Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 138: Chapter 95: Checking in at the Matchmaking Corner, Unlocking the Sharpshooter

People’s Park is huge, and first-time visitors easily lose their way wandering around.

Li Younan and his group weren’t in a rush; they strolled leisurely along with the crowd.

There were outdoor tea houses, tourists trying out boating, kids feeding ducks by the lake, and laid-back local Chengdu folks chatting and walking, all along the way.

Pretty nice.

Up ahead, the matchmaking corner came into view, and the crowd thickened a bit.

From the direction they approached, they first saw the men’s matchmaking profiles.

Mom teased from the side, ”Xiaolan, let’s see if there’s anyone suitable for you.”

Xiaolan stomped her feet in frustration, ”Auntie!”

Li Younan slowly sauntered over to the profiles, and after reading them, his expression turned a bit quirky.

Then Mom began browsing too, and after a while, she stopped teasing Xiaolan.

How should I put it...it’s hard to comment.

The men who posted their profiles here mostly have significant shortcomings.

For example, they generally have low educational backgrounds, some are bald, some are only 1.6 meters tall, and in terms of age, they’re mostly bachelors left over from around 1980.

However, everyone is quite honest, and they don’t have high requirements for the other party, with many just asking for things like a complete family and good health, which aren’t really requirements.

Lu Xiaolan pursed her lips and looked at Mom, saying, ”Auntie?”

Mom chuckled, ”I want another of that ice cream we had earlier; let’s buy it when we head out later.”

Li Younan casually looked through seven or eight profiles and decided to quicken his pace to see the women’s section.

The women’s profiles were printed on pink paper, mostly without photos.

Seeing the information these girls listed, Li Younan couldn’t help but click his tongue.

Compared to the bachelors’ profiles, it’s clear that most of the men here have a hard time finding a partner in real life. In contrast, the women’s profiles tell another story.

”Born in 1993, parents both retired, working at a state-owned enterprise with an annual income of over 200,000 yuan.”

”Born in 1995, currently a certified middle school teacher, owns two properties in Chengdu.”

”Born in 1998, has a civil servant career, rated 7 in beauty, standard figure, hobbies include tennis and swimming.”

Li Younan understood... the men here aren’t in great shape, making it hard for others to take notice, while the women seem to be quite the opposite. The reason they remain single is probably because they don’t find many suitable matches in their daily lives... or perhaps their work or living environments don’t expose them to potential partners.

Not only was Li Younan surprised, but Lu Xiaolan behind him was also taken aback.

She softly read a profile she was viewing: ”This lady is a medical master’s degree holder, unable to meet many men due to her long-term research environment.”

She blinked and said to Mom next to her, ”Auntie, I feel like the women here have really good conditions.”

Suddenly realizing something, she said with some disbelief, ”With such good conditions, they still need to match-make. Does that mean I will really need to do this in the future?”

This made Li Younan and Mom burst into laughter.

Mom slowly walked over next to Li Younan, looked at the profile he was viewing, and said half-jokingly, ”I just looked at those men’s matchmaking profiles and then at these girls’ information.”

She blinked, ”If you put your profile here, I’m sure many people would contact you!”

Li Younan’s eyelid twitched, and he replied irritably, ”Then I’ll write: just got unemployed, a young loafer waiting at home. How about that?”

”Hehe, no problem, just put up a photo!”

”Ha...”

The mother and son were chatting happily when unexpectedly, someone had already set eyes on Li Younan.

By now, he had browsed 19 profiles, and one more would complete his task.

But the next one required him to turn the corner.

Unexpectedly, just as he turned, a lively auntie stood in front of him, ”Young man, still single, huh? I’ve been watching you for a while now. The one you just looked at is my daughter. What do you think? Want to get acquainted?”

Li Younan was stunned, ”Uh, no need for now.”

The auntie’s expression shifted slightly, gave a small sigh, but she persisted, ”No problem, just get to know her. Maybe you’ll hit it off, or just make a friend.”

Li Younan’s mom joined in from the side, ”Exactly, young man, at least add her on WeChat. Her folks seem to really like you.”

Li Younan couldn’t help but roll his eyes at his mom.

He said, ”Auntie, sorry, I’m just here for a stroll.”

The auntie wasn’t giving up, ”Even on a stroll, you can at least meet someone.”

But seeing no interest at all from Li Younan, she finally stopped insisting.

But surprise struck when, just after shaking off that auntie, another one blocked his way.

This auntie spoke with a thick Chengdu accent, ”Young man, young man, my girl, she’s just over there, go have a look, will ya? I forced her to come, she’s pretty nice, really matches you!”

Li Younan’s mouth twitched a bit. He looked around, seeing plenty of young folks passing by, also browsing the profiles...

Yet somehow, these aunties targeted him.

This was truly...

When mingling with peers or even those a bit younger, Li Younan handled himself well, but facing these aunties’ unconventional approaches, he found it hard to cope.
