to his disappointment, both Haiweirsen and Ihab were not in the Ring Mountain, and he couldn’t bid them a formal farewell.

Aurelio told Hill with a face full of resentment, ”The Clan Leader and my dad followed the World Tree to meet the Goddess of the Earth. Though the Goddess had revived, trimming half of Her Divine Soul wouldn’t be easy to recover from. She’d need a long time to rest and recover. With so many tasks for the World Tree, the construction of the Divine Kingdom was entrusted to those two.

One benefit is that the Divine Kingdom of the Goddess of the Earth will only build within the World Tree. Leaving this land is impossible. If something happens, they can still call for help through the World Tree.”

Aurelio’s eyes suddenly sparkled as he looked at Hill, ”Hill, you...”

Hill took a few steps back and quickly departed, ”Since Haiweirsen isn’t here, I’ll head straight to the teleportation array. The Star Gate construction should have started; I must check it out.

This is a rare opportunity for an Alchemist!

Aurelio! Until next time!”

Without waiting for Aurelio to speak further, Hill quickly slipped away.

The God of Time and Space had firmly placed the teleportation array leading to the Star Gate in the square outside the Abyssal Gate.

Hill felt this big shot intended to directly throw unwelcome visitors into the Abyss.

When he arrived, the Undead Tribe had already spread all over the place. Hill found the noise giving him a headache.

He wondered how the gods endured it, as nearly a billion voices were discussing simultaneously.
