Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 528: Chapter 327: The Controversial Starry Sky Gate

Hill even admired the Goddess of the Silvermoon for her unique ideas, those two great deities most certainly wanted these successfully upgraded bodies.

An Elemental Body of a beginner Professional, any deity could create, but so many of them, apart from this still infant world with few gods and legends, even perfected worlds would struggle to achieve this.

Even the landowner’s house does not have that much surplus grain!

Worlds without magic such as those of the Undead Tribe, of course, they could find them as well, but not to mention whether they could recruit these Undead without giving themselves away, those worlds on the brink of destruction, where would they have the resources to create these Undead bodies!

If they had that much Elemental Energy, they would have saved themselves long ago.

Secondly, what they needed were the souls of the Undead who were already well-adapted to the Elemental Bodies.

Coron and the Great World Tree stepped forward together clearly for these bodies and the practiced Undead, otherwise why adopt such a humbly pleading tone.

The God of Time and Space and the Sun God were discussing the feasibility of this issue, while the Goddess of the Silvermoon was picking faults.

Actually, everyone understood that those two, being from the Kind Alignment, would doubtlessly offer sufficient compensation.

What they needed to consider was whether this compensation aligned with the interests of the deities of this world, or whether they could negotiate for more, those two were subtly haggling over the price.

But the Goddess of the Silvermoon was simply not pleased, she did not like the way the World Tree spoke, she thought the benefits to be offered should be laid out first before talking, if not suitable, simply go their separate ways.

The World Tree was left speechless by the Goddess of the Silvermoon, falling silent for a few minutes before reorganizing his language, ”I am part of this world too! How could I possibly sacrifice the interests of this world!”

The Goddess of the Silvermoon curled her lip: ”Isn’t your main body a branch of that Cosmic World Tree? Who knows if you would prioritize Its wishes first.”

”Great Goddess of the Silvermoon, please do not torment a Divine Artifact that is incapable of doing anything,” the World Tree said coldly, ”I couldn’t possibly decide such a significant matter on my own.”

Only after the World Tree invoked the authority of its master, the Goddess of the Earth, did the Goddess of the Silvermoon finally quiet down, she wasn’t mad enough to betray a companion she had lived with for hundreds of thousands of years.

The World Tree was silent for a while, probably reorganizing his language, Hill quietly shed a tear of sympathy in the depths of his heart for Him, sensing the World Tree had become somewhat confused in thought.

”Firstly, regarding the concentration of elemental energy in the world, to a certain extent, to ensure the livelihood of mortals, the Goddess of the Earth does not intend to return to the old days.

However, to compensate for the resources spent creating these Elemental Bodies, the two deities are willing to supplement from their own resources, adding another layer on top. Eventually, it will be scattered randomly across this world.”

The Crystal Ball floated up and down in the air: ”Wait until I have finished speaking, then share your thoughts!”

Seeing that the eager deities all stopped their movements, He continued: ”Of course, as compensation, the two of them will also place some resources and minerals in the North wilderness and the sea that are not found in this world.

The Northern wilderness is the realm of the Goddess of the Earth, open to the whole world; anyone can come to find the resources they desire, but they must not be greedy or cause extinction through mining, or they will be cursed by the Goddess of the Earth.”

William stirred, holding back his desire to ask questions, Hill knew he wanted to know where the Northern wilderness began.

His Saral still aimed to expand further North!

”These resources are equivalent in value to the depletion of the Undead bodies. This was secured by the Goddess of the Earth, originally those two only planned to count the elemental depletion as double the Elemental Ore.

But with the God of Time and Space present, the Goddess thought, for these powerful deities who can travel through countless universes, Elemental Ore could be the least valuable thing.

Next, those two agreed to allow the deities to spread their Name of God and Divinity in those worlds, to compete with the original deities of those worlds for believers.

In our world, the Human Race is, after all, a bit too scarce, and the opportunity to become a god through faith is too limited, as is the chance to expand one’s Divinity.

But in those worlds, where even Demons can be summoned, there’s certainly a sufficient human population, at the very least, no fewer than the Undead.”

What they lack is the protection of deities.

The deities of those worlds probably haven’t seen the Kind Alignment in a while; to find one Neutral is impressive enough.

In our world, deities who dabble in faith are rare; other worlds might have more of them.

So they basically follow their world toward the path to destruction; those that are surviving well, in the end, are likely to either go to Hell or the Abyss.

If it’s just about spreading the name to enhance Divine Power, I believe you all would be willing, wouldn’t you?

Not accepting faith doesn’t mean one does not desire to spread their influence.”

The deities no longer said anything, effectively conceding; even deities who do not take faith still wish to increase their influence.

Whether through respect and love or through hatred and fear, it is a method by which deities can increase their Divine Power; even mere verbal acknowledgment is a form of recognition for deities.

But the choice of path determines whether a deity is kind or evil.

All the deities of this world feel trepidation towards the path of evil, and most still choose to follow the normal route. However, the number of humans in this world is too small.

Moreover, neither do the gods have any interest in walking the path of faith over a short period. Glancing sideways at the unfortunate God of Nobility, that little bit of inclination gets thoroughly extinguished—the poison of faith is genuinely terrifying.

They haven’t yet reached the dead-end where there is not even a sliver of space for advancement left.

Going to a world oppressed by evil to save its people indeed seems like a decent way out.

But the prerequisite is that the Undead Tribe would go in their name, not as a complete Clan of the God of Time and Space.

Most eyes turned toward the God of Time and Space, who seemed lost in thought.

”I don’t mind letting the Undead Tribe become the Clan of other deities,” said the God of Time and Space calmly, ”but these undead are all controlled under my Divine Artifact, and that will never change.

I summoned them from their world and must forever shoulder the responsibility of protecting them.

Moreover, the resources needed for the transfer of professions can only come from you.

One more thing, I have no intention of publicizing the world coordinates of the Undead Tribe as mentioned by the Goddess of the Silvermoon.

In worlds without magic, there are many throughout the universe, no need to know any news from me.”

The Goddess of the Silvermoon gently caressed her long hair, seemingly unconcerned as she looked around nonchalantly, totally indifferent to the God of Time and Space’s serious negation of what she had just said.

”Transfer of profession? Are you referring to priests?” interjected the God of Knowledge suddenly, ”What about the other three professions? Is Magician limited to only Time and Space?”

”Their professions are Mage and Knight, but their talents belong to Time and Space. To wash off the imprint of Space-Time Magic from their Elemental Bodies and then transfer them to other deities requires a significant price,” said the God of Time and Space nonchalantly. ”If you’re willing to have your own faction’s Undead Tribe start from the lowest level, that would save quite a lot of resources.

However, I believe the world can’t wait that long for its advancement.

Choose for yourselves whether to expend a great deal of resources or to opt for a slower time.”

The deities all fell silent; these matters, once understood, would suffice. When they returned home, they could consider the pros and cons. Deities interested in further discussions would naturally seek out the God of Time and Space later.

The God of Nobility helplessly moved a bit, his face carrying a hint of bitterness. He guessed he would have to be first to make an approach, no matter the cost, he would have to pay it.

Otherwise, to fall from being one of the most powerful figures among the divine to the very bottom, he couldn’t quite bear it.

The Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon didn’t particularly care about this matter. They genuinely had no pursuit in this regard; when the time came for the world to advance, they would simply ascend along with it.

Hill felt that Agleya was somewhat tempted. She might not be considering the issue of Divine Power growth, but she would certainly be eager to have her magnificent name of the Sea God spread across all worlds.

”How will the Undead Tribe get there?” William suddenly asked, ”The two deities hardly seem to have the time to keep sending the Undead Tribe to different worlds, do they?”

”Hence the two deities wish to construct a Star Gate in this world,” said the World Tree gravely, ”This matter requires a decision from all of you.

Once the Star Gate is established, it’s highly likely that races such as Humans, Elves, and Dwarves from other worlds would come here.

Although their upper limits would be suppressed in this world, and excessively powerful beings simply cannot enter, having a low power level doesn’t mean low capability.”

The deities had yet to react, but the Mage faction at the back had already begun to stir.

”For now, the Star Gate will only connect to that chaotic universe. The worlds there have mostly reached a dead-end,” said the World Tree, knowing what the Mages were thinking and stated bluntly, ”You may go, but it isn’t necessarily safer than the path of the stars. The level of that universe’s worlds is even higher than what ours will be after the ascension.

Even in that place, the Undead Tribe’s Elemental Bodies could advance to become Legendary beings who can’t see the Law Lines.

Even with many restrictions, their numbers couldn’t possibly be small.

You must understand, a world that requires so many Legendary beings to save must be extremely dangerous.

If it weren’t for the Undead Tribe using Soul Projection, even the two mighty deities wouldn’t dare utilize their existence.

Your souls, whether to a devil or a demon, or even an Evil God, would all be fine prey.”

”It’s all an adventure,” Draculus spoke slowly, ”It’s up to each to choose. I think, many Legendary Mages would probably find even demons, which are easily crushed by us, simpler to deal with than the incomprehensible starry sky!

Besides, what those people see are demons being killed by us with ease, not the direct obliteration by the Mage Association over tens of thousands of years.

Mages are stubborn and will heed no advice.”

”The Star Gate hasn’t even been decided on, and it might already be built!” said the God of Time and Space coldly, ”Don’t start celebrating too early.”

Compared to the Mages who were filled with anticipation for the Star Gate, the gods seemed less willing, and their expressions were quite grim.
