Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 524: Chapter 323 Agleya’s View on Love

Haiweirsen looked at Hill. This usually steady child rarely showed such a dumbfounded expression, ”Although it was a bit bad to use the Moon Elf, I really wanted to marry her back then.

She was really a beautiful bear. I never thought that a Druid who failed to transform could wake up one day.

If she hadn’t suddenly recovered her memory in shock when Virginia was born, I would have really considered bringing her and her daughter back.

But you know the preferences of the Moon Elf. If she likes you, she wouldn’t mind being with an Earth Bear, but she didn’t like my bear form unless I could keep a human shape forever.

But I am a bear! I would never compromise to her preference.

However, looking back, I might have thought too much about things beyond emotions when I chose to be with her, so I got my retribution.

Virginia might be the most like the Goddess of the Hunt among the Moon Elves.”

Hill shook his head, trying to shake out all the water from his brain. Actually, Haiweirsen really wanted to spend his life with that Moon Elf Druid. He saw this in his memory.

But this guy liked to avoid the important and dwell on the trivial. Probably afraid that Hill would think what he did wasn’t kind enough.

However, Haiweirsen probably only saw that Hill belonged to the Kind Alignment, forgetting that he was a child raised by a human noble family. As long as choosing a wife with an agenda didn’t harm the other party, Hill didn’t think this counted as a sin.

Hill glanced at Ihab, who had already plunged into the water and was playing happily. It seemed that to be a clan leader, you didn’t need the strongest strength, but you had to have sufficient skills.

”But I’m so much younger than Aurelio.” Hill couldn’t help but ask, ”How is that possible?”

”The soul of the Goddess of the Earth wasn’t shattered into pieces; some fragments drifted outside, perhaps even among the stars.” Haiweirsen sighed lightly, ”Your soul shard was really small. Otherwise, the Goddess of the Silvermoon would have pieced it back into the Mother Earth’s divine soul.

We suspected that your shard left with Virginia to absorb the fragments over there. Didn’t those elves strip the Wood Law from the Law of the Earth?

The Wood Law contains the breath of life. It probably took away many small fragments.

Although you couldn’t reincarnate there, you grew considerably.

Until your mother was born, it was your best chance.

It’s incredible that a pure human would be born in the Elf Imperial City.

I guess she almost awakened the Crystal Flower bloodline, which would have been fatal.

To survive, the Crystal Flower bloodline was neutralized by the other three tribes, leaving only the Spirit of the Earth bloodline.

Even with just this, it was enough, so you followed her to the human world.

It was really lucky that you were born and survived. After all, that was just a fragment, even if it belonged to a deity once.

I suspect that you fused with another soul before you were born.

Humans are different from us Magical Beast Race. Their infants can be miscarried, even after the soul has formed.

A soul fire like that is clean and blank. If you encountered it before it dissipated, you could easily fuse it into a nearly complete soul.

Otherwise, it would have been difficult for you to be born. You would have waited in the bloodline for a long time.”

Hill calmly thought, no, that half soul wasn’t that smart or lucky; I delivered myself.

Haiweirsen didn’t say much about many things, but Hill pieced together what Crystal Flower Yuniflora and he had said and understood most of it.

Hill was destined to come from Melanie’s womb. Only she had all kinds of bloodlines, which perfectly offset each other in the end.

Although she only retained the human bloodline, it carried various latent genes.

Hill couldn’t help but smile, patting the big old tree beside him, feeling its joyful laughter, and asked his inner doubts, ”Is the World Tree Artifact the manifestation of this world’s laws?”

”How could the manifestation of the laws be physical?” Haiweirsen laughed, ”It was a gift from the World Tree in the universe to the Goddess of the Earth.

Back when this world was nearly destroyed, didn’t the Goddess of the Earth support the world directly with it?

At that time, She swallowed the manifested core law.

Otherwise, how could the dwarves and elves only take away so little law? Most were contained in the world’s core by Her.

Only the Law of the Earth was particularly unstable due to the Goddess’s severe injury, which allowed them to succeed.”

Hill nodded silently. Even though Haiweirsen spoke lightly about it now, at that time, sorrow and anger couldn’t describe the Earth Bear’s state.

”It’s all in the past.” Hill gently comforted Haiweirsen, ”The Goddess of the Earth will soon awaken.”

”Yes, indeed!” Haiweirsen’s tone contained a hint of disbelief.

”Humans are quite nice,” Agleya suddenly chimed in, ”And those Undead Tribe are pretty formidable too.”

”Don’t accept humans’ faith!” Haiweirsen hurriedly warned the Little Sea God, ”Their faith can change and disappear, very terrifying.

The Goddess’s blessings were good for humans as long as the divine brought them benefits.

But for deities, it was really troublesome. A slight mistake and it would be over.

I’ve been observing that God of Nobility. At first, he was quite wise, and I had smooth dealings with him.

Unfortunately, he publicly accepted human faith to become a deity, and he completely changed.

Most of the time, he was normal, but occasionally it was like his mind suddenly broke.

When he formally ascended to the starry sky, something was already off. Fortunately, he set human safety as his bottom line. Whenever something endangered this, he would suddenly become clear-headed.

Even though he has cut himself in half now and looks pretty normal, he might turn into a fool again in a few millennia.

Agleya is so adorable. Don’t learn from him.”

”Who taught him to become a deity?” Hill asked curiously. Haiweirsen wouldn’t teach the God of Nobility this.

”Actually, you can’t blame him.” Haiweirsen thought for a moment, ”At that time, he was the King, the strongest knight among humans, but life had its limits.

Meanwhile, the one he suppressed, the hammer-wielding one, was being brought by the dwarves to become a deity.

He was facing death while his enemy was on the verge of immortality. Moreover, many of his subjects were enticed by the powerful.

Even the worst priest was still a Professional!

When he asked me back then, how could I know? I could only tell him that breaking the limits of strength to become a demigod would let him live long.

But I didn’t understand how humans broke their limits.

In the end, he turned to the elves. Those guys would teach him but didn’t explain clearly. They certainly knew the drawbacks of faith deities.

Sometimes, you could only watch as he strayed further.”

”Goddess of Love...” Hill had always wondered about the relationship between those two.

”That little girl...” Haiweirsen’s tone changed, ”The God of Nobility guy is really a fool destined to be single.

He liked Moon Elves, not female knights who killed with shields.

He had a tough childhood, saved by a Moon Elf.

That foolish group, while chaotic in their actions, often saved lives along the way.

Especially during hunts, they habitually killed things that harmed humans first.

The God of Nobility had always admired those elegant, light-footed, beautiful Moon Elves since childhood.

But after he chose to become the leader of humans, he gave up the dream of marrying an elf wife. He made many mistakes, but he was wise in maintaining human independence.

Regardless of love, if his wife was a Moon Elf, humans would only become elven vassals. The power gap was too vast.

The Goddess of Love was a female knight who later followed him. She became a human deity due to her fearless love. You should understand how much she sacrificed for the God of Nobility over centuries and millennia.

The God of Nobility never accepted her, but he treated her well.

How to say it? Love like a moth to a flame might not be accepted, but it certainly moved him.

I never thought they would entangle for hundreds of thousands of years.

This time, the Goddess of Love is likely to get her wish.”

Hill thought blankly, the God of Nobility was indeed principled. Although a stubborn jerk, he was upright in this aspect.

And the Goddess of Love, was she the typical case of persevering until gaining everything?

Seeing Agleya, who was curious, Hill was startled, ”Agleya? What do you think of this story?”

”The Goddess of Love’s power wasn’t strong enough!” The Sea God analyzed seriously, ”If she was strong enough, she could have defeated the God of Nobility long ago and brought him home.

No Moon Elf could compete for her man. Kill all the ones who dared come!”

Haiweirsen turned over, giving Hill a meaningful look, as if saying: Do you really teach kids to think like this?

Hill held his breath, signaling frantically with his eyes: This had nothing to do with him. Agleya was inherently a chaos-aligned goddess. The Sea Goddess having a bit of a predatory nature was normal, wasn’t it?

Although it might be unfair to Agleya’s future lover, Hill preferred her to have this personality.

Seeing Hill truly say nothing, Haiweirsen couldn’t help but speak, ”If he still doesn’t like Agleya, why not find another? There are so many males. The next one might be better.”

Agleya tilted her head, thought for a moment, and then nodded, ”That makes sense. If he doesn’t want to follow me after being defeated, I’ll find a better one.”

”Excellent!” Haiweirsen sat up, clapping his two huge paws, ”Children of mine should be so free-spirited!”

Inwardly, Hill scoffed, ”The one I raised is named Virginia.”
