Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1644: Chapter 813: Empathy (First Update)

Zhou Yun quite agrees with Zhou Lan’s words.

Many people, you think they have disappeared, vanished, left the circle you’re in, but no one knows when they’ll suddenly reappear and make a comeback.

Windsor is just such a person.

When Zhou Yun met her, she never thought she would be around for so long.

From Wen Bing’s girlfriend to Wen Bing’s ex-girlfriend, then she became a producer at Seapool Film and Television.

This person went from a law firm’s front desk admin to a producer in just a few years.

Put in another story, it’s a character taking the lead role in a script.

If it weren’t for Zhou Yun disliking her so much, she might even admire this woman.

Zhou Lan laughed and said, ”Hou Mengjie cooperating with Seapool made Yao Yuanfeng quite upset.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Yes, didn’t Hou Mengjie cooperate well with Yao Yuanfeng before? Why did Hou Mengjie turn around and start working with another company?”

”Because Seapool gave Hou Mengjie greater autonomy, I guess,” Zhou Lan said. ”You know what Yao Yuanfeng is like, working with New Shield, which creator isn’t bound by New Shield? Hou Mengjie, someone who even thinks you’re acting like a big shot when filming together, you can imagine how sensitive and difficult he is.”

Among so many collaborating directors, Hou Mengjie is the only one who said Zhou Yun is difficult and acts like a big shot.

Zhou Lan found it incredible. Should Zhou Yun cooperate even more? On set, no matter what, she wouldn’t say much, didn’t agree with Hou Mengjie’s filming method, yet still performed according to the way he wanted.

Maybe Hou Mengjie is only suitable to film some newbie actors, those who are respectful and obedient to him, bringing him that sense of authority and control.

Afterwards, Zhou Lan maliciously thought, to Hou Mengjie, Zhou Yun’s biggest problem is being too popular, too high in status.

Zhou Yun’s presence is itself a nuisance.

”Do you think Hou Mengjie’s future films will be good?” Zhou Lan asked.

Zhou Yun: ”Don’t know, with that filming style, it doesn’t matter which actor plays the role, as long as he himself can have a group of loyal fans.”

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”Yeah, ugh, it’s frustrating, I quite want to see him fail, but it seems difficult.”

”There’s no need for that, whatever he achieves afterwards, it’s his own business, it has nothing to do with us.” Zhou Yun said calmly, ”Anyway, we won’t have any relation with him afterwards, won’t cooperate.”

Zhou Lan: ”That’s true, but the things he did really make me angry.”

”I’m angry too, but what can we do?” Zhou Yun shook her head, ”We don’t have any way to retaliate.”

”If you wanted revenge, you have the capability though.” Zhou Lan teased with a smile.

Zhou Yun still shook her head, saying, ”Never mind, there’s no need, he hasn’t done anything absolutely unforgivable.”

”True, don’t get your hands dirty.” Zhou Lan nodded, ”Then I’ll just pray daily to the heavens for his next film to flop!”

Zhou Yun: ”Oh, Sister Lan, what are you doing.”

”Can’t I even pray to the heavens?” Zhou Lan said righteously, ”Don’t stop me, I must curse him every now and then.”

Zhou Yun was quite helpless.

However, at the end of the day, Zhou Yun doesn’t like Hou Mengjie either. So, she understands why Zhou Lan would do this.

”How is ’Killing Song’ filming going? Lots of action scenes, did you get injured?”

”There are always some bumps and bruises, but thankfully nothing serious.” Zhou Yun said, ”I quite enjoy filming it, Tim is a very creative director, his designs for many actions and shots were quite surprising to me, things not even appearing in the script.”

Zhou Lan asked: ”I saw his previous films, he’s a director who plays with shots in a dazzling way.”

”Mm.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”’Killing Song’ getting him as director is a very right decision.”

Zhou Lan looked at her in surprise, saying, ”It sounds like you’re quite satisfied with him.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Zhou Lan: ”Although Tim Lang isn’t a particularly famous director, being able to become the director for ’Killing Song’ surely shows he has some skills. You should maintain a good relationship with him, perhaps there will be many cooperation opportunities in the future.”
