Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1609: Chapter 806: Occurrence

”It’s okay, there will be chances in the future.” After he finished speaking, he turned to Zhou Lan and smiled, ”Zhou Yun is also filming in Australia, right? Will you go see her?”

”I will.” Zhou Lan nodded, ”She’s filming there alone, and I’m a bit worried. I heard from Xiaoyun that Zhou Yun has been making her run lines in the room every night. She hasn’t worked this hard on her lines in a long time, the pressure from filming must be huge.”

Lin Zhiping: ”It’s an international big production in an unfamiliar environment, so it’s normal to feel pressured.”

”Do you usually feel a lot of work pressure? How do you usually relieve stress?”

”Me?” Lin Zhiping said, ”Exercise, or go to an exhibition.”

”What kind of exhibition do you like to see?”

”I don’t have any preference. When I’m irritable and can’t calm down, I find an exhibition to check out,” Lin Zhiping explained, ”It’s not out of any hobby.”

”I see.” Zhou Lan laughed and nodded.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

Zhou Lan took it out and saw it was Liu Qidong calling.

Zhou Lan answered the phone and asked, ”Hey, Qidong, you looking for me?”

Liu Qidong couldn’t contain his excitement and said, ”Sister Lan, Liang Yuanpu agreed to act in our film!”

Zhou Lan was taken aback.

”Really?” She sat upright with surprise.

Liu Qidong said, ”I just left his house. He asked us to contact his company tomorrow to sign the contract.”

Zhou Lan was overjoyed.

”Okay, okay, no problem. I’ll take care of the contract. Congratulations!” she said happily, ”We actually got him!”

Liu Qidong excitedly talked on the phone for a long time.

After hanging up, Zhou Lan couldn’t hide her happiness.

Seeing her like this, Lin Zhiping asked, ”What good news has made you so happy?”

Zhou Lan said, ”Liang Yuanpu agreed to join in ’Child of Prophecy’. It’s a project that Xiao Yun and I are working on.”

Hearing Liang Yuanpu’s name, Lin Zhiping immediately wowed.

He asked, ”Is he the lead?”

”Oh, no, he’s playing a major villain in it,” Zhou Lan said, ”The lead is a newcomer actor I’m working with, Huang Zicheng, you probably don’t know him.”

Lin Zhiping shook his head and said, ”I really don’t know, but is Liang Yuanpu really willing to be a supporting role to a newcomer? Actors usually care a lot about their rank.”

”Liang Yuanpu has reached a point where he doesn’t care about rank anymore,” Zhou Lan said, ”His status in the worldly society, no matter who else emerges, he’s already a top actor of his era, nobody can shake that.”

”Alright then.”

Zhou Lan: ”What I’m saying probably doesn’t interest you much, right? It’s just some showbiz stuff.”

”No, I’m not that familiar with your circle, but listening to you talk about it is quite interesting,” Lin Zhiping said.

Zhou Lan: ”The things in our circle aren’t much different from other circles, it’s just that with the spotlight and cameras, we get more attention.”

”Indeed, nothing new under the sun.”

”Hey, by the way, I’ve always wanted to ask, don’t you interact much with actresses? Don’t your circle have people doing this kind of broker thing?”

Lin Zhiping said, ”I’ve met some, but I’m not interested in those things. I still want a more serious relationship.”

Zhou Lan: ”Really?”

”Really.” Lin Zhiping said, ”You should believe that not every man is like what you think.”

Zhou Lan laughed.

In the evening, after Zhou Lan and Lin Zhiping finished watching a movie, a call came in just in time.

It was the head of the public relations team.

They said that a dozen Hollywood media outlets reported thirty minutes ago about Hugh Redman’s incident of hitting someone at a bar, and it put Hugh Redman directly on Twitter’s trending topics. Moreover, almost every report mentioned other actors from ’Killing Song’, including Zhou Yun, Chris Pine, and Nakajima Hoto, with photos attached showing Zhou Yun’s face clearly.

Lin Zhiping asked, ”Shall I take you home?”

Zhou Lan said helplessly, ”I’ll have to trouble you to take me back to the office.”

”Hmm, there’s an emergency again, and you have to work overtime?” Lin Zhiping asked.

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”Yes, I have to work overtime.”

Lin Zhiping nodded and drove Zhou Lan back to the office.

”Let me know when you’re done, I’ll come pick you up,” Lin Zhiping said.

”No need, just go back and rest, don’t wait for me,” Zhou Lan said, ”I don’t even know if I’ll be going back tonight, things have gotten a bit serious.”
