Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 102: Chapter 87: Finally Acquired the Skill: Road Gauge!

Actually, Li Younan himself couldn’t really explain any tricks; most of the tricks to mastering skills are slowly understood in the process of learning. But for Li Younan, he didn’t have this process; he just knew how to do it directly.

So if you really want him to tell you a trick, he can only fumble around blindly.

Just like a normal person can’t clearly explain the trick to walking.

For Li Younan, parkour is as simple as walking.

Li Younan casually did a Webster front flip: ”As for specific tricks, I can’t really say, but one thing for sure is you can’t be afraid.”

The young guy was once again stunned; the flip seemed way too effortless.

It seemed... very simple.

At this moment, Li Younan’s attention was on the guitar, and he bent down and asked, ”Can I take a look?”

The young guy said sure, so Li Younan picked up the guitar.

He could play a bit of guitar; back in university, guitar and basketball made him quite the popular figure in his department.

However, it had been many years since he last played.

Now, with the addition of piano skills, it actually helped with the guitar because music theory is interconnected, and the improvement in sightsinging and ear training from piano skills can directly reflect on the guitar.

However, although both of these string instruments are based on the 12-tone equal temperament, there are still some differences. Without long-term focused practice on the guitar, it is still difficult to precisely find the notes for each fret.

Just as he was concentrating on the guitar, out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly saw the young guy beside him.

”Forward... as long as you’re not afraid?” the young guy mumbled to himself.

Li Younan’s eyes widened, and he looked over sharply, but it was too late to stop him...

”Splash!”

The young guy... was very brave.

Li Younan lightly touched his forehead.

...

The reason for initiating conversation with the guitar-playing young guy was partly because, as part of his task, he needed to collect performances from singers.

It wasn’t yet midnight, but if he knew someone, it would be much easier to complete the task later.

He asked the young guy, who would probably come back to busk after midnight, but for now, he needed to deal with the part of his body he fell on just now.

At this moment, Jing Chaoyi finally sent a message saying he’d landed and asked where Li Younan was.

Li Younan told him he was on Huangxing Road.

Jing Chaoyi sent back a smiling face: ”Wait for me! It’s quite a distance from the airport.”

The young guy soon managed to take care of his fall injuries.

He sent a message inviting Li Younan to hang out at a bar opened by his friend.

It was clear the other person liked making friends as well.

Li Younan had nothing to do at the moment, so he agreed.

In the afternoon, the bar hadn’t officially opened yet.

The location of this bar wasn’t very good; it was even a bit secluded.

When Li Younan walked in, the staff were cleaning.

At the center of the bar was a stage, and some musicians were messing around with their instruments, preparing for the evening.

The young guy saw Li Younan and waved at him.

Not all the band members were young people.

The lead singer was a woman in her thirties dressed very revealingly, with a striking figure.

The drummer was an older man wearing sunglasses.

Li Younan thought this guy was really impressive; after all, indoors, even without glasses, he found the lighting dim, and with those sunglasses, the drummer must be playing by feel alone.

Everyone was enthusiastic, and the young guy introduced Li Younan to everyone, also mentioning that he was a video blogger.

That immediately caught everyone’s attention.

The drummer was actually the owner of the place and had tried live streaming as well, but it didn’t go too well.

Upon hearing this, he took the initiative to start a conversation with Li Younan and even called a waiter to bring some juice over.

Compared to livestreaming, Li Younan was more inclined to talk to them about music.

After all, when it came to streaming, Li Younan felt more like an emotionless filming machine.

He would shoot all the video clips, regardless of their quality, and offload them to Brother Long.

So when people asked him about this subject, Li Younan could only stiffly say, ”The main thing is to find your own niche, create contrast, and the key is the editing; that’s the most important part.”

Everyone listened intently, nodding seriously, thinking it made a lot of sense.

After a short chat, all the band members arrived and they started preparing for the evening’s performance.

They practiced with their sheet music a few times, and then Li Younan leisurely stepped to the side, watching them play with great interest.

Music indeed has a magical power, able to bring together a group of strangers and immerse them in the same atmosphere.

Each of them played their instruments, different tones and melodies, but as long as the rhythm aligned, there was a harmonious, synchronized feel.

Everyone tapped their feet to the beat, raising their heads and exchanging understanding smiles with friends who were tapping to the same rhythm, the meaning of the smiles understood by all.

After playing for a while, during a break, the guitar-playing young guy came over to Li Younan and said, ”Could you film a video for us later as part of your travel content?”

He seemed a bit bashful when he said this, appearing slightly disingenuous with his social intentions.

Li Younan took out his phone, snapped a few shots of him, and said with a smile, ”No problem.”

He had filmed many clips of Changsha today, but as Brother Long mentioned earlier, without distinctive footage, good material could not be produced.

He could store it for now, and after visiting more places, edit it into a complete video.
