Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 121: Chapter 91: Comic Con Turmoil: Cousin’s Dimensional Strike

The five of them took the elevator up together, then walked through a long corridor before finally reaching the anime exhibition hall.

There was a ticket booth at the door. Xu Liya jogged over, bought tickets for Li Younan and Lu Xiaolan, and then quickly ran back to hand them to Li Younan.

Little Annie and the long-haired guy didn’t talk much, only occasionally exchanging a few words with Xu Liya.

At this moment, many cosers with strange costumes could already be seen wandering around.

After entering, a wave of warm air mixed with noisy human voices hit them.

The exhibition center was enormous, and under the silver-gray roof, there were masses of people everywhere.

All they could see were people, wearing all sorts of outfits.

A girl with ice blue long hair, likely portraying some character, brushed past a person with several fake spider legs attached.

On the other side, a person dressed as the black myth little monkey held a glowing gold hoop staff, tapping it on a large screen displaying a map of Chengdu. The map shattered, turning into a pile of glowing gold sands bird patterns.

A person with heavy metal wings squeezed past someone with wide ancient garment sleeves.

The sounds were chaotic.

On the left stage, loud Japanese music was playing, while on the right, someone’s phone blared ”Yijianmei.”

In the open space in the middle, the music ”Gokuraku Jodo” suddenly started, and several girls in puffy skirts began twirling. Following them was a person in a Pikachu costume jumping around, and an old man with a cane and a white beard, likely Master Roshi, twisting his waist.

The doujin area was even more crowded, with the smell of freshly printed ink in the air, and the long tables on both sides were piled with shiny badges and particularly thick self-made books.

Someone handed Li Younan a tablet to try a game, which featured a boy with a bronze mask moving, and the background music sounded like an old bianzhong added with electronic beats.

Li Younan played for a bit before returning it to the person, then started to watch the items there with interest.

Moreover, all sorts of cosplay characters posed for photos.

Often, several cosers would cluster around a single photographer.

Li Younan stopped walking. Since he had things to do and couldn’t spend too much time hanging around, he urged, ”Xiaolan, Xu Liya, let me take some photos of you. After that, I have to leave.”

Of course, Xu Liya and Lu Xiaolan had no objections, and they nodded.

The guy and Annie felt a bit awkward.

They were just poor students who couldn’t afford to hire a photographer. Taking photos wasn’t really in their plans initially.

Xu Liya hesitated for a moment, looked at Li Younan, but before she could say anything, she heard Li Younan laughingly say to the two, ”If you don’t mind, I can take some photos of you as well.”

In such scenes, a photographer holds a very high status.

Those who have been in the otaku circle for a long time have already learned to judge a photographer’s technical skills by their equipment.

Li Younan’s not-so-small photography bag contained at least two lenses, and the camera in his hands was clearly a high-end model. In short... very professional.

The long-haired guy looked a bit embarrassed, having just said something impolite to Li Younan. Now, with Li Younan offering this, his expression was a bit complicated, his gaze evasive, and he eventually smiled shyly.

To Li Younan, a few thoughtless words from others were naturally of no concern. In his view, whether it’s Xu Liya or a few of his friends, they are all just kids, siblings who have just graduated high school, so there’s no need to be harsh on them.

Li Younan first used a regular lens to take some photos of them, then switched to a telephoto lens to prepare for some shots with a different ambiance. This process didn’t take too long.

After the shoot, everyone gathered to look at the raw photos on Li Younan’s camera.

Although Xu Liya didn’t understand photography, she knew what looked beautiful.

She asked Li Younan, ”Brother Li, can I flip through the photos myself?”

Li Younan said yes.

She then cradled the camera, sat on the ground, zoomed in on the photos, and looked at them seriously, her smile growing wider.

She then looked up, pointed, and told Lu Xiaolan, ”Xiaolan, you look the best in these. Your makeup is really fantastic.”

It was Lu Xiaolan’s first time wearing ACG costumes. She was a bit nervous but also a little excited. Hearing Xu Liya praise her, she giggled foolishly twice.

Annie beside her kept saying, ”Don’t forget to send me the photos.”

Xu Liya stood up, returned the camera to Li Younan, and said, ”Thanks, Brother Li. When you’re done, let me treat you all to a meal.”

Li Younan took back the camera, ”As long as you’re satisfied, that’s enough.”

Not every coser had a personal photographer, of course.

With the camera in hand, it wasn’t uncommon for many random cosers, even some stunning beauties, to approach him and say, ”Hey handsome, could you take a photo of us?”

Some beauties would even voluntarily offer their WeChat contacts.

Seeing this, Lu Xiaolan’s gaze became somewhat vigilant.

Li Younan checked the time and casually took photos of a few cosers.

When those beauties asked for his WeChat, claiming it would be easier for them to receive the photos, Li Younan casually pointed to Xu Liya’s long-haired male friend and said, ”Just add him, and I’ll send the photos to him to pass on to you.”

The female cosers were immediately filled with disappointment upon hearing this.
