Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 131: Chapter 93: Hardcore Renovation Time: Fans Soaring!

The wiring is very tidy and aesthetically pleasing, and the design structure is also quite reasonable.

Electrical and plumbing skills are more of an experiential kind, but Li Younan is essentially a bona fide top science student. He had a solid understanding of electrical studies in middle and high school. With the combination of both, his circuit design has considered more safety aspects, including possible loads on each power strip and other factors.

Regarding the plumbing, the main water pipe has been divided into three major directions. One extends into the main house, another naturally goes into the bedroom, and a third is directly connected by Li Younan to the riverside courtyard. A faucet will be installed there, which will make anything more convenient in the future, whether planting trees, flowers, or camping and barbecuing. He confirmed he hadn’t missed anything.

Working as an electrician didn’t go entirely smoothly. Of course, the resistance wasn’t from the work itself. Given his current capability, renovating the water and electricity at his grandpa’s house is as simple as 1 + 1 = 2.

The resistance mainly came from his family’s worries. For example, at the beginning, his mother arrived at his grandfather’s house on the first day and saw Li Younan pulling out the old wires, which frightened her into stopping him, complaining, ”Nonsense!”

Li Younan was a bit helpless yet somewhat moved and patiently explained things to his mother, which allowed him to proceed slowly with the construction.

In fact, before this, Li Younan had already racked his brains explaining to his grandparents that what he was doing was absolutely safe.

However, only Lu Xiaolan trusted him more, because the little girl didn’t understand what being so skilled at these tasks meant for a Generation Z youth like Li Younan.

Nevertheless, she constantly held the device to live-stream Li Younan’s construction process.

From the bullet comments, she gradually began to understand how amazing her cousin is.

At first, the skeptical and derogatory comments gradually disappeared as Li Younan skillfully used the tools for electrical work. They were replaced with praise and astonishment.

”Ah, such a handsome guy doing electrical work!”

”Comment from a twenty-year professional electrician: This guy is definitely a pro!”

”I’m not a professional, but I think his wiring has an inexplicable elegance!”

”Sichuan Fire Department comment: Wiring is very standard and regulated, no safety hazards, thumbs up!”

A comment below read: ”Wow, looks like the official upstairs is slacking off during work hours, watching videos and live streams?”

Watching Li Younan wire really gives a comfortable feeling.

For several consecutive days, Brother Long stayed in the live stream room but never actively said a word. During this time, he spent three to five hundred yuan daily on gifts for Li Younan. At the moment, Li Younan hasn’t paid Brother Long any salary yet, and the red envelope he sent before was returned with these gifts and even had a surplus.

After the broadcast, Li Younan messaged Brother Long helplessly: ”Brother Long, why are you sending me gifts?”

Brother Long replied indifferently: ”A fair trade.”

Li Younan reiterated: ”By the way, when are you going to send me that contract?”

Brother Long coldly replied: ”Are you in a hurry? The emperor is not anxious, why should you be? You’re not at a loss, so why so hasty? I’ll send it to you when I’m free, but I’m busy these days!”

Brother Long’s temperament is still fiery, but nowadays, Li Younan doesn’t mind his sharp tongue at all and even feels like teasing him, but he restrained himself this time.

Because Brother Long has been working hard these days, Li Younan shoots videos from different angles of himself working, as well as daily renovation progress, and submits them to Brother Long before each live stream, who then painstakingly edits them.

Not every day, only when there’s significant change will it be made into a video episode.

This series about the old house renovation has already updated three episodes.

The first episode, showing the original condition, already has over ten thousand likes.

And the second episode on plumbing and the third on the completed electrical makeover has slightly fewer likes, currently only a few thousand.

Actually, Li Younan doesn’t really care, but Brother Long reassured him: ”This kind of old house renovation video generally gets the most traffic when the final result is shown. The whole renovation process is being documented, there’s live streaming every day, and I’ve kept your stream clips. When it’s truly completed, we’ll make a long video from them, and then it’ll surely go viral with tens of thousands to even millions of likes possible! But there’s no rush now.”

Even though Li Younan remained calm-minded, he complimented Brother Long: ”Brother Long, you really have a great attitude, thanks for the counseling, it cleared my mind.”

Brother Long just replied with a simple ”Hmm,” seemingly satisfied that he managed to calm Li Younan down.

The renovation proceeded in full swing. After completing the major water and electricity makeover, Li Younan planned to create separate entrances for all four bedrooms and install an individual bathroom for each. While planning this, his fan base began to grow rapidly, increasing by more than 100,000 in just one week!

His followers reached 200,000!

Meanwhile, advertising deals started pouring in one after another.
