Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 129: Chapter 93: Hardcore Renovation Time: Fans Surge!

Lu Xiaolan said angrily, ”So many people liked that comment, and there are lots of replies. They’re all mocking you, Cousin!”

Li Younan was completely focused on planning in his head. Hearing Lu Xiaolan’s constant chatter, he glanced at her and smiled nonchalantly: ”It’s okay, just leave those comments there. Oh, right, take a screenshot and save all those mocking negative comments.”

”Huh? Is that all?”

”Yeah, just ignore them.”

Oh, Lu Xiaolan responded, a bit dejectedly.

The time was about right, and the excavator operator arrived punctually.

Then, under Li Younan’s guidance, the project work began once more.

Since they had already done the basics yesterday, this morning it only took less than two hours to finish what needed to be done.

Afterwards, Li Younan directed the operator to dig water routes, including the clean water, outflow, and sewage and drainage systems, all of which Younan had replanned. Of course, during this process, he filmed the videos one by one.

Digging water routes with an excavator is much more efficient than doing it manually, which would take several weeks. But with an excavator, it can be done in one day at most.

After noon, having eaten, Li Younan finally planned to start live streaming.

He sat on the threshold of the main room, while Lu Xiaolan set up the phone on a stand, turned on the live stream, and pointed the camera at Li Younan.

This was Li Younan’s first live stream. To be honest, he was a little bit nervous and excited, but his mood was relatively calm. After all, the live stream content was straightforward; there was no need for any particular performance or display.

Perhaps because it was his first live stream, the system surprisingly pushed a lot of traffic to him quickly.

Within a few minutes of starting, dozens of people flooded in, all of whom had liked his videos before, and the bullet screen comments started rolling fast.

”Hey, Li Younan, little brother, why are you in the countryside?”

Since Li Younan couldn’t see the bullet comments, Lu Xiaolan excitedly shouted, ”Cousin, cousin, lots of people are coming in. Do you want me to read the comments to you?”

Li Younan shook his head and said, ”No need.”

Then he pulled out his phone and entered the live stream with a new account, so he could see the comments.

This first wave of traffic was substantial, consisting of his true fans. He briefly explained what he was going to do to the camera, and the comments were full of praise for his voice.

However, this situation didn’t last long.

As the first wave of traffic was retained well, the algorithm seemingly increased the recommended flow, and even more people streamed into the live room. Before long, the live room attendance broke into the hundreds.

Reality is different from online novels. In online novels, when someone streams live, it often garners thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of views. But in reality, if you can have a few hundred people watching your live stream at once, it’s already impressive.

This may be an insignificant amount of traffic for gaming streamers, but for an outdoor stream, it’s already quite rare.

As more people joined, they gradually figured out what kind of live stream it was, and some negative comments began to emerge.

”What, doing the renovation yourself? I thought the streamer would do it personally, but they hired workers instead!”

”I get the streamer’s logic, it’s all about making money with a gimmick.”

Li Younan roughly understood that most of these viewers genuinely wanted to see him act as a bricklayer.

Of course, more people didn’t care whether Li Younan did it himself or hired workers. They were more interested in what the finished product would look like.

Watching such old house renovation videos is really relaxing.

He chuckled and stayed calm, without being stirred by these comments, patiently explaining: ”Today is the first day. We need to use heavy machinery to level the slope at the back, and the water routes should definitely be dug using machines.”

Bullet screen comments popped up continuously, with some people clearly there to provoke, which made Lu Xiaolan angry: ”Cousin, I want to mute these people!”

Then, some comments started to criticize Lu Xiaolan instead.

”Who is this? Why is this assistant so unprofessional?”

”What’s the assistant making all this noise for?”

A burst of criticism made Lu Xiaolan straighten her neck in shock, afraid to speak again.

This wave of traffic didn’t last long either.

After all, fun is the main appeal of a live stream. In the afternoon, after work resumed, in the video, Li Younan stood beside the excavator, slowly directing the operator’s work, occasionally responding to questions in the comments.

Over time, there was nothing new, leaving only a dozen or so loyal fans who stayed in the live room for a long time.

Li Younan didn’t mind, since for him, broadcasting the entire renovation process, success didn’t rely on traffic, but on doing a good job.

JK Long, who usually stayed active at night, popped into the live stream too, staying online without saying a word.

The busy first day quickly came to an end.

In the evening, the sand, stone, cement, and other materials that Li Younan ordered were delivered, piled up on the open ground in front of his grandparents’ house.

The operator also successfully completed all his tasks, digging the sewers, drainage routes, and water inlet and outlet, all directly connected to the village’s main line.

If further adjustments are needed later, manual tools will suffice.

Li Younan paid the operator the wages for these two days directly.

The grandparents made dinner, and Li Younan and Lu Xiaolan sat in the main room, eating slowly.
