Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 117: Chapter 91: Cousin Takes Action: A Straight Guy’s Makeup Brush!

On the 5th floor, Lu Xiaolan gently knocked on the door, and Li Younan’s voice came from inside: ”Is it Xiaolan? Just come in.”

Xu Liya quickly tidied her hair and stood neatly. Lu Xiaolan couldn’t help but smile at Xu Liya’s actions and then pushed the door open. The two walked into Li Younan’s house together.

Lu Xiaolan immediately saw Li Younan in front of the computer in the living room, checking some materials prices, which was very important.

He smiled and said to Lu Xiaolan, ”Here? Bring your friend in to sit.”

Xu Liya followed Lu Xiaolan into the room, curiously looking around, when her eyes were suddenly drawn to the photography certificate on the shoe rack.

She blinked, her steps paused, unable to move.

Lu Xiaolan turned around and asked strangely, ”What’s up, Liya?”

Before she finished speaking, she also noticed the photography contest certificate on the shoe rack, her eyes lit up, and she moved closer to take a good look, seeing her cousin’s name boldly written on it.

She pointed to the certificate and looked at Xu Liya, saying, ”Xu Liya, this contest is an international major event too. How does it compare to the one your expert participated in?”

Xu Liya didn’t really understand either, so she scanned the QR code at the bottom with her phone, and a page popped up. After thinking for a moment, she sent the page to the expert and asked, ”Expert, how do you think this contest ranks?”

Unexpectedly, the expert immediately replied: ”Hey, how come you’re interested in photography contests now? This contest is definitely impressive.”

Xu Liya asked, ”Is it better than the one you participated in?”

The expert replied ambiguously: ”It’s a different focus... this one leans more towards portrait photography.”

Xu Liya squinted, didn’t reply, and put away her phone.

Lu Xiaolan saw that as soon as Xu Liya entered the room, she started typing away on her phone and asked, ”What’s up?”

Xu Liya shook her head, smiled, and said quietly, ”Nothing much, let’s get to the business.”

By this time, Li Younan was almost done, he slowly walked to the fridge, took out two bottles of soda, and handed one to Lu Xiaolan and the other to Xu Liya.

Lu Xiaolan began to introduce her classmate to Li Younan.

Li Younan smiled at the two younger girls, Xu Liya behaved very politely, sitting down like a lady.

Lu Xiaolan didn’t waste words and got straight to the point: ”Cousin, we’ve come over today to ask you a favor.”

Li Younan laughed: ”Don’t make it sound so scary. What do you mean by asking a favor? Just tell me.”

Lu Xiaolan looked at Xu Liya, who had an encouraging look in her eyes.

Lu Xiaolan then said, ”This is the thing, cousin, Xu Liya and I want to attend a comic exhibition in Chengdu tomorrow, at the International Exhibition Center over there. We... We want to ask you to take us there, didn’t you buy a car?”

As she spoke towards the end, Lu Xiaolan’s voice weakened a bit, her head lowered, only sneaking a peek at Li Younan’s expression.

Li Younan smiled, ”Is this all? Hmm, it’s not impossible...”

Lu Xiaolan and Xu Liya’s expressions immediately lit up, Lu Xiaolan said, ”Cousin, you agree?”

Li Younan glanced at her, and then knocked her head lightly, saying, ”It’s possible... But, I’m going to Chengdu with a plan, need to visit the building materials market. Hmm, let’s do this: if we go tomorrow, let’s leave early, I’ll drop you both off first, then go to the building materials market. So, I can’t confirm the return time with you.”

Driving from Anchuan to Chengdu takes only an hour or two, Li Younan originally planned to go to Chengdu anyway because some materials are more cost-effective to buy there.

Taking these two young girls along isn’t a problem.

Seeing how easily Li Younan agreed, the two girls started cheering happily, disregarding their image.

Xu Liya politely said to Li Younan, ”Brother Li, you’re so nice!” Then paused and added, ”Brother Li, do you... do you also do photography?”

Li Younan casually said, ”I just take casual shots, can’t say I’m good.”

However, the more he said this, the more Xu Liya’s impression of Li Younan became even grander in her mind.

She thought of the expert she knew, who couldn’t wait to flaunt being a photography veteran but was actually barely at a submission level, almost being fooled by him.

Unlike Lu Xiaolan’s cousin, who not only looks handsome but is also humble... Generally, it’s only these humble handsome brothers who take photos.

Xu Liya said, ”Well... Brother Li, could you take a few photos of us at that time?”

Lu Xiaolan lightly nudged Xu Liya and said, ”Didn’t cousin say he’s going to the building materials market? Don’t you know the photography expert? Just let him take our photos.”

What Xu Liya didn’t tell Lu Xiaolan was that the photography expert’s skill level had significantly dropped in her mind. Also, what she didn’t mention was... that guy charges 2000 yuan, even with a discount for two people, it’ll still be 3000 yuan.

Xu Liya hesitated, her mind started spinning wildly, considering her words.

Li Younan watched the little girl’s eyes rolling around and found it amusing, saying, ”Alright, let’s see the situation then, I’ll take a few photos of you before heading over.”

Xu Liya’s face suddenly bloomed with a smile.
